German Footbag Open 2005 videos

Hey folks,

so after some rapid editing and suffering from dead batteries, we have uploaded a wee bit of routines from GFO05 to www.footbag.org.

Everything here has been more than superb and ppl present have witnessed the biggest footbag event in the history of our little sport - ca 2400 paying spectators who gathered to the Yaam Arena just see the Great Finals Show. A BIG round of applause, pls!

Brief overview of the freestyle open results:
1. Felix Zenger
2. Honza Weber
3. Jan Struz
4. Karim Daouk
5. Stefan Siegert
There were 9 persons in the final, amongst them Lasse Salmenhaara, Matthias Schmidt, and Jaz Zimmerman.. can't remember the last one, sry.

I am missing Honza's routine, because the battery of my camera got empty just before I was able to capture his part

It will come at one point though

AND the connection at the i-cafe just started bitching around with me, so now I can't upload Karim's and Stefan's routines

Shred30 is being held today, maybe as I speak, so let's see what comes out of that

I am sure there will be plenty of more footage online in the near future, but this is something that we have tried to deliver ASAP.

hey cool vids! but the felix one didnt go all the way, and was that the start with whirr? i dunno my computer might have been wrong. But thanks for the vid! felix is crazy......

Sweet!! Props to Felix for coming first too! I bet it was close between him and Honza! Footbag makes for a pretty interesting competition when Vasek isn't competing

Yayuh, the first half is expletively amazing, but about halfway through the audio cuts out and then the video just ends.

I got to see only 3/4 of Felix' routine too, but these certainly are world class routines!

Dexter really knows how to bring a routine.
Felix' had an amazing difficulty.
Both had a low drop count.

Keep 'em coming! How did home team Germany perform?

And, yeah, the Felix routine doesn't play all the way through for me either.

Yeah, GFO 05 where really great!!!
Nice weather, nice location, and a nice host.

Would like to ask here, if someone got a video of the Felix and Honza shred which ive seen after the finals. Would like to see this again.

as said before, we had a spot running on tvs on every subway, 80 (!) times a day, 4 days in a row this is it...

i just uploaded felix' complete ROUTINE from beginning to end right now... turn the volume up to 2500 voices goin nuts on footbag!!!

huge props to felix for this routine and every other competitor!!!

and now i hate my boss even more,for not giving me a few days of so i couldn´t go to gfo this year!i obviously missed out a lot!

Hey guys,

It's cool to see people have so much interest in quickly uploaded videos and if everything goes swell, we'll have something similar working or Worlds 2005.

Anyhow, sorry for the thing with Felix's routine and that I still don't have Honza's done.

I reloaded the vids to footbag.org so you'll get to see more of what was going on. I've got more interesting footage, but it will take time to edit it all.
