Dear editors and organizers,
I made an animation file that you can superimpose over shred:30 videos. It has an alpha channel "built in" so all you have to do is drop it on the track above a clip. The animation clip is 40" total, including 5" before the countdown and 5" after the countdown. Make sure you match up the first frame of the "GO" with the first frame of the shred (when his time should start- first add/contact). It's really quick & easy to do if you know how to edit properly; if you still 'drag-n-drop' your clips to the timeline, then it may take a bit more time/work.
The clip is 84 MB and can be found at http://www.flipsider.com/media/share/
* ONLY DOWNLOAD THIS IF YOU WILL ACTUALLY USE IT. DO NOT WASTE MY BANDWIDTH JUST TO SEE IT (please). If you want to see what it looks like applied to a video, there is another file in that directory called 'test_shred30demo.mov' file, which is only 2.7 MB, and anyone is welcome to download it.
This animation is of course free without limitation, but I ask that anyone making a whole bunch of Shred:30 clips (such as for an event results page), please give credit somewhere on the page: "Thanks to Flipsider.com (w/ hyperlink) for the video counter," or something like that.
Go nuts!
Regards,
Ellis
p.s. I will not offer support to novice editors, sorry. Read a book or consult others for help.
