Letters to/fro Sweden took two weeks to receive, and from Australia, hell I don't know how long :? .

Lon, if you do not want a letter that is fine but I just want you to know that you are one of the two that I am sending a letter too. I just wanted to wait until ShrEdmonton came so I can do something extra nice for the both of you, that's all :( .

I got my first postcard today from Finland!!!
Thanks Lauri!! The card is beautiful! I love how there's grass on the roof of that picnic area place. When you said 500m from your home I first thoght 500 meters -- is that right? Or miles? I don't know...I pictured it being really close to your place. That would be rad. What a great place!!!
I kind of knew you were writing to me, thhough, 'cause you posted the names of your people somewhere :p Hehe, awesome all the same, though!!!
This is so fun. I hope I get more!
Should we post when we get ours? I'd love to know when someone gets mine and what they thought! Lauri wrote quite a bit and it was really fun :)

huzzah! Timely arrival! Today I recieved my first of the new postcards (I presume) and my third overall from Jean-Philippe Labbé aka Skankin from Quebec Canada. Actually he didn't put his actual name on it - so I had to search for Skankin on the forum to find out who he was :P

Funny card - it's of mounties. I heard all Canadians are either mounties or lumberjacks. I guess Skankin is a mountie ;)

Yes, 500 meters. I'm so used to the metric system that I didn't even think that it could be thought as miles.:D But yeah, it's close (I was swimming there today, the cliffs and the "Tarzan rope" are in the other side of the bridge where that pic is taken from).
Erik Chan wrote:Lauri wrote quite a bit and it was really fun :)
I can't remember anything I wrote there, but I remember that I tried to write there more than usual because I heard that you write a lot too.

...which leads me to the other thing: I got two postcards too (I don't remember was it Monday or already Friday...), thanks a lot Erik and Jeremy! I already wrote about it in my blog but forgot to mention here.
The prairies and Cradle Mountain were beautiful. (The postcards were - I wouldn't say "huge" but - very big :D).
One thing Erik - you've probably mixed up the persons. I haven't hit Maelstrom, talking about hitting it at the age of 13. It's Lauri Airinen. We are namesakes (my last name is Jaakkola) and there's been a lot of confusions before so don't worry. Actually it's great to get all the props that would belong to someone else :P .
I've played with Lauri Airinen (also with Aleksi, his older brother and bunch of other shredders) when I and they were visiting Anssi in Turku. Hopefully you can compare the two of us at Worlds if you're coming, he's the better one. ;)

Also Jeremy: I'm not sure if you knew either "my secret identity". It made me wonder when you wrote something like: "wow, it's great to write to the future world champion". Thanks for the kind words anyways. (Though who knows - maybe after long time in some galaxy far, far away I'll be the champion, but not in a couple of years!:D).
That line by the way was the opening line in the Jeremy's postcard. My big sister read that bit of there and thought you (both) were my fans or something! I didn't bother to correct her though 8) (she's not that interested in footbag that she'd understand that you are light years ahead of me).

Thanks once again.
So far I've sent out four cards and at least two of them are at their destinations (Erik and also Bjoern told me that he got it). From the other two the other went to Asia and the other's address was a box address instead of home address.
I've got two back, Erik's and Jeremy's.

During the next exchange I'll be in a Mid-German town Goslar, I hope I can send some cards from there too! (but don't send me any).

Wow you got Erik AND Jeremy? That's quite a catch. So far I received a card from Jeremy that simply said something like "Dave, haven't seen you online lately. Jeremy" BUT it had an awesome picture of a tiger on the front, and I love tigers. Simple but effective!

Of course you'll be world champion one day. 13 year old kids that can hit ripstien are des... hmm...

Actually I'm just kidding - I think you can definitly be world champ - all you need is a postive attitude and some dedication. You're from Finland so you're already probably better than the majority of players around the world ;)

Oh yeah - and I'm a big fan! :D

Thanks Erik! I got your card yesterday and it put a huge smile on my face. Hey guys, Erik is almost as much of a music dork as me! Haha, by the way Erik, yeah, I play trombone, and I was in marching band for 3 years. It wasn't really my thing, but the sociability was cool. There's lots of marching band stuff on the internet if you're ever interested. I don't have your card with me now so I don't know exactly what it said, but thanks!

Thanks for the postcard Jeremy! What a nice surprise. Since we're posting who we've gotten cards from, here are some other people who have sent me postcards over the last few months: Full Nelson, Bijan, Delakong, Nur. If I didn't list you, it's because I've misplaced your postcard in my room. :-)

I got my postcard from Beatrice - thank you! So now I have gotten 3 for my 4 sent, which isn't bad at all I don't think! I think I will not get the other one from the first exchange, but that's okay. I'm ready for the next one, when is it!?

I got another from David Wilder today :D
That means I've only not got 1, which is pretty good! Bad karma for those who don't send

Thanks David -- I was totally surprised, since I had already got two -- it was a nice surprise! Tips for illusions...I would say make sure your foot doesn't raise too high off the ground, so you don't the. As for kicking your own knee...gee. I can see how that would happen, but I way too careful to do that. I SCRAPE my knee sometimes, but never kick. Hmm. Try doing the dex more hippy, so you don't have to throw your foot so high up, y'know? That would help to keep the dex clean, too!

Anyway, I'm going to be in Quebec City, like I said, for the next exchange, but Emily already told me who I will be sending to this next time, so I could send from there. I already got my postcards and they're already posted, all ready to send (minus writing...) so I'm going to send mine out in time for the next one, but my address will be in Quebec, so I can get mail still :D

My Quebec Address for July will be:

EDIT: Trip to Quebec cancelled due to health, disregard "Quebec address".

Because I forgot to include it in the PMs to new people: Please don't post about who you are sending to. People really seem to like it more when it's a surprise.

Then when you receive a postcard, please post that you got one and who it was from.
