Yeah go ahead and use it Henry, I only make videos for the entertainment of the people. Sam butt out! Haha, j/k, it was your jam and you filmed half of that so I suppose you have the real right to say yes or not.

Okay, well the following is a short recount of my recent session with Damon Mathews.

Nice session, good stress reliever from work and it's hectic ass shit lately. I managed to hit:

Blurry Whirl > Bigwalk :o
Pheonix > blurry whirl > spinning whirl > spinning hand catch
Spinning butterfly > gyro whirl bs in the middle of runs
Bigwalk and blurry drifter in the same run
Fog almost to pheonix again
Nuclear inspinning osis off of foot again
spinning clip > spinning butterfly > rpt x3
Flip atomic is geting alot better

hey man. i normally just like, skim modified and shit and dont read many people blogs but i thought id group all my props for your hard video work in this. i really liked the shapeshifter one + the FR2. good gauntlet attempt but ill spit some advice. when you did it it was like, for props on an attempt it looked. commit to it. know you can hit it. when i go for montage and shit like that im just like "oh what the hell if it looks close im good" ya know? and thats why ive never hit it. the first time i took gangsta party and gauntlet seriously, i hit it. step it, duck it, and then really commit to the twist. dont throw your ankle down, really osis that shit. play solidly all throughtout the trick. thats my two cents.

on other stuff, surging is phat. keep it clean, throw it often. and get it on both sides if you can. i like your shuffle a lot, its really controlled and stuff. it seems like out of a lot of your 5's you osis or something, so maybe try harder links out. blurry whirl>drifter isnt very hard, but it hink it looks way better then osis. use pdx. dlo too. eggbeaters, shit like that. whatever.

im going to start reading this with a bit more dedication so i have like, more intelligent things to say. but for now, props on your videos, game, and style.

peace.

Thanks for the comments man. I posted the guantlet attempt in the video because it was the only video of me that was actually caught on tape during the entire time up at Sams and it was the closest I ever have gotten to hitting it. I tried to post a little of everyone but mostly got footage of Lon and Loren because I wasn't taping at all that day, just playing. That's why you see only a bit of Mirken, Pinkus, and Chad...

I do appreciate the post David, and I really look forward to some video of you soon from all the amazing stuff I have read.

i hope whenever im filmed im on and can show some stuff, but who knows, i fluctuate. i thought i had a cam situation but that got messed up with my computer. i read the first 2 pages of your blog and saw this: I used a stretch that Noah Jay Bonn taught me to stretch your ankle and flatten you foot and it worked. explain that if you can?

Alright, first post in some time due to low motivation. Last week of work was intense PT and a physical fitness test that I did well on but not well enough. I really wanted to get a 18:50 3-Mile run time to get my PFT score to 285. Unfortunately, I ran an 18:50 and got a 284! Three damn weeks of training and I didn't hit my goal :x , oh well things are starting to look up for the next few weeks.

Come the fourth of July weekend, I'll be traveling to Anchorage, Alaska to see my dad and siblings. It sounds like we're going to do alot and I really can't wait, I haven't been up there since 2001. I emailed Melissa, the kicker who lives up there and out of some misfortune she won't be available to kick with when I get up there, I guess I'll just have to find someone else >_<.

Anyway, as far as footbag goes nothing has been hit much since my last session. I only played once in the last week and a half too! Why? Because my body can't take the stress of what I have been doing to it through the Corps and playing footbag at the same time. Every kicker out there is so lucky to be able to play without physical restraint, it sucks!
Okay, well I kicked with the SD crew, Damon, Jay, Rich, on Saturday and really didn't hit much. What I did hit will be compiled into a new video of just me so I can release some footage for the public. I feel like crap combining good strings from different sessions to form one video since I have always put it out 1:1 before. I just have been so unlucky as far as footbag goes and my camcorder doing unexpected things at the best times. Hopefully the final take will be a good one though.

Today I think I am healed enough to kick a session out so I will call Damon and see if he is ready for one. If not, I'll go solo, muhuaha. I really want to hit some phat things for the camera and be able to issue forth a long awaited video of me. Oh yeah, I already have another almost complete of the SD crew too, the song is badass......

