Post the coordinates to important places here and we can all look at them

I live approximatly at

42 54' 12.0" S 147 19' 0.0" E (just west of the highway and west of Sandybay)

I grew up at

41 11' 21.0" S 146 14' 52.0" E

I've spent the last 3 hours visiting random places on earth.

This is soo awesome.

Here is where the German Footbag Open 2005 took place:

52 29' 50.40" N 13 27' 14.55" E

You see the outdoor event site right at the River Spree, and next
to it, in the big building, there's the "Arena", where all the finals
and the after-finals show took place.

This thing is ridiculous. Jeremy found my house and accurately described the area around it, and now I am showing him where I work at. I'll probably check it out when I get home.

See that in the lower left corner. That's the Breckenridge Brewery, where we had the CSS5 Player's Party. Between that and the building behind it is where we all kicked.

There was something similar to this on bored.com. I think it was called Terraserver. I spent so much time looking for my past and current houses, friends' houses, and other favorite places. It's pretty fun and gives you something to do when you need it.

That program was alot of fun to play around with.

It wouldn't let me get a very clear shot of my house.

I like that you can tilt it too, then when you turn the buildings on 3D mode you can see how they all interact. It's cool.

How do you all get your photos so good quality? When i view my town its a big blur.

There's quite a number of squares on the map that have a different
color - those are the high resolution images. The rest of the world is
medium resolution, but they're adding high resolution images continously.

Left click on the links and open them with google earth.

there's lots more fun places at The Google Earth Message Board

You can activate every place that is posted there by simply turning
the "Keyhole Community BBS" layer on (in the lower left corner of
the screen, under layers). Pretty nifty.
