Yo Ken who needs phones when you have modified?!!
This blog can be used for frivolity deem I!
Kevin if you have anymore crazy pictures of cheese I implore you share them with the world!
You know watching that in reverse makes me think symp atomic quantum is entirely possible...but it would have to be all leggy...hmmm.....
Hey that's like warping but with the second dex in the other direction...I WANNA HIT IT!!!

Just had a successful session in my uncle's garage. Some shit went down.
I lost my pimp bag for the THIRD time in this house. This house is CURSED! The first time I left it in a bookshelf and couldn't find it, my cousin finds it. So the next week I come over and she said she found it but when I arrive they can't find it again! Turns out she had thrown it on the couch but it landed in her grandmothers purse. Her grandmother finds it a week later ('WTF IS THIS??') and I finally get it back tonight.
So i'm playing tonight and about 3/4 through my session the bag flies high and lands behind a ten foot pile of wood stacked against the wall. There's no way to get it short of removing all the fucking wood.
So there it is, the curse of the pimp bag. It's a really good bag too. When I get it back I'm never bringing to this house again.
Also a very important thing happened to me during my session. As you all know I have consistancy problems and it is quite frustrating and detrimental to my progression to footbag greatness.
So I'm always trying to remember things when I play so that I don't drop stupid shit, like WAIT FOR THE BAG.
See that's good advice but I'm to stupid to use it when I play, so tonight I found something that DOES work....FEEL THE CATCH. That's what I wasn't doing.
FEEL THE CATCH
FEEL THE CATCH
I almost hit pdx blender bsos after that.
Geesha is a hard move. I'll hit it by CP '05
Oh yeah I was trying leggy symp atomic quantum and I got a mouthful of filthy hacky sack. ewwwwww.
I've decided that set is near impossible but I'm going to keep trying.

Goodness me what a fecking night. I'm a little hung over but that's ok, it's a price I'm willing to pay to ogle hot women all night. My head feels like it's splitting in two though. I'm downtime right now and I feel like the sky is the limit because I have money, I can do whatever I like.
So yeah Nick and I pre-gamed for a bit, 3 beers each while watching shred videos and headed out at like 12, which is kinda late but the night really lasted a long time. The place we went to is St. Sulpice and it fucking rocked, I'm going to go there ALL the time now. Funnily enough I'm always saying 'crisse de st sulpice'. Random thought of the day. We attacked a gaggle of girls, there was four of them and I was like 'the odds aren't in our favor' but Nick wasn't havin' any of that so I go take a piss (fourth of the night) and when I come back he's chatting them up. It was hella fun. We got a phone number! It's written on my arm, though I don't know if I should call (but you know I'm going to) because she probably doesn't remember anything. Her name is Katie and she was very very hot. Why she'd be interested in a couple of talented witty athletes like us is beyond me. As you can tell I don't have much faith in hot women, they're generally vapid and impressed with untalent and insipidness.
Beauty breeds stupidity.
Hmm now what should I go spend my hard earned money on? Maybe a book or cd? Hmm Chapters here I come.
ALright time to git outta here
Oh yeah, I'm also good at footbag

Nick and I hit the tam-tam jam yesterday but they're doing renovations on the statue so a large area is blocked off...probably for a year...damn bastards. APparantly the statue is a health hazard cuz parts of it might fall off and crush ya, though I don't believe that.
In any case we shredded on some path up above and pricks kept wandering in front of us. Of course that girl Katie didn't show up, typical. I have lost all faith in humanity. Hahaha.
We shredded hard, impressed some girls, though they seemed more impressed with a couple of hacky slackards and bubble makers and jumping looney tunes and crackhead freespirits and all sorts of lamebrains. Oh well c'est la vie.
I was nailing my fives all over the place, getting some 20 contact strings (genuine as always)
I can't remember what Nick was hitting but I know it was good, he got a lot of props from me and it takes more work cuz I play with him all the time so he really has to push himself.
I hit blender>torque which I really like, kinda simple but I'm impressed. Also barfly>pdx drifter>pdx whirl>run (seems easy but the links are tricky and look amazing)
(barfly>osis>gyro clipper) rpt >spinning butterfly>scorpion's drop
other stuff like gyro osis>weaving clipper>zulu clipper>spinning osis>gyro clipper>spinning ducking clipper>spinning butterfly>ducking osis>spinning osis>weaving osis
blurry whirl b2b
ps whirl b2b
other five>five combos (still haven't got three fives in a row...)
spinning whirls midstring
flip smog>pixie clip>whaletail
blurriest and blurrier midstring
nice shuffles too.
Played for 3 hours yesterday and my legs have been cramping up like mad. Last night I woke up and my entire left leg was cramped, like I couldn't move it in any way to lessen the pain, and there was PAIN. I've never had that much pain before, I thought my leg was fucked for good. I eventually fell back asleep.
I'm tempted to play today even though I'm sore and cramp up...I just want to play all the time! This summer is hard training for me, the last step in sharpening my skills to epic levels, I feel it guys, I feel it. I feel control and I feel skill and it's going to be coming to a theatre near you.

