max, i've got no idea. i don't think so though, because i read somewhere that it goes through the czech republic! how are you getting to berlin?

.
.
our show on tuesday was good. it was at a school for deaf children. after our demonstration we kicked with the kids for a while, and some of them were really talented! like there was one really tall boy who was deaf and had 12 diopters, but he could kick the bag like 9 times. beautiful inside kicks and some toe kicks!!! i was surely impressed!!
later that day i shredded a bit, hit pixie torque and ps whirl for a teacher at that school first try. also, i've got some problems incorporating datws in strings. so i was quite happy when this worked out.

yesterday we had our weekly training session in a gym. my legs were so tired that i wasn't able to hit anything. so i just worked on spinnings and taught my sister how to do better toe stalls. now she can hit 6 toe stalls. i hope she continues to play, and plays more often. she's 14 which is a good age to start.
yeah, today i've gotta take a break. my legs even hurt when walking.

Bernhard is back! Finally somebody else who is motivated to shred often! Had a session today with him, but nothing special happenend.

On the session on friday in the Burggarten, Flo came with his cam and we filmed a bit. Unfortunatly the best runs happened when the cam was off :?
Saturday Flo and me put together following vid (big, big thanks to Flo for filming and editing and making this possible!):

just came back from the burgenland. was there on a trip with my family for 2 days. actually it was pretty nice.
on saturday i did a little footbag show and a demonstration. i just played to my routine song (it went okay...had like 3 drops and hit ps whirl as last trick). then i did a little demonstration. i hit toe stall as a one add. then around the world as a two add. then datw as a 3 add.
then i showed them pixie set. then a torque and then a porque. i even hit ripstein for them.
and the good thing is that i got a gym teacher really interested in footbag. i'll have to tell the linz-gravityfighters-crew about it, cause she's from linz and now she's gonna organize a footbag workshop.
yeah. i also played soccer for a while, and then i went swimming.
.
.
i've really gotta learn some new tricks now!!! any ideas?
.
.
to or video: thanks to flo and alex for making this video!! it looks really cool! it's just too bad that i sucked when we started to film. we warmed up and i played well, but when we decided it's time to film and changed the place, i couldn't hit anything anymore. :?

Servus !

To Alex : that sumo was so nice, thanks for the slo mo, cause i want to
learn that one someday soon...maby you can show me at gfo's .

To Verena : what about double downs, or more toe shuffle ?
I think your game is very fast and energetic, and some more bad ass
multi dexing would work well with your style :P
Single moves ? hmmm, pigbeater, matador, spanishfly and some whirl/
body combinations maby ( whirlwind, pixie tomahawk ..) ?

See ya in Berlin :D

Thanks for the comments!
@Daryl: Unfortunatly I can't come to Berlin :(
But I'm pretty sure you'll hit sumo pretty soon, if you keep progressing as you did :)

EDIT: Our show at the TV will be online soon hopefully, I just need to compress it, but I have some problems with it.

He Vienna :)

Beatrice told me that she saw something about Footbag on Austrian tv, but she only saw 1 or 2 seconds. I guess that was you guys.
@ Alex what codec did you use for the video. Cause I just hear the music and the screen stays black  I really want to see the video!

Max - You may need to play the video with a DIVX player (www.divx.com) ... when I try to play it in windows media player, it only plays the music, not the video. So maybe this will help?

Yes, it's a divx codec. It plays fine in my wmp :?
Sorry for the problems. I don't know much about encoding and stuff like that. I made it with a cheap editing program and was glad that the quality was okay.

thanks a lot for the comments as well!! :D

today we had our weekly footbag-vienna training session (today there was alex, bernhard, nora and anita). recently i haven't been playing that much...my legs are tired all the time. i hate that.
i've really gotta work on my stepping set. i can hit 12 or 13 ripwalks, and they aren't too low, but the most embarassing thing ever is, that i still haven't hit blurry whirl. i think i'm gonna drill my stepping ss clippers. that might help me. i really hope so.
at the moment i'm not very happy with my game. i haven't hit any new tricks for a while.
today the only thing i was happy with was pdx whirl>ps whirl. :D

Next time when you try a new move tell me to go away for a minute and I'm sure you'll hit it

For me the session wasn't that good either. Worked on barrages and stepping set and finally hit fairy ducking butterfly :)

just got back from a footbag session with alex.
again i sucked.
i don't know...my legs were just slow and a bit sore from running yesterday. i really like running...i know almost everybody thinks that it's the most boring thing to do....
yeah, the only two half decent combos i hit were blender>pdx blender and double-over-down>pdx whirl.

.
.
yeah. i've gotta go and study now. huge exam on tuesday.

Oh yeah!!! I finished my first bag with facile (thanks again Jochen) :D
I hope it will be shreddable some time, but I guess not :? But I really like the colors. Maybe I shouldn't make it dirty :)
Here's a pic of it between my Hania and Abshire bags:

wow, i'm really impressed, alex!! 8O 8O
.
.
just got back from berlin. actually at 6 o'clock in the morning. i had to take a nap though, and think i've gotta take another one soon. i slept like 20 hours in the last five days.
yeah. so gfo rocked a lot!!
i arrived there on friday morning at 6 o'clock after a horrible night in the bus, it was very crowed and i hardly could sleep at all. i went sightseeing on friday with the non-footbagging friend of mine that came with me. she knows berlin quite well and so she showed me some cool places! berlin is really an awesome city.
on friday i shredded a bit with soren, kaspar and mathias from denmark. they are the danish youngsters (14, and 12 years old) and shredding it up! they are also cool to hang out with, and so motivated. they are shredding all day long! i was really impressed by them!
.
.
yepp. then saturday was routine day. both my qualification routine and my final routine were really, really bad. it's really sad to know that one year ago you had better routines, even though you improved a lot over the last year!! i felt so tired when i was on stage that i couldn't hit anything. also the final was at 11:15 or even later in the evening and that's way too late for me. though i think i've never played in front of so many people! it was amazing.
i really hope that soon, i'll start to have good routines again. at the moment my routines are so bad, that's it's not even funny anymore.
however, props to lise for winning gfo!
yeah. then felix had a badass routine! it was so good!!!!!!
.
.
sunday was my favourite day of gfo. it was such an awesome day. the weather and the location were perfect and so was the music. i shredded quite a lot.
i got to play with ilja quite a lot and he's got my vote for the best style! i love it!
i also played in a big circle with ian, max and ilja. later viktor from poland joined us. it was an awesome circle, i had some good runs, though i didn't hit anything special. my datws were good that day, so i hit a few midstring. i think they should be done more often, because they are a crowd-pleaser and look awesome.
i was really impressed by max' barraging set, it's so good. he also hit flurry bsos in that circle.
i decided to compete in sick3 on sunday, but failed to hit my combo. i had fairy butterfly>pdx whirl>ps whirl on my foot, but couldn't catch it anymore.
.
.
.
on monday i went sightseeing with nathi, schubi and alexandra. had a good time, though i was really tired again (got to sleep at 6:15 that day...).

@the gfo-crew: thanks a lot for the great event!!

wahhh.
it's summer. and i'm having a sore throat since last saturday. :o
today i got a really bad cough and lost my voice again.
.
.
well, i haven't been playing that much lately, cause i've always felt really tired and sick when playing.
so i only had off sessions.
i've hit pdx whirl*4 and always dropped on the fifth one.
also my flip fear is getting a lot better. now i can hit it midstring. really flip fear is so much harder for me than fairy butterfly...

lots of footbag-workshops last week.
a footbag-show.
lots of people who showed an interest.
i learned to juggle with four balls.

au revoir.
