Worlds 2005 Video Challenge

On the behalf of Worlds05 organizing committee I would like to announce that the first official Worlds Video Challenge is open for competition.
Information and rules:

-------WORLDS VIDEO CHALLENGE-------

All video makers around the world read carefully.
The first official Worlds Video Challenge is taking
place in Helsinki this summer during the Footbag
World Championships. Make a 5 minute film and
you can be the winner of best video award with
great prizes.

RULES

Length: 5 minutes max

Deadline: 25th July

Idea: Make a footbag related video which represents your home country/city in some way. Remember that footbag isn´t just freestyle, use your imagination!

Judging: Idea, Filming, Editing, Spirit, Integrity

Format (two options, you dont have to deliver both):
1. MPEG 1 or 2 in PAL video system on DVD or CD
-resolution 720x576
-25 fps interlaced bottom field first OR progressive
-anamorphic widescreen OR 4:3 letterboxed OR 4:3 aspect ratio
-please use high encoding rate (such as 4mbps VBR) for good picture quality
2. Uncompressed DV-format AVI on miniDV cassette in PAL video system

Please mail to jere AT vesuri.com if you are attending so we´ll now how many videos will be shown. If there are over 15 videos, the judging panel
will choose the best ten to be shown in the screening. You need to leave your video to the staff on the check in so we can check that the video works properly.
You can also attend even if you are not coming, in that case contact the same email address.

Wow what a fucking awesome idea! Im so glad this will be happening, if only because im there to watch it! hehehe

I might see if Dad will post me my Dylan Fry video... not really good enough to put in the show but who knows... id like to watch it again anyway...

Is it wrong that I`m more pumped to see Eli vs. Sam than I am to see the actual worlds comp?

PS- Eli, if you need somebody with a deep voice to narrate, send me the script, and maybe we can work out something where I can send you a tape with me doing the narration in my best impersonation of Barry White.

Sam vs Eli - I will take the bets via pm

To add some fuel to the flames:

I put my money on Sam because he released more vids in the past than Eli. Otherwise I guess that Eli has better circumstances/ surrounding than Sam. Hm I guess Eli will make a better vid but it won't be released and so Sam will win ---------Arghhhhhh.

I wish I had time to try to make something. I can't wait to see Sam's and Eli's though...and I think everybody else is forgetting Fred and Pierre? ;p

Someone should do a crazy Worlds 2005 documentary!! That would be so sweet. I CHALLENGE you to @_______@ Everyone could get together and pool footage from EVERY DAY and EVERY ANGLE and EVERY CIRCLE!!! Think about it...
