For those out there who dont know, this little dialogue took place
5 years ago, in my dark times as a circle hacker when a young
architecture student called Ryan Mulroney, Freestyle Footbag
world champ at that time, asked me at what level we play at :P ...

Anyway, i dont know how or when to get to berlin, so you make
some plans of your own, guys  , i might go there either
thursday night or saturday morning ...

Max, you are so inspirational and i love to shred with you - this new
osis record of yours and the little story how much you used to avoid
them finally convinced me to start practicing them.
I did so waiting for my train and i hit 4 each side - take that :D !

Bea, Bjoern, Max and Philip please get down with us a little more often ;
i know the reasons making this difficult at this time, but master your
fates and shred with us !!! I need you !!!

Everybody reading this blog, gimme some reasonable challenges,
especially BOP and dlo stuff, that would be so kind :D

Who wanna play tomorrow ? I gotz time from 6-22 uhr, meld yourselves !

peace

Playing tomorrow sounds good! I gonna have a session today too, working on my endurance again. (Note: doing finally more that 35 alternating clippers! And maybe play in Lavers again...) He Mike have a good time at the Southside Festival and show the ppl there some Footbag action :) And I can't wait to play with all of you again! And Daryl plz tell me when you want to go by train to Friday night > Monday morning.

re: berlin: probably mitfahrgelegenheit hoch, and we could all go back
together by train!

daryl, are you coming to the express brass band gig on saturday?

Daryl, I challenge you to hit:

Butterfly>Pdx Mirage rpt
Butterfly>DLO>symp. Mirage> rpt on other side
osis>osis

my physio therapy has ended and my calf feels good. still, my knee
is fucked up, so don't expect me to show up in training before july
probably. You're all getting sooo ahead of me!

edit: 4 hours in front of premiere and the first raw cut of saturday's footage from Footjam is finished - and it's 20 minutes long already.
there's lots of work to do still, so don't expect anything too soon.

Thanks for the challenges mate !

Today i worked hard on my osii, and i managed to hit
butterfly>osis bs and ss clip>osis>far pick up bs :D

Again flipside is easier than strong...i guess the rason for this might
be the special attention i put up for my weaker side, like i think about
the components more, do more reps and so on...

Later on i was playing with Max for a bit, and b4 he showed up, i was
practicing osii and butters like mad ; i really need to improve my butters
like hell, they are the reason why all my walks ( dim, park, rip)
are that sucky.
But every investment has its lil' results and dimwalk midrun was like
cake, i just have to practice it more often...

Another nice moment was butter>ss legover back to back and
my lust for drills was strangely quenched.

Runs were good ; my first was 17 contacts with butter>pdx mirage bsos, plo and ducking mirage .
Later i hit flip atomsmasher into a run; other highlights were
plo b2b, ducking mirage bsos and one run that i started off with
butterfly>pdx mirage>plo>run.
All these averaged around 13 contacts, but the good thing was i used
more clippers and butters in my runs, and i also tried to keep a nice variety in 'em ( flip clip set ducking clip midstring !), so i was quite happy!

If i get a good grip on these BOPs, i will be able to play some guiltless
in a few months ;
btw to me a butterfly isnt a bail of any sort - my bails, if you wanna
call em that would be plo and ducking mirage

Ahh, i almost forgot , at the train i hit legover>mir>clip>gyro mirage> legover>pick up> :P

That run was awesome indeed! (17 contacts with butter>pdx mirage bsos, plo and ducking mirage) Go Daryl. The integration of Butterflys into your runs brought your game (both visually and technically!!!) to an whole new level! At least to me since I know how your game looks like and those BOP's just add so much more variety to it. I'm a total fan of equal toe and clipper play!
Yesterday evening long after we were finished, I thought to myself Dary just picked to very first spot to play when we came out of the subway :D But it turned out to be really cool to play there! And we got some kids interested too. One of them even did some Toe stalls after we showed him how to do it. Both sides of course ;) Too bad that we hadn't flyers with us :? or bags for sale. Next time!
The shred was also really good even though I just warmed up for like 5 minutes (every concept :)). I had one or two decent runs. And out of nowhere I did 5 Ducking clippers :) and I almost broke my Ripwalk record of six, but I dropped the seventh one...

Wow, props Daryl! But gyro mirage to far legover = ??? Did you forgot a clipper from there?

