We hung out for a while the other day and I let him walk all over me, I was hoping he'd bite me and give me super footbag powers.
I will try again...

okay.. he doesn't seem to be much of a biter, he crawled on me for a bit to no avail.
I love reading your blog. It is part of the reason I make it through work each day

Yeah I definitely read 14 pages of Mosher's blog yesterday at work and I plan on finishing the rest today, and possibly starting someone else's.

Woo hoo!!! ITS SUMMER!!!

I spent a ton of yesterday out in the sun playing around.
I played some freestyle soccer ('football' from here on in) with matt (my housemate that isn't jared) and then I did tons of fun stuff with Vida all day long.
I was out in the sun enough to get a sunburn! :D

I had summer school this morning. We took a break in the middle of class (its a 3 hour class) and I headed outside to hack a bit.
I was shocked to see this dude already out there hacking! I joined in and we wound up quickly growing to a 4 man circle and we got lots of hacks.
They all have summer school too so we are going to be summer school hack buddies.
One of the dudes was doing stalls and stuff, he hit legover from inside and a nice clipper, he is VERY interested in learning more and more, he said I gave him something to do all summer.

At noon when class ended I headed down to the lake to meet up with Matt for more football. It was great and sunny and we played for an hour or two and I learned alot of new football tricks. I hit alot of tricks that matt had never seen before and so I jokingly started naming everything I hit.

My best move is Mosher-Turbo 5.

The day before when we were playing down by the lake I also had a hack session with this dude that I saw hacking.

I used to hate hacky sack mainly because I never have good enough luck to run into super hackers that can keep it up. kicking it around is umpteen times better when you're not the only one able to keep the game alive.

Ooh! I have started using more and more footbag techniques in my football. I have also gotten matt to start applying footbag thinking i spew at length to football. Most football players are very one sided but it isnt looked down upon at all so nothing is done about it.
Matt and I are going to get so good at this and then start posting videos of all our coolass original tricks and it'll all be way bothsided.
Matt was kicking the ball around and I called for knee>spin>knee and he hit it bsos first try!

I think kicking the football is making my footbag kicking get better too. Footbags are sooo much more forgiving!

Grass is also rather forgiving, matt and I tested this out by having many dramatic falls each.

Ooh! I a was shredding a bit in the grass and went for spinning osis>insane inspinning but I wound up in a heap on the ground before I had any idea what went wrong.

Vida's bags are looking so sweet.
Both her and I are formally selling bags.
Pleeeeease let me know if you have any questions.

I smell bad right now and my shoulders are on fire.
Yay summer! :D

I'm gonna head uptown and buy ball bearings for my footbags.

WOAH TOM!

That stuff about spiders really freaked me out... not only cuz I can't stand even the thought of any bug, nevermind a spider, crawling on me, but mainly because of what I wrote about you a few months ago...

I wrote a GLASS post (YES, I did actually do it!) in Microsoft word a few weeks after the event, and I saved it as an attachment in my email to finish it off later. But for months I couldn't open the attachment :? ...By the time I was able to open it, it was so long after the fact that I didn't bother posting it... but here's what I wrote in the first paragraph:

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
...I was late to get the session on Friday night (as usual), and I was so tired that I just chilled for a bit. Tom wasn’t even there! I swear to god, Tom is Spiderman! He’ll be chilling one second and the next second he’s disappeared and returns hours later—he did this a few times during GLASS!...
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

So... yeah... freaky if you ask me...

My sick 1 is so lame.

I felt pressured to get something in and all I got was a piece of crap.

I was trying blurry whirling tootsie roll but I couldnt get the catch much higher than my lower calf, I really wanted a good genuine one that lands up high and rolls down.

Instead I went for Foe Wauxpin and wound up hitting a really dumb looking foe sloppy butterfly rake thing. ughhhg gross.

I was practicing the wauxpin ending over and over and I was getting them good and clean and with the proper gyro toe ending (not the twisted ugly butterfly rake thing) but I just couldnt hit a good one on camera.