You're the best! I cannot wait to get them and bust mob>scorp
I'm gonna rock those shoes. Though I don't know how to mod them, maybe the slayer sayer can for me.
Had a session today. The heat really sucks the energy outta ya. Played well, hit blurry whirl>blurriest and some decent strings. I need to play play play and git my level up to where it needs to be...
Also last sunday Billy came down for a shred at PDA which went very well. Again the heat was overpowering but the shred was good while it lasted. The last time I had played with Billy was at least a year or more back at a tam-tam and since then his form has improved immensely. I look forward to shredding with you and the rest of the Toronto crew at TOFU (if I go and if they all go).

TOFU has come and gone and it was amazing. Any gathering of footbaggers is bound to be.
Friday morning: Eli, Yax, Seb, Nick and I head out to the great beyond, with me smooshed in the middle back seat. We didn't have too much trouble getting there, but that may have been because I wasn't really paying attention to where we were going.
So a hilarious 2hr ride comes to an end as we reach the closed off streets in downtown Ottawa...wait, scratch out reach and insert ENTER. Seb turns onto one of the closed off streets and passes by the supposed security enforcers who just kinda looked at the car and kept talking. Like maybe they thought no one would be stupid enough to go in there so we must have some official business to attend to. It wasn't very clear that the way was blocked. In any case we're trying to get our way out of there and people are zigzagging in front of us and we turn down the next street and drive right through this street performers live performance with our pretty Quebec license. It was great.
That'll teach him to pander about in the street like that, I don't think he was very good either.
Also there is the matter of women in Ottawa. You see, in Montreal we're really spoiled when it comes to women because they're here by the bucket full on any day anywhere you go. The second we hit Ottawa it feels like a dog pound...or 'rough-hewn' as me and Nick are wont to say. The ladies picked up a bit as the day wore on, and I did see this one chick that was seriously the hottest woman I've seen in person, with some dumbass of course. There were some definite potentials, and they seem far more impressed with footbag than montrealers. Anyway I digress.
So we get to the shred and there aren't that many people there yet, the sun is shining. The first person I recognize is Ryan cuz he's so tall! But it's really cool to meet somebody that you know from modified. It's trippy. Then I saw the Toronto crew, it had been a while since I saw Andrew, Paul and Camille (Billy showed up after). I mostly played with Paul, he was hitting ps reverse whirls and pixie symp reverse whirls all over the place, they were hot!
I played really bad for the first two hours, like my mind was just not in it. Then some more peeps start showing up...like Kevin, it was so cool to finally see him in person, and shred with him. I was still shredding like a heel but it was fun nonetheless. Kevin has good style...and subatomic sets like nothing...props on your sick 3 man (forget the details...I know there was a smog and a pixie ss blender). Also I finally saw Johnny in person...man can he play footbag. He has presence in a circle. I don't think there's much else to say cept watch him play. Johnny would have wrecked in the Sick1 and Sick3, too bad he didn't compete
I don't know how long we shredded, but eventually it started raining and everyone fled the streets. Kevin and I played in the downpour which was fucking awesome, and there were chicks with wet white t-shirts running around everywhere hahaha.
We all meet under this funky bridge where everyone is sheltered from the rain and start shredding again...and this is when Jorden, Tom and Jared (anyone else?) show up. Tom is one cool guy, hadn't seen him since a brief shred session at worlds. He was gotten so much better. I love his whirls cuz they curl around the bag like Vaseks do. His torques are really tight and smooth. String length has improved greatly too.
I don't think there needs to be anything said about Jorden's game besides TOP NOTCH. Seriously everytime this guy get's the bag he tears shit up. SO consistant, SO huge, SO original, SO styleful.
Vids will be up eventually.
After some more shred we (montrealers) decide to go chow down somewhere. I'm shredding whenever we stop somewhere, still in mad training zone...like I just wanted to hit what I need to be hitting, I couldn't stop. We met back up later under the bridge for ANOTHER session and that one lasted for a long time (lost track of it). I played the whole time switching circles randomly. Most of it was with Andrew, Tom and Camille. Then I'd go solo for a bit and Paul Agostinelli would join me to share the burden. I was definitely playing better at this point, hitting my fives and having decent string length.
Eventually people decided to head towards the fireworks...I was walking ahead so I could shred for longer. There was this gaggle of girls that were screaming for me and I performed for them
We make it past the bridge and it's getting dark. Ryan puts on 'get yourself high' by chemical brothers and I realize I HAVE to play more footbag, so when we finally stop there I go again. It was Johnny, Tom, Camille and I. We were all tired but did our best. I was playing decent. As it get's darker people drop off and it's just me and Camille. She was trying paradon and I wanted her to hit it so bad, if she hasn't yet, she will very soon. I kept playing and playing until I started feeling a tightness in my muscles, then I try a gyro mirage and cramp up. That's it for the night! I don't know how many hours I played that day.