Lata for now,

Responding to your unanswered question David, yes, I have tried Laver's. I started kicking with them and went through three or four pairs before moving on to New Balance CT 300's then on to my second pair of CT 520's. The reason why I don't kick in them is because they don't provide the support I need and really don't have much to them as far as cushioning goes.

Okay ladies and gentleman, I have just finished my new movie that I hopefully will be able to get out to you all by tomarrow. It is all, 100% me, and I titled it, "Maraxus - Intuition". I'm going to attempt to keep similiar names for all my solo vids so the people will know before hand who made it and what is in it. I believe it's much simpler that way, and I love thinking of new names before I release the videos themselves :P . I won't give out any spoilers but its mostly highlights, drills, and combos off of my last three sessions that were actually caught on tape. In addition to this, I would like to hear what people liked and didn't like in it and how I could improve for the next set of videos to be released. Please, if you are reading this and are anticipating this video, comment when I post it, I want to know what you think even if you just right, "That Really Sucked". Atleast I have an idea!

Okay besides releasing this video tomarrow, guess what else tomarrow marks? My Birthday, yay for me. I'm turning twenty and I am pretty sure I will be spending it miserably here at work in the intense heat then going to my room to clean for a few hours. Awesome  . Hopefully my room mate will be chill enough to understand and let me go kick it with Damon ASAP and spend some time out in town enjoying my twentieth BDay.

Well I'm pretty tired right now so I'm going to rack out and watch my creation one last time before I sleep. I'm pretty sure I made exactly what I was thinking of in my head before I actually made it.

Damon made me practice torques today, it looks like that is my next adventure in my quest that is footbag. I managed to hit almost everything I wanted, toe torque bsos, clipper set ss bsos, mobius bsos, paradox bsos, fairy ss torque strongside, marius strong side. And oh yeah, I hit them all in basketball shorts, sick? Yeah.

I really liked your new vid. I'm glad that I've seen some current footage of you. You're really good. I like how do you mix some fast shuffle with some spins, ducks. And I really like all the moves with butterfly or whirl after spin or duck. Your spins are really clean, same as your dexes, you don't cut them.

And about editing. I don't know if it was what you wanted to sow, but for me it looked like the whole shred in the movie is what you saw and what you were thinking about after you put on headphones, started listening to musci, and whiel holding bag in your hand. Like the whole shred were in your mind.
And the other thing i really like about your movies is that there is always numerousness of different angles in them! It always make the vid more interesting ... same as different spots - yeah multutude spots is what makes vids from few different sessions better, in some sense, than one session vids.

And huge props on all this torque-session stuff. It looks like you have greate torques.

Keep shredin'

Later,

Thanks Ptaku, I really am looking forward to seeing you in a video soon. Make sure you PM me once you are about to get one out so I can keep an eye out :D .

This weekend went well. Sam and Chris Pinkus from LA came down and we had two sessions and filmed some freestyle reality. It all was alot more fun when it took place then what I actually thought was going to happen. Looking back on what we filmed was hilarious and Sam really does well while capturing a movie, he's a genious!

Shred was cool, I will put out Another video of all of us soon. Everyone busted some cool shit but not all of it was on tape. Oh well, it should make for quite the video. My next video of the SD crew will be released shortly so stay tuned once again and thanks for the comments on my last vid, hopefully my next solo one will incorporate all the torque stuff.

Cool vid Maraxus, I really liked Pixie Ducking Osis > Blurry Whirl, Ripwalk > Symp. Whirl (rpt), that Stepping Osis drill and run with Spinning Pdx Whirl BS and Tomahawk :D You have a nice style, your tricks look effortless! So close to four 5's :) I think that you could encorporate more DLO's and Drifters into your game, maybe Eggbeaters?

I liked the editing too, I can see the work that you put in it - videos with a concept are the best :D Keep making them, I'm shure lots of people gets inspiration for shred from them (like me :) )
