Ok today I had an about 2 and 1/2 hour session. I played with my girlfriend Kaitlyn for about an hour of it. She was doing well, she finally hit the mirage > legover > repeat drill. She actually hit 6 contacts of it. We also worked on her clippers.

I hit some basic toe shuffle drills.

pdx mirage > smear > dimwalk > repeat
pdx mirage > pixie legover > parkwalk > repeat
pdx mirage > fairy butterfly > repeat

Then after Kaitlyn left I worked on my freezing technique.

Then when I was ready to call it quits, I decided to warm down by kicking some...

YA RIGHT!!!

I broke my kicking record of 700 with a new record of...

2279 !!! 8O :D 8)

Yep that's right. I don't think I will ever try and beat that record. Too much time.

So today was a great session, hopefully Loren and I can get together tomorrow.

Ok this goes out to the Vegas Crew:

Should I make 3 videos, 1 for each Saturday?
or
Should I make 1 video, 1 for all Saturdays?

The reason I'm asking this is because I was going through the first Saturday's footage and there is a lot that could be put into the video and I actually made a 14 minute long video just from that one Saturday's session.

Let me know what you think.

Hmm even though im not in them, :-P, I would probably say if each saturday is long IE atleast 5 minutes then make one for each saturday if there short... then make just one video, IMO :)

--- EDIT---

Bah just make a video for each saturday (didnt notice you said 14 minute just for that saturday) :P

You should combine that into a drill.

Props on 12 gyro clippers. Skooling gyro clippers must force you to really master spins, I should try that.

As for your video stuff, if you have 14 minutes of footage from a single session... that could mean a lot of things. WHen making your video, just remember to keep things varied. So like, if you have 2 strings which are real similar, but both are good, you still might want to cut one of them. Jorden`s videos are good because they are long, but still manage to have lots of variety in them. Just a suggestion.

Keep up the solid shredding. :)

Thanks Ken for the tips.

There are a few that are similar, but it's so hard to chose which to put in and which to leave out.

Oh well I'll figure out something.

I haven't played footbag in 2 days!?!?! 8O

It's ok...on Wednesday, after doing all those freezes and breaking my kick record, my right ankle felt a little sore and I didn't want to take any chances and injure it again. So I'm resting it until tomorrow.

Had a great session today. There were tons of people there. I hit some nice runs, one with 4 5 add tricks in it mingled with many 4's and some 3's. I was really working on clipper shuffling, ripwalks, sidewalks, etc. I hit bedwetter for the first time today as well. Almost landed a phasing ss butterfly a few times. All in all a good time.

One or many vids, I don't care, as long as they look good and don't show me merlining out of witchdoctor more than 5 times in the same vid

So did you like how I got a couple sneek shots of Kalie and the other newbs who didn't feel ready for video yet? I hope there was at least one good thing to show of everyone... but if not there will be soon.

Great stuff yesterday, every session gets better and better.

Thanks for posting here Ken :D I think Ben deserves props, and you are a very cool shredder for him to recieve them from.

Peace,

Sad news to report, my ankle is once again hurt. I can bend it more than when it hurt before, but when I try and stretch it, it hurts. So I guess it's back to flipside clipper and toe work. Oh well, I'll be insane on both sides if this keeps happening.

Well, that's up for debate. A long time ago I landed on my ankle while doing a paradon, but then after a week of rest it felt perfectly fine.

About 6 months later my ankle just started to hurt during a session for no reason. Then ever since then it's been off and on.

So, I don't know if the first incident has anything to do with what's happening now, but it has been very annoying.

With the hosting of the videos?? I'm dieing here, I set u all up and everything.

I'm so sorry about your ankle. Rest from footbag for three days entirely, except maybe 2 or 3 minutes of clipper freezes both sides (if you can, and nothing fancier than those two adds right there) If it hurts two, take the three days off entirely. Then, after that you can go back to flip. But things like spinning, planting, jumping may hurt it as well as clipper, so it is best to let it fully heal while strengthening it cafefully and testing to see if clippering causes the problem. Ice too, obviously.

Evan is coming next Saturday. I hope you are ready to make a supreme video.

Peace man, get well soon.

Had a 2 hour session today.

Sorry Loren, but after watching Jorden's new video, I couldn't resist playing. If anyone has not seen Jorden's new video Ocho, go download it right now. I literally mean right now...stop reading this post, go to the videos section, and download it. Also while you're there download our club's new video, Vegas Raw.

Anyway back on track, today I was feeling good. Started with basic toe drills:

(illusion > legover > repeat) x5
(mirage > illusion > legover > repeat) x2.5
(illusion > symp. mirage > repeat) x2
(symp. pixie > symp. mirage > repeat) x3.75

Then I worked on some really fun stuff:

toe inspinning mirage - both sides
flip spinning clipper > flip inspinning clipper
toe inspinning pdx mirage - both sides
flip clip set inspinning pdx mirage
symp. mirage > inspinning mirage > repeat

I also worked on some flip stepping and some other toe drills, but none good enough to mention.
