I went swimming with Vida yesterday and it was delightful! I love swimming! We did water dexes together! I love seeing Vida go for tricks and play footbag and stuff!! It's so thrilling for me!!!

She will definately be hitting combos and links real soon, you can see that she has good confidence and style.

Oh man, she's got better ankles than me too, I am jealous!

So I went out playing with my football last night with Matt.
I had left my glasses sitting in this space between a pole and a wall, I figured they were safe. I managed to kick the ball from 60 feet away and have it land in the little nook the glasses were in and it smashed them REALLY good! They were pretty dramatically bent up.

At one point we were playing just with his ball and mine was resting against the curb. I looked up from playing at noticed that my ball was GONE! rrrrrrrrrrr So I guess someone walked off with it. Sweet.

I really don't think this football thing is meant to be. It is trying really hard to not be in my life!

I was just fiddling with my glasses a second ago trying to bend them back a little closer to normal and I broke them in two.

I suck.

I am going to go play footbag and hopefully not suck at that too.

cant play 2 footba sports at once! i mean, you cant win!

you play football and your footbags will get really jealous, and i mean, how friggin jealous must your football be if it runs away when you play with another guys ball?

haha that sounds a lot funnier on paper than it did in my head.

see you at TOFU!! 3 days!!!!

I`m a bit confused by what you mean when you say football. Do you mean soccer? Or like American football? Is the ball in Canadian football different?

Gotta say I`m stoked to play with you at worlds. I bet you`re like 30 million times better than the kid I met last year who played his first foursquare game with Chad and co.

Hey Paul and Ken, thanks for paying a visit to my blog. :)

Ken, when I say football I really mean a soccer ball and at the same time I really mean football because soccer is just the name used by North Americans (yes, I realise I am one) and not by the rest of the world.
I am trying to sound european and worldly by calling it football.

To answer your other question, a Canadian football (not soccer) *is* actually differently shaped/dimensioned than the American football, it is a little bigger. Our field is bigger too, Canada lives large. :P

Ken, I am stoked to play with you too! I look forward to seeing and comparing all the crazy styles people have. I bet it would be interesting seeing you next to Szymon (ners) from poland, your styles are SO different! How close are you to frantic ducking? I wanna see it! I also wanna see some WHAT!?'s and gyro WHAT!? and Jawa to stepping same eggbeater.

I had forgotten that my first 4-square game was in such esteemed company. Footbag is amazing. fucking amazing.

I think this years worlds will be additionally interesting because of the footblogs. Having these windows into other shredders' lives is really special. I sometimes feel strange meeting people knowing they've read all the nonesense Ive written about in here because.. I don't know.. people sometimes like me better when they don't know the kind of things I do on my own time. I feel like the blogs help let us all know eachother a little better by giving us a space to spew out whatever crap we want without the restraints of posting something worth posting, anything can go in a blog!

I figured out today why I keep losing my football.
Because I have been playing so much football that I SUCK ASS at footbag now!!!!!!! RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR
I am going into "drill until I stop sucking" mode until I leave for Europe.
Today was a really disappointing session, I couldn't hit anything.

My pixies SUCK now!!!!!!!! how is that possible?????? I used to be REALLY pixie based and now they are crap!!!

Without my pixies I won't be spending much time on my toes and I'll likely dive deep into clipper country.

I hit a good drill or two today.
osis>osis>drifter>osis>osis>drifter>osis
osis>drifter>drifter>osis>drifter>drifter (fuck yah!!)

My new climas are pretty turbo sweet. I still kinda want CT300's, they just felt so goshdarn good!

I miss my football.

I think the fact that I have been progressing alot at freestyle football is indicative that I have been spending alot of time doing it. I could/should have been investing that time on footbag. I feel I got good enough at football to appease me for a bit.

I got 101 kicks the other day!! Life time record!!!

OOH!!! I did hit something else good today, I fucking SLAYED my osis record!!!
My old record was 27 or something, today I got 38, then 44!!!!

I can't believe I can do 44 osii! I rule!! they felt soooo good by the end.

I will get wicked good dammit.

Hey Tom, in Australia and New Zealand it's called "soccer" too. We have four big codes of "football" in Australia - real football (aussie rules), rugby union, rugby league and soccer. I'm pretty sure soccer is the smallest of those.

Damn, Spiderman!!! I just read you death defying roof experience. Glad you made it. Sucks that you lost the ball anyway. At least you have a sweet story wall crawler.

TOFU was incredible, mega mega props to Seath for putting it all together.

I want to write alot about it.. but I also don't.

there was lots of really great moments to remember, perhaps tomorrow when it isn't 4 AM I will make an attempt at recalling some of the stuff.

I am getting fed up with the mods here at modified.
Some people are such hypersensitive babies that can't handle reality.

I leave for Europe in 5 days.
I hear back from Queen's about the funding before the end of the week.

I am not sure if I mentioned it but really unfortunately my aunt that got in a car accident ultimately wound up dying. I am very glad that I had the chance to talk with her the day before her accident. That's life I guess.

I am gonna go to bed, sorry my blog sucks now, I have so much I want to write but my fingers aren't feeling it.

Ooh, actually, one quick story.

so yesterday I tossed this footbag of mine up into the shaft of my skylight like I often do. Unfortunately at the top of the wall was a nook in which the footbag landed making the bag get stuck 20 feet up and totally out of reach.

Ten minutes later or so I was doing stuff around my house and I walked into my room and there sitting on the top of the back of my chair was the bag. This may not sound all that remarkable but I must stress how entirely impossible this landing location was. I was unable to manage to get the bag to land on the chairback from 2 feet up (it kept bouncing off) *let alone* from 20 feet up!

I was plenty freaked out and all I kept thinking of was my Aunt Patty for some reason.. ghosts are scary, I wonder if that's what happened. Ghosts can be good though, I mean.. my footbag came back!

yay!

:D

shit dude, this is tight. the locations are all wicked cool...most of the video has a really surreal feeling to it...like the background isnt even real. good variety with the terrain traversing and everything. and your style reminds me a lot of mine...except better and a helluva a lot more consistant. tight video. except for the part where you look like you are picking your ass at the beginning. :D