Bjoern, I sent a postcard to you already (in the Great Modified Postcard Exchange) but the letter box won't be emptied until on Monday and after that I don't know how long it'll take to get to München (I hate the word Munich). Please let me know when it arrives.

btw, I'm coming to Germany for three weeks in the beginning of July, to a Mid-German town Goslar. I wonder if there are any shredders but if there ain't any, I'll try to make a scene there. :D

 good spot, Lauri ! i was so stoked that i hit gyro mirage midstring,
thats probably where the"far" came from- it was a legover, of course :P !

The funny thing was, when i left for work, waiting for the train, i hit
flip gyro mirage in jeans and i wondered, if i made some sort
of mistake in my last post and i even considered going back to fix it.
lol again !

Today i focused on spinning and ducking and i hit tons of butters,
both spinning clippers, both gyro mirages both clipset ducking
clippers mid combo, flip butter>gyro mirage and inspinning clipper
:D

My legs really hurt from playing at least an hour everyday since
the last week, it would wise not to play next week too much i need
all my faculties intact for the GFO !!!

Thanks everybody!

I've got a Mitfahrgelegenheit to Berlin on Friday 14-15 o'clock, and
no way back yet. How much would a group ticket cost us for the
way back?

After solving noumerous math problems i just had to go out there and do it .

Usually, when i shred that late, i try and tell my self to go easy,
and my plans mostly include non sweaty, harmless, dexless stuff.

Than i forget about all that, and ten minutes later, i look like a
drummer in a hardcore band.

I hit xbd rake>butter on both sides and plo>x bdy rake, then i heard
the train comming...

The second part of the session was at the underground station near
the local mall, OEZ - well lit, lots of space, occasional spectators-
this place is perfect for late nite action!
( guess where i'll be in the winter...)

I warmed up again, doing quite simple moves, but in combinations,
that cover as many weaknesses as possible, or some of the tiltless
stuff i barely use, like :
mirage>ss clip> ss legover rpt> run or ss clip>ss clip>osis

My flip pixie is pissing me off lately, plus i still have to get used to
the G6's toes, so i drilled flip plo midrun ; a thing i actually never
did before- i either worked on single flip pixie moves, tried to start
runs with them or i used them in pixie>pixie combos.

Tonite it worked well, and thus i went for plo>tap .

Between these many attempts i worked on butters, osii and
ducking from clip and i hit butter>ducking clipper bs again

It was way easier to get plo>tap on my flipside, which surprized me,
since my strong pixie is on the right side, while my atomic is fairly
equal, but slightly better on the left .

"Goodside" took ages to hit, and my only sucsessful strong side attempt
was literally in the last moment possible, before the bus i waited for,
came to halt.
Sweating my ass off, i pondered on whether the last one was legit ;
i hit it, very clean and surprisingly effortless, the dexes where
tight and the delay natural, but when i busted out to go on -
in a high of relief and confidence- i flicked it off .

I was furious and couldnt wait to get of the bus to hit it one more
time, with out any doubts or complaints .

i didnt . i'd like to say i did, but i couldnt pull it off again-
my strenght failled me and i didnt wanted to wake up the
neighbors.

Of course i decided to do other stupid stuff, one thing worked,
another i came darn close to, and i almost went insane trying to hit
one godamm flip clip set diving clipper.

I couldnt do that either, but instead of grtting mad, i paused and realized that i never ever tried any diving mvs on my right side, not even from toe.
( from toe i usually dive from the left side, which is normally my flip,
and i duck better from the right )
I hit diving clipper many times with ease and mostly clean dives,
diving mirage proved to be more difficult, but i hit at least 5 decent ones.
I'll do more of these and flip clip set diving clipper shall be mine soon :)

Zusammenfassung :

xbd rake>butterfly bs

plo>xbd rake>butter

butterfly>ducking clipper bs

plo>tap (bs):?

"flip" diving mirage

"flip" diving clipper

zulu clipper
from clipper 8O- great, great feeling- shit was clean too !

props on plo>tap and the ducking/diving stuff!

concerning berlin: what about Bea, Mike and Philip? Are you all
coming? I hope so!!

First half of the footjam video is near completion. Still soo much
footage to go through though. 8)

I want to shred so badly. I'll see how my knee's doing at the weekend.
