New Modified Competition - Sick 15 - Sign up here.

Post by BalinorNZ »

Hey Modified competitors!

Jeremy, Jorden and I have been discussing a brand new event to encourage good strings and lots of footbag fun!

This is how it will go down:

You sign up on this thread but giving your full name and country details if you have a camera you are able to use and want to be part of this event.
Everybody over the next few weeks (how long exactly is yet to be decided) enters a video of themselves hitting a 15 move combo, of any difficulty or any type of move, (no drops allowed) and sends it to me.

Once enough entries are in or the deadline is past, we will begin releasing pools of entries, 5 at a time, every week (maybe every 2 weeks).
The community then votes for which are the top 2 (maybe 3) entries in the pool.
The players who where in the top 3 in the majority of votes must submit another entry for the 2nd round and will be re-pooled with other top 3 players.
The players who did not receive top3 positions get to do a second round also! They must submit another entry and will be re-pooled with other player their own level.
Entries will be judged by the community on: uniqueness, difficulty of moves, difficulty of links and style.

After 2 or 3 rounds we expect to have a final top 3 intermediates and top 3 open competitors. We may consider some kind of prizes in one form or another at a later date.

Now please sign up on this thread but giving your full name and country, city details if you have a camera you are able to use and want to be part of this event.

If you have any questions or comments, please post them here or PM them to me :D.

Reguards,
Nic Bathgate

I'd be interested, I'm weak guiltless to strong tiltless I mean I could probably hit a 15 guiltless of boping but it wouldn't be very cool :D Anyways I'm interested and have a digital camera.

Edit because I'm so stupid...

You have a 60 fps Camera!?! Holy shit, you lucky bastard. I can't wait to see the footage you put out. At least one of the videos you put out has to be full 60 fps! Is it HD? What kind? Can you tell I'm excited?

I think this will push the top players as 15 contacts won't be a problem so they'll be able to concentrate on the quality of links and style. Ya! Go Style!

Sweet that is 9 players so far! Almost 2 pools! Thanks everyone for signing up!

I would like to get TWENTY players before we launch this, enough for FOUR pools!!!

Come on the other 1312 posters on modified! Dont tell me none of you can hit a string of 15! It takes like 2 weeks to be able to hit a string that long!

I'll give it a shot... my longest tiltless string is 12, so hopefully I can bump it up for the time of this contest. It'll be a good goal.

Name: David Wilder
Location: North Carolina, USA
Camera: Canon S1 IS 30 fps ... never used the video till last night so hopefully I can figure out how to upload it for this.
Skill Level: Intermediate (??? Never competed  )... Tiltless

Say, when will this start/when are entries due, etc. etc.

I'll enter, and I'll ask Jason Crook if he wants the title or not since I don't think anyone will be able to beat him if he says yes.

Time to start the competition?

Not a huge amount of numbers but enough probably. Say 4 pools of 3 people each - one person gets eliminated and two go on to two pools of 4 - top two go on to final pool of 4 people.

Alright, I better give warning before closing entrys.

The entrys will close on 25th June, if you wish to sign up do it now.

After signups close I will select pools and send out PM's to people to remind them to start taping!

I don't know if I'll be able to get a camera, but if not, I can try to use my digital cam.
