Worlds 2006

Who decides where the worlds is held? I was just curious?

On the night of the first of February, cameras are installed in Steve Goldberg`s house. Then, on the morning of February second, the footbag world holds its breath as it tunes in, and waits to see whether or not he drops his first trick of the morning. If he drops, Worlds is in Europe. If he doesn`t, its held in North America.

Worlds 06 will be in Frankfurt, Germany.

I'd host worlds in Grass Valley but the Airport is an hour away and it would have to be in June

To Lon: From what I've heard, Worlds 2006 are in June. I guess mostly because of the Soccer World Cup in Germany sometime that summer.

To everyone: I hate it when people say "when are Worlds going to be in my home town?". Never, if everyone just keeps asking and not doing anything about it.

There is a form in http://www.footbag.org somewhere for throwing Your bid for next available Worlds (2007). Worlds Oversight Committee then desides which bid is the most suitable to host Worlds each year. I know there was atleast one other bid for 2006, but I guess it was too far away from the majority of players (=Europe and North America). I can't wait for Frankfurt 2006; but first and foremost, remember to pre-register for Worlds in Helsinki 2005...
