Man, this film blew my mind (excuse the pun). It's a really scary portrayal of 'life' after death. Short, simple and shocking.

It'll leave you broken.

Truely an awesome short.

I must say that I'm a little supprised that, after 25 views, no-one has commented.

It makes me think that those 25 people (or so) are off contemplating their own existence and questioning their own belief system.

I didn't find it all that awe-inspiring. The only thing I really got from it was that the only distinguishing factor among heaven, hell, and purgatory was the quality of their TVs.

But, meh. Am I missing something?

SPOILER!!!

The officer (he's aparantly a police officer, if you do some research. A Sargent to be exact), wakes up in Heaven. Here he has peace and eternity. And yet he is not satisfied. He cannot accept that he is dead and that THIS is heaven.
He picks a direction (one's as good as another) and walks off.

First point: What if that IS all there is? What if that IS what life after death holds for us all?

After walking for (how long?) he returns to the point where he started. There lies the TV, and his helmet. He now knows that there is nothing more.

Second point: How long was he walking for? You can see that he's much thinner and exhausted and probably a little insane. Could it have been years?

Faced with the reality in which he finds himself, the Sargent pulls his gun and blows his brains out.

And now he's in Purgetory. Now he's awaiting judgment because he chose to take his own life.

Third point: You've just killed yourself to escape a prison, only to find yourself locked in the same cage with a slighly different paint job. How would you feel?

Realising that he's still trapped, he takes his life. He puts his gun in his mouth and fires again.

Forth point: To think that killing yourself AGAIN is the only escape... to actually pull your gun on yourself AGAIN must reflect the torture that the sargent is experiencing. Why would you if one 'life' is as good as the next? Perhaps going to hell will bring something different. Something other than this fifty percent grey?

And now he finds himself in Hell. This is his hell. It's the place he's killed himself twice to escape from, only to end up here.
He shoots the TV out of rage and puts the gun to his head. There can be nothing beyond hell, right? Surely this will end it all and he will have peace?
But no. He's out of bullets.

The man stands totally defeated.

I loved this movie because it scares the shit out of me. I'm somewhat agnostic (that is, on only use that term because it's the easiest way to describe my belief system) and to think that... if there is a life after death... and THAT'S IT!
It scares me.

i have internet explorer and it took me a couple tries to get it to load. I didn't think it was all that scary though. I mean that deffenatly is scary, but it's not any scarier then dieing and haveing nothing at all after life... It was a very well done movie though and got it's point across in a short amount of time. Plus he died and still had his cloths from his former life. As long as I have a footbag in my pocket when I die I'll be fine

I'm agnostic as well, but I view this as a work of fiction. I didn't find it scary, fascinating, captivating, interesting, or anything, to be honest. It looked cool, that's about it. It didn't make me think anymore than I've already thought about what's after death. I understand where you're coming from, and I remember arriving at those questions, and simply leaving them unanswered. That's why I'm agnostic, anyways. Or whatever, however you want to define it. I'm sorry but I just did not like this short. I hope others will, though.
