Advertising Footbag.
Recently I heard a very disturbing story about an idea someone had about footbag. I just want to know what you guys think about this idea because it seemed to me quite outrageous.
Apparently, a person wrote to "footbag.com" and asked them how much they would give him for permanently tattooing "footbag.com" on his arm for advertisement. They are willing to give him 'hundreds of dollars' in merchandise just to have this on his arm.
This person does play footbag sometimes however I do not think they are on modified. (not implying this is an elite site)
Is that an admirable thing to do? Does that help footbag at all?
Im game for the idea of footbag tattoos because we all know how much it can mean to people but doing it to be the guy who has the footbag.com tattoo on his arm?
I hope Im not sounding too harsh. I am just not sure this was what footbag was about.
If Im being ignorant in anyway please leave your comments and thoughts.

If this is really serious, then IMHO, it's sick - and not in a good way.
Give me a frigging break!
I could write pages of stuff about footbag.com, but I don't like to
waste my time writing negative things, and I don't have much
that's positive to say about them.
Just keep in mind that, for example, their 122 panels are purchased
from (most likely) Pakistan at LESS THAN $2.25/BAG, when purchased in
bulk (I've gotten plenty of spam from these guys). You can buy one of
the (slave labor??) 122's off footbag.com for a mere $23 w/shipping.
Do the math for yourself, and see what kind of value that poor person is
going to get out of their "100's of dollars of product sponsorship".
I also agree that tattooing http://www.footbag.org on your person would be a....
Well, I wouldn't do it myself, but I'd do it 10,000,000 times before I'd put
up footbg.com, or even freedomfootbgs.com.
Peace.

A few months ago a guy auctioned off the right to change his first name to anything you wanted on e-bay. He had to sign the full name for any legal documents and always introduce himself by the full name. I didn't really pay attention to it, but it had national news coverage. I don't know what the named him, but I'm sure it was either an advertisment or an incredibly horrendous name. I think that tattooing footbag.com on your arm would be really stupid, but much less so than selling one's first name. I doubt very much that it would reflect negativly on footbag, people already think the majority of "hackysack" players are potheads anyway, so they'll probably just figure he was high when he got it.
Today is what you make it. So, like, don't screw up the recipe. ^^
How about I love bush!

EDIT:
to keep from being completely off topic... If I would ever consider ever getting a tatto on my body, it would be the CIC logo on my left shoulder. I'd redesign it to have a bit more flair to it though.
Back to topic. Footbag.com aside, having a website for a tattoo sounds like a dumb idea to begin with. I can't even begin to comprehend the state of mind this person was in if he really did think that was a good idea.

That was Charles Copus. A senior who graduated this year. Some guy bid 10,000 dollars as a "joke" so he didnt pay him, but he got like, 200 dollars for his trouble. The deal didnt go through.

Yeah, I`d rather tattoo footbag.org on my arm than freedomfootbgs.com too... mostly because freedomfootbgs.com isn`t a working URL...Genzu wrote:I also agree that tattooing http://www.footbag.org on your person would be a....

One good character which represents "power" is The Incredible Hulk. I think he`d make a great tattoo.B_Man wrote:On the subject of tattoos, I was thinking of getting something regarding footbag tattooed on my calves. I'm not sure what precisely at this moment, a few considerations were characters which represented "Power" and "Equality".

I think that if you are going with the Hulk on one calf for "power" then you should definately use Aunt Jemima on the other calf for "equality".
I'd stand clear of THOSE blades!

to get back on topic:
Then again, he can always add a "sucks" to his tatoo at a later date.
At the price they're selling them, they could just give the guy a half dozen 122 panel bags... I'd be pissed though...They are willing to give him 'hundreds of dollars' in merchandise just to have this on his arm.