I actually have no idea what side of my leg the bag went, I didn't even care and just called it a wauxpin. I didn't spin enough.

I wish I hadn't submitted that trick, now I have to listen to people telling me that it's not a proper wauxpin and that I shouldn't have set it from Foe.

Here is my reply: eat ass, I don't care.

I didn't even care and just called it a wauxpin. I didn't spin enough.
so just call it a 'waux'.
oh and if you hit from foe, call it 'fowaux'
or just 'fwauk'... sounds very brittish

Thanks for the support guys.

I will hit something good next time.

I won a pair of new CLIMACOOL ORIGINALS on ebay!!

Check em out:

Image

I have been playing ALOT of footbag, hence my current climas are slayed to crap. They were only 'pretty good'. They were definately better than my first pair of climas, but not as good as I am hoping my new ones are going ot be. I have seen this model in the flesh several times and they always look sooo nice. I can't wait to get my hands on mine. I have that picture as my desktop and I sit here salivating over those shoes all day. I want to run my fingers all over them and get them all modded how I want (though I hear that they are totally shreddable in raw form. Andrew Grant is busting largehouse with his originals in original form. I will still wind up with a nice gooey rail of sorts I am sure.

I was just drilling DSO's a few minutes ago, I can't wait to hit them in my new climas, a la mikko.

My neck is wicked sore right now from spotting the bag while drilling spinning and gyro like mad today. I was working my repeating spins and trying things like spinning clip>gyro clip rpt and gyro clip>spinning clip rpt. I didn't get either.

I was playing down by the lake with Derrick and Matt today, we had a good time playing freestyle football together, we had a good triangle going. I really like hitting rooted 'kicks', where you put your foot on the ground and the ball lands on your foot and bounces back up and you keep going. Stylish. I hit a bunch of different versions of this trick, outsides are the easiest and look sweet. Matt and I are going to film next session and we're going to make a football movie! :D :footbag:

I want to get to go to europe sooooo bad!!!

I am drilling like frigging mad, I want to get as strong and confident as I can before then.

Holy shit, mikko lepisto looks so menacing in First Day Out 2005.
I love how he uses nukes so well and how all his shit is black and that looks mean.

I am on a mission to find the perfect short shorts.

I have what I want in my head, now I must make it happen.

I have a meeting with a professor at my university soon to begin talks regarding the beginning of a FORMAL R&D OF THE FOOTBAG SHOE.
I proposed to my university that I could take on this design project as a summer independant thing. If I get to do this I will definately get funding and I will get to buy a shit-ton of shoes and shit to cut up and do research on.

So yeah.. uhm.. I think this may actually happen! woo hoo!

I really hope I can pull this off for you guys. :)

PS here is some stuff I have hit recently:
- DSO DBSOS
- whirl with my keys
- xbd toe set ss legover and ss pickup BS
- symple swirl and symple rev swirl BS
- 4 x gyro clipper

PPS derrick is almost as good as me now! :o 8O

I like how all his sets are slurry, too.

I hit DATW, as well as swirl, with my keys last night, while "coached."

How do you slur a nuke or an atomic?

I suppose you are probably referring to his stepping, I think it's a bit of a rude exaggeration to call them ALL slurry.

I think he is inclined to look like his shit is slurry because of how extreme the bow in his legs is.

I am sooo physically exhausted again!

I love it! I have been spending TONS of time outside in the sun playing everyday.

The weather has been so wonderful and so I have been making the best of my time. I kicked my new football that I bought today (picture soon) and I played footbag with derrick and randy.

I got some new shorts too! They are goldy-bronze and I love em!

I set my new ducking clipper record at 12! Yay! It seemed like I was ducking for such a long time!

I want Vida to come home right now. She had to be flown out of the country to save the world. Good thing she is magical, we're safe. :D

I filmed Derrick shredding today, I am going to make a Derrick Ogden 09/04 04/06/05 video tonight.

He hit some sick shit today. Reverse whirling swirl stood out for me. 8O
