Tight vs. Loose, and Heavy vs. Light

hey people, (this is my first post here) and i have been playing footbag off and on for about 9 months. Any ways i was wonderin since i have never played with a nice 32 panel(,just my sandman) how does the different types of stitching affect your play.(tight and loose).............

And are different bag weights ment for certain style or is that all preference?

oh shiz, can't answer your questions but I noticed you were from Tulsa and I think you should PM Luis Monhollan (sp?) on this forum because he's a great freestyler and he lives in OK, and in Tulsa maybe?! I think he styles alone.

i think weight is more preference, while stitching styles are usually pretty consistant with how a bag plays. obviously no one really wants their bag to be too loosely stitched when they first acquire it...its better to be tight first and to break in nicely. but yeah...i prefer my bags on the heavier side.

I only prefer lighter bags if I'm going for back and forth blury combo's like blurriests and blury whirls because you can switch the direction of the bag's momentum more quickly without it rolling off your foot.

Good for kicking too.

i´m prefering heavy bags...but i cant say why...light bags are just too light for me

...guess i think i have more control with a heavy bag,but that might be bulls***...i just only shred heavy bags...

and for the stiching its the middle way that is best,i guess,cause to tight stiched makes bags to bulky and rolly and too loose makes it so flappy(sp?)...so i guess it is every shreders own preference...but i want heavy not so tight and not so loose stiched bags...

I also like heavy bags too.
All the light bags I own suck IMO, though I've played with light bags that are good too.

but if im shredding inside and i cant be bothered going hard, i would use a light sandbag

lol i was the only person to vote for light, the question needs to be more specific. Well, my lonn is heavier than my mini, but i just luv the weight of the mini compared to the lonn. Lonn is still really sweet to kick with as well, but the abshire allows me to have more control over it, with less roll. (maybe im just shit, but hey).
So i probably wouldve voted for heavy then, considering the mini's weight...

I saw the title to this thread and was sure that with 7 posts, Hacksterbator or C-Fan would have posted some completly ridiculous post that would by now be in the hall of fame / shame...

hey, thank you guys for giving me your opinions on this topic. I think i'm goin to start gettin heavier and tighter bags since this really influenced how i think of weight and stitching.
