Windows XP.
-Replaced explorer.exe with Litestep for my shell (theme name is NonStep), and Directory Opus for my filemanager.
-Calender and To-Do list "widgets" are from Rainlender
-Note widget is from Konfabulator.

The Litestep website won't load, in any of my browsers. I think I need it to run the .lsz file....

Ubuntu looks awesome :) I've heard great things about it, but it'll take a lot to get me away from os x (expose is neat, but spotlight rules):

Omg, I just saw Allan Haggett's desktop. He's one of my biggest footbag heroes. NO screw that, heroes in general! Jeremy and I were talking about how cool the intimacy of this sport is. I mean, I'm sure basketball fans have never seen Michael Jordan's desktop! That is so cool Allan. Thanks for sharing.

Wow I think I sounded like a sarcastic asshole when I wrote that but I was being serious. Oh well.

In other news, my desktop at work is just a picture of Natalie Portman. I have a bunch of wallpapers that I use at home that alternate whenever I want them to.

I wish I understood Macs better - I think I'm going to be getting one soon.

Shit, looks like litestep.net is down. Pity, they had nice resources on there.

Try http://beyondconvention.net/ohussain/lsinstaller/

It sure does. If I ever get around to updating my linux box, I'll definitely will try Ubuntu. The guys over there really seems to be right on the ball. Their free CD shipping service is a really cool feature (having billionaire Mark Shuttelworth behind them certainly must make things easier).

Allan do you have like a 30 inch monitor or something? I just imagine that it would be very hard to see much with all those windows open. Maybe you have uber micro eyes?

Im pretty sure that usually his desktop doesn't look like that. I think Mac's have a feature that if you push F9 (I think thats the right key) all the windows will show up at once so you can see what you have open.

yep, I'm the lead DNA sequence expert for the national labs in berkeley. I assemble the portions of the genome too gnarly for computer algorithms to handle. I do a fair amount of BLASTing.
