atomic/tapping sets give me bad hip pains now an then. i dont know if its that i throw it out now an then, or stress from doing the motion. i been cuting back on the amount i drill my atomic sets but i really want to know if this happeneds to other people, or is maybe im doing something incorrectly.
any help guys?

You're probably right Zach about the motions involved. Atomics, when done hip style, are all done from the hips. If your technique you're using now hurts or makes your hips sore, you might want to take a break from doing atomics. I'm not saying to give up on them and completely stop doing them. What you need to do is actually think about the set a bit and how you're doing it. I feel that when learning something, visualization is key. Visualize what could be done better, more efficient, and hopefully the newer technique will be less stressful on your hips, and easier to do. Hope that helps.
