The special talents segment that he is doing today is going to be on a show called MTV Hits, it's on at 9:00 am every day this week. I think Loren said he was going down there at 2:00 pm today so that leads me to believe that he will be on Thursday's or Friday's show. This is directly from MTV's website:

Stupid human tricks, juggling, belly dancing, etc. is all it takes and the winner will have their picture taken and added to the "Hits Talent Wall Of Fame" for the entire summer!

And you know Loren will win this competition easily.

I don't know man, there could be some tough competition, you never know... plus MTV audiences are generally impressed fairly easily, and footbag may appear too technical for them. Anyways we will be rooting for Bum!

No no, better news has arrived out of what started out as a crappy day... after we couldn't find mtv at the hard rock (what the hell right?) we were told that they had been booted... but they had been planning on going to the Palms anyway, which we instictively knew and called to find out about in the morning, even though we eventually found out via the web. So we went to the palms at about noon and sure enough, peeps at the pool, and the two people who knew me from the trl shoot (which should air sometime this week with fat joe and fallout boys...ask your mtv watchin friends about the lineups...), but they said because they had to switch sites so soon, they moved the event to Friday, and I have to be there at 10:30. He was so happy that I had found him and found out. I gave him a copy of the new video (yeah, you know the one

perfect timing eh?) and a business card of the club with my num and email on it. So, while I didn't get to go on today, I now have a few days to prep something...which I think I'd like to do with Vasek's music if he wouldn't mind... I hope he doesn't/won't...I hope dexter or honza ask him for me. But it should be good, and if I do drop, it'll only be after a long run of tripless shuffle or on the 3rd plus fearless contact. Other than those two areas, I will keep it in control and will bail seemlessly if necessary through the use of clip set mirage, clipset pickup, far legover, and osises. I hope everyone doesn't mind the guilts...I might not need them but in case I do more than two paradox mirages I'll prolly start using them.

Thanks for the encouragement, friday should be the most likely day to watch so tell your friends to stay tuned to summer break in Las Vegas (maybe if I tell them I've got people watching they'll give me more time...

)

Oh, and if Vasek would like to take my place and be on National American TV Live and get America fired up like Europe is, tell him he's got to come stay down here for more than a week, but he has free room and board at my house if so

One of you czechs (if you see this) hit me up if the funds exist to bat the idea around...I have a huge footbag club that would be like a little footbag camp around Vasek, it would be the highlight of 30 kids years, even some of their lives. I know Ben would remember it forever, as would I.

dont go fearless. go titless, do flappers, double atws. just dont drop. no one cares about blurry whirls and merlins, they want spins and ducks and oh wow did you see that! tricks. people think double atw is cooler then gangsta party.

I'll take it easy...but the crowd looks at merlin like DATW, and I do them with the same ease, and usually put them back to back when showing off to crowds...so that and phoenix I'm still doing. I'll generally stay with fours and under (and nobody better go questioning my ease with 4's)

I guess the key is to start very low - that the people can see what are easy tricks /elements of your skills.

I would put in flyers , pendulum , flappers, knee delays, outside, shuffles, spins ,ducks, atw, torques ( hm you should do that I can't), ducks....

As Jeremy mentioned in a post before , if you make one concept over and over the crowd will think it is easy - so it will be better to have great variety and not so much difficulty in it.

I do not think that Vasek should act in it - For people it is better to watch the guy from the neighbourhood and not the worldchampion.

They will get as much excited and the motivation to get as good as you is much higher than to get as good as the world champ.

I am sure you will rock !

I talked to Loren today about him on the talent show and it is very exciting. I will let him tell you, but what I will tell is that it went very well.
