Flipsider.com/KNOW
Hey Modifieders, I want to know what topics YOU think should be added to the Know section at Flipsider. I have many new articles sitting on my computer since several months, waiting to be launched w/ v5, but there's always room for more knowledge. I'm not asking anyone to write any topics or do any work for me, since no one ever does. I just want some suggestions on what to write about.
Also, if there are any articles already there that you think should be spruced up, feel free to make a suggestion. I am going to rewrite the footbag buyer's guide soon, so leave that one off your list.
EDIT: Oh, and let me know if there's anything that should be added to the 'Lingo' (Shred-English Dictionary) or Concept List. I know you guys are always coming up with new sets and new names for old sets, so please let me know what should be added/adjusted. I can't keep up.
Thanks,

And weaving is ducking same side, I suppose.
edit: By the way, I got my footfighter bag exactly one week after ordering it and it's amazing how little break-in it needs. Damn near shreddable right out of the envelope! thanks Eli

Yeah, footfighter's rock!
Hey Eli, I suggest you PM everyone who keeps updated lists of things like videos, move nicknames, sets, etc. on modified and ask if you can include their list on Flipsider. I think that would be a great addition to the site.
Also, perhaps include more modification stuff, like the brocka mod, clipper rails, the tubing mod, etc.

good call !bigdirtyfoot wrote: Also, perhaps include more modification stuff, like the brocka mod, clipper rails, the tubing mod, etc.
I was thinking about something similar : a collection of "getting
starded " videos, that deal with equippment mostly, issues like
shoe modding and lacing, filler change, even simple stuff
like break in tips and washing a bag correctly !
Now that stuff seems self explanatory and all, but since i'm not
playing footbag myself for too long, the memories of all the crazy
noob questios/problems i had, are still quite fresh .
As for lingo, i'd like to see some foursquare terms - i know its mostly
a freestyle site, but what freestyler doesnt like playing it ?
And i was very surprized, during my first game of foursquare at todexon 6
when people shouted "low, low !", while i frolicked, what a sneaky
bastard i can be
Personally, i want to learn more about freestyle history - i love to
read the story of the first 4 dex move, and all the other moments,
when somebody or somebodys invention changed the game !
I am very exited to see the new flipsider site and i know it be worth
the wait, same for the footjam 05 documentary !
thanks for everything .

Footbag maintenance (self-explanatory)
How footbag can change your life OR what footbag can do for you OR why footbag?. (gets you to exercise, gives confidence, great way to break-the-ice and meet new and interesting people, makes you sound cool by knowing new lingo etc.)
Troubleshooting (how to approach a move that you’re having trouble hitting and also HOW TO practice instead of just arbitrarily and mindlessly trying to kick a bag)
more games (bullet, hot potatoe etc)
I’ll try to think of others later. gtg

In the footbag "know" section on Flipsider it would be nice to see names, pictures, and short, short bios of some of the shredders at the forefront of freestyle back in the late 80s and early-mid 90s, you know, the forgotten ones that half of the newbiews on thie forum haven't ever heard of? Anyway, thats what I think should be there. Pay homage to those who came before you sort of deal. Honestly, I dont know whether this exists on your site right now Eli, so if it does, forgive me.

There are always a lot of talking about BAP.
Questions, Thougts and stuff.
It could be cool if you made a list of the members, the story behind.
And answers to some of the normal questions:
How do you get in?
Who choose who gets in?
And stuff like that.

Like Daryl said; storys about the histroy of Footbag would be great. Maybe you can interview people who are in the sport for a long time. And a linklist that actually tells you what to find on that other sites is a good thing too. Anyway can't wait for the new siteNuR wrote:Personally, i want to learn more about freestyle history - i love to

I'm sure the information sections will be split up, and you will be able to choose which you want to read and when.
Anyways I'm glad you revived this thread, I kept forgetting to say that I wanted correct pronounciation of things like "the" and people's names and whether it's osii or osisis or whatever. Little picky things that don't matter basically, is stuff that I'd love to see.

There are a lot of newcomers to the world of footbag who would like to start a footbag club but don’t really know what to do AFTER they made one. In most cases, the kids trying to make footbag clubs in their schools succeed but then they fade away due to losing club members by not keeping them encouraged or interested. I would like to see a power point presentation that these newcomers could desperately use to add credibility to their school club. The power point should have background information on the sport as well as detailed information on footbag maintenance, shirt designs that they could use, practicing, exercising, etiquette, games etc. as well as a links to footbag sites online (like flipsider’s practice room ) and goals that they could try to accomplish such as details on having fundraisers or public events. Basically I want this power point to be the ultimate resource guide that everyone can use. I started one but I got discouraged since nobody seemed to give a crap. I could send what I have to anyone who wants it.