Now here's the fun part! We get BEER and watch fireworks!! What a fucking hilarious night that was. At one point I had a 40 in each hand and Seb and Yax told me to take em both at the same time, which I did several times (they wanted to see how many times they could make me do it haha) without spilling a drop. Shortly after I got a leg cramp and I was writhing in pain for ten minutes. It was fun. I can't even remember all the crazy things that happened, though I do remember being responsible and looking for a garbage to put the beer bottles in after security kicked us off the bridge thingy. I also remember a drunken foursquare game with glow sticks and beer bottles as borders. I also remember Nick eating his hotdog with the wrapping. Don't worry, it didn't stay in his stomach long. He was sooo wasted. Seb couldn't drive so Eli did, which was lot's of fun because Eli is a crazy driver.
We got to Mike's house in all our pieces and TABERNAC does he have a nice house. I didn't even feel like I should be standing in it because it was so immaculate. I did not leave a single mark or piece of dirt anywhere, I tried to be like a ghost. We all had beds to sleep on, though luckily I wasn't sharing mine with any of those other montrealers, they're notorious for spooning.
This was funny though, Nick and Eli are in the bed, getting ready to sleep when Nick get's up and says he has to go to the bathroom (again). So I says 'pee or puke' and he's like 'you'll see' as he stumbles past. Me and Eli just look at each other and wait...there's a moment of silence and then 'HUUUUUUUUURRRRRRRRRRRRKKKKGGGGGGLLURRRRRRGGG......BLOOOOOOOORRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGG'
We start cracking up.
I get to sleep pretty fast, I can barely move or walk without getting leg cramps.
Morning comes, we're all groggy. I really did not think I'd be able to even kick that day. The stiffness was legendary. Getting in and out of the car was backbreaking labor. We head to some neat little italian breakfast place then make a fashionably late entrance to the second shred location. There were some new faces...Matt Cross was there, always good to see him. I met the notorious Digges brothers, who are both really cool and have massive potential. Willy was trying fairy spinning ducking symposium reverse whirling rake...OUCH!
I did some kicks and felt like I was gonna die, but it got slightly less agonizing and I was shredding before I knew it (ok after 40 minutes of panting and moaning). I played mostly with Josh and Paul A. Also a bit with Chris Dean who is really good at footbag and is going to get really really really good at footbag. His style is effortless and precise.
After several hours of shred Matt get's the Sick3 and Sick1 going. Seb was 'the guy' and we managed to get him a piece of paper and pen to do whatever it is that 'the guy' does. Kevin taped it all so the results should show up within a week or two (or however long it takes to make a vid). I was originally only going to do Sick1 but decided to go Sick3 also just for the heck of it. I was last for the Sick3 (after everyone elses sick combos) and dropped everything. I was going for bedwetter>pixie paradon>ps whirl or spinning whirl, but I was too nervous to make the bedwetter stick. Quite embarassing!
I was first up for Sick1. I was like 'well, just try some crazy shit and people will gasp even if ya miss it'. First I tried blurriest rake and missed. That's a cool move. Then I tried ducking inmobius and came pretty close but also missed. Then i was like ahh might as well try crossfire and just went for it without thinking. I turn my head and see the symp whirl perfectly timed and the bag land right on my goddamn foot. I was so happy I felt like exploding. People were cheering, it was so wonderful. I had two more tries and I didn't even care. Nick hit symp scorp (a crazy hard move in my books), Willy tried his insane eight adder but couldn't get it to stick unfortunately. Jorden takes the bag and hits four out of five tricks, all of them perfect and gross, like the best barroquescrew I ever saw, and tridon among others. Eli hit the coolest move ever, spinning double pickup. I dun' care that trick is tough as nails. Anyway I figure I'd get second and I was quite happy about it. I would have voted for the barroquescrew, but they did a vote and crossfire won! I couldn't stop smiling it felt so good, and getting props from everyone, it was unreal. Made me feel so pumped about footbag too. I think it was more a personal victory, I beat myself and won! Hahaha
What a great great time those two days were.
Thanks to...:
-Seb for driving us up, and Eli for covering the ten bucks I owe for gas until I get payed
-The montreal crew for being so hilarious on the way there and back
-Lowrider Laroche for hooking me up with breakfast as well as the best hamburger I ever had
-Ryan and Dan for setting up this gathering of blades. Muchos props, everyone had an amazing time.
-Chris Dean for the two sleeman honey browns he left in my bag then donated to my cause hahaha. I forget all about them until I unpacked my bag and I was like 'HOLY CRAP CHRISTMAS CAME EARLY THIS YEAR MAAA!' I enjoyed them thouroughly, and i'm hooking ya up the next tourney I see ya at.
-Mike for letting us stay at his immaculate house. Especially since you're not a footbagger and we're all virtually strangers, we're nice guys though I swear! Thank you thank you thank you.
-Kevin and Tom for only making on G.n joke each the whole time Hahahahaha.
-Kevin for making the trip from freakin' Edmonton (I will visit your fine city one day).
-Tom for being Tom.
-everyone for coming and showing their ninja skillz.
-anyone else I forgot to thank for something
PEACE OUT MY BRUTHAS!!!!!!
EDIT: I can't believe I forgot to mention the wicked cool prize Tom supplied me with...a sweat band with a watch thingy in it. THANKS!!

