here's your fist problem, you're running windows. just playing.

itunes puts every thing in the "library". in the top right hand corner of the itunes main page is a search button. when you are in the library start typing in the name of the band. ever song that has "band x" in the artist box (or even in the album, or song boxes if it's mislabeled) will be pulled up, so you really don't need folders, you just search a band/ song/ album/ letter and it will pull it up for you. if you are THAT set on having them all in folders, create a "playlist", search your band, when it pulls all the songs up drag and drop them into your newly created playlist folder in the left side of your itunes screen. tada, it's in a folder. if you can't find any songs, they are mislabeled. a tip is to make sure you always have the band name spelled the same way because it's case sensitive. to get that folder into your ipod, you plug your ipod into your computer, set your ipod to manual, drag and drop that folder on your ipod icon in itunes, and tada that playlist is in your ipod.

http://www.apple.com for everything mac.

http://www.peachpit.com/articles/articl ... 32&redir=1 for when your ipod eventually gets confused. every one i know who runs an ipod off windows gets their ipod all screwed up every now and again, but those running them off macs don't seem to have problems. they don't seem to have worked out all the bugs in the windows softwear yet .i've had mine for about 4 months now and haven't had a single glitch, where as a friend of mine who had his for less then 1, but runs windows, had to send it back they got so fucked up, and he said the new one froze last week too... maybe i'm just lucky.

Try going to ipodlounge.com ... you will learn a lot there. They have been very helpful to me in the past and they have great reviews on accessories. The forum has links to progs and stuff too.

and then there are battery problems...sometimes i charge mine for like 8 hours and it works for about 2 minutes. they give out 50 dollar vouchers if your battery is messed up, but a new battery costs 90.

The shuffle is the only way to go. I use it everyday all the time and 2 hours of charging at night keeps it playing all the next day. I have never had it screw up or run out of charge and it has like 260 songs on it. Best thing I ever bought in my whole life...except for those silk boxers...
