Improving CT 300 Toes
Improving CT 300 Toes
Ok i recently got 300's, and i love them except for the toes! THe toes are stiff.... there is a little puff from the tongue that makes catching the bag really hard. And setting even worse. All the work i have done on atomics/pixies has been lost because the toes suck so much!
I have taken the padding out of the tongue, and i have cut the toe wall sewing. Can anyone help me make the toe good?!?!!?

They'll break in, give them some time. The 300's are completely playable without any modding but the eyelet cut. I have a pair that I played in unmodded (except for the eyelet cut) for a while, then I modded them out by cutting out the insides, outsides, and toes, and the tongue -- it was completely unnecessary.
I NEEDED to cut out the tongue padding cause my shoes are small. I have size 7 in womens. So 5 in mens. That means that the toe is a little SMALLER then my bags. So I had to lace it different and cut out the padding.
I am going to play with a wet bag in a couple minutes.

rework your technique.
i had trouble with the toes on my climas, but i spent 2 weeks reworking my technique and now i bust bigger, better, longer and harder. it wasn't a problem with my shoes, it was a problem with my technique, which i attributed to the uber flatness (verging on concave) surfaces of lavers. i got sloppy with my delays, and need to refine my actions and then it was all good again!

A.G.
I have one.
Sigh.
I dont know. Maybe just eliminate toe uptime components? Cause the set is so horrible.
I didnt get the chance to play with a wet bag. I will do it tomorrow

I dont have a job. and I am sure that it is just the fact that the shoes are not broken in.
I was just wondering if anyone knew of any ways to make them a little bigger
Its not the sidewalls that make them small, its Lengthwise, too short

My friend Kimi Bartram plays in 300's the same size as you and doesn't have a problem with the toe box. Although, the bag does seem a little small. I would advise redoingg the lacing for a bigger toebox. If you work it right, you can make a BIG toe box with 300's
Edit: Also, if you played in Lavers and did fine with toes, how are the toes of 300's worse? Between same size Lavers and 300's, Laver toe boxes are by far smaller...

Yeah Cameron. I took that out. But the problem is that the canvas that USED to have the padding still sticks up. I cant get it down. It acts as if the padding is still in there.... I think the wet bag will clear it up.

I bought my 300s from other shredder who had done the normal toe box mod but I guess that was it. I haven't even taken any padding off from the tongue. I have noticed that the tongue "sticks up" but I don't have any problem with it, cause my shoes are size 10½.
Unfortunately my shoes are too small for me, so I play without the insoles (I've ordered a pair of lavers, size 11½).
Some say that they are a bit clumsy shoes and fit better for tall and heavy players but I can't really compare cause I've never had lavers before. At least they feel a little bit clumsy now when I don't have the insoles.