THANKS!!

I'm glad you liked it
, took me over an hour to write!
Ok ya'll, I had my first session since the tournament...you know how those are...always amazing. Well this one was even better than that! And you know for all the complaining I did about the cramps I could have played Monday with only one days rest after all that shred. I wonder just how much I can push myself now....HMMMMMMMMM
Oh yeah, about the session. WEEEEEELLLLL the thing about this session is that I realized two very important things, the first is that I'm good at footbag, but the second and vastly more important thing is that I'm going to get SO MUCH FREAKIN' BETTER!
It's all so easy, it all makes so much sense.
I will be BAP, I have no choice. Besides, I can't let Nick have all the fun

Thanks guys! I love you all.
Had a solo session tonight, well actually about 99% of my sessions are solo sessions, and that's ok. But I really do need to play with people once in a while. In any case it went well but I could only last for an hour and a half because the heat in here drains the energy right out of me. Like my body is using all it's fuel just to keep me from over heating. I don't know what it is but it takes so much effort here, and I'm literally dripping from head to toe. Like I just got out of a lake, but even more wet than that. And my footfighter gets soaked too, but it plays better like that. Even my freakin' lavers got soaked.
Things are coming along nicely I think. I have much more control now and I'm hoping my progress with increase much faster (it's been four fucking years!!). I worked on blazing, symp blazing, scattered and shattered a bit, getting a feel for it. Almost hit ingyro symp mirage, what a cool move. Also made myself hit ten torques on each side. I'm going to do that every session and with blenders and fluxes too. Also fusion, scorp and mob.
I'll have a better update tomorrow hopefully.

You know I'm busy being shifty an' all, right? Seriously, August will be shredtastic but I'm really jammed for time this month.
Had mah session tonight and it went well. I made myself hit ten blenders and ten torques both sides. It felt amazing, this technique is very effective. Yesterdays torque training took quite a while but it was MUCH quicker today. The last 3 on each side were on command, the last being toe torques, which are essential for pdx torque, porque and atomic torque. My good blender is HOT and rarely misses and what's even better is the flip is catching up too. I've realized some very very important tips for hitting blenders everytime....
1) Set above knee height...you'll want that extra hang time.
2) As with all moves, jump into it, but the jump is subtle.
3) Spot the bag until you CLEAR THE DEX!
4) Emphasize the 'roundness' of the dex so you get around it without smacking it askew
5) Right before you turn your upper body to catch the bag, see where it is and prep your stalling foot appropriately.
6) By the time you come 'round it should be landed gently on your foot. The dex may be fast but the catch is ALWAYS smooth and controlled.
I was freezing and planting them on my good side. Also zoomed the flip.
That's it, maybe next sesh will be better!
Oh yeah, one more tip. For any spinning op move, like spinning butter, osis, whirl or scorp you must follow through with the spin! It is key.

Have some updizzles to make. The session before this I hit blender>blender which I was stoked about. They're getting easier, same with torques.
Tonights session was a fucking pain in the ass. Am I the only one who can't play footbag? I am the only one who's stupid enough to make the same mistakes over and over and has virtually nothing to show for 4 and a half years of training???? Jesus when will it click goddammit. I'm a friggin snail or something. And then I start wondering...will it ever click? Will I ever be as good as I want to be? Maybe I just can't do it. But why can other people do it?
Shouldn't take me 10 fucking tries to hit flip smog ARRRRRRGHHGHGHGHG
Ok maybe I can blame it on the heat...
WATCH THE BAG NOT YOUR LEGS DUMMY!!!!!
WATCH
WAIT
WATCH
BAM!
Omg the perserverence I'm gonna need to make BAP...I feel like curling up in a ball in some dark dreary corner and crying, and giving up...gah I'll give it a little longer but I'd better start seeing some results.
