Good job!

Thanks for the comments guys! As you all probably know, critique is most welcome. Colin, I did notice the difference in Drifter technique and have already started working on fixing it. I really appreciate you letting me know though!
I'll just post the link again:
July 2nd - Byrin's Footbag Drilling Fiesta!!
Size - 16 megs
Length - 3:16
Today's session lead me on a roller coaster of emotions. It started out good, then slightly went sour, then went really good again, then made me so angry I almost cried, then ended on some pretty good things. I don't know if I can call this session a good one but I want to keep a positive mindset so I'll say it was productive. It was roughly 3.5 hours long.
- Butterfly x 20 > Osis x 20 > Butterfly > Pdx Mirage x 10 > Osis (new BOP string record
)
- 42 contacts of Butterfly > ss Butterfly
- 30 contacts of Osis > Far Osis first attempt
- Dimwalk > Blur x atleast 8
- 9 contacts of Jorden's Rubber Extension (freakin' hard)
- Atom Smasher x 8 (beat my old record of 5)
- Smoke bsos pretty easily
- Pdx Torque > Pdx Torque bs
- Bigwalk bs and Gyro Blurry Whirl bs (first time on weakside - sets were clean)
- Phoenix > Blurry Whirl > Mobius bs
** [Forgot] **
Yesterday I hit Pixie ss Drifter for the first time on bs. It took me two attempts to hit with my right leg, first with the left. I then immediately went into a string and commenced to hit it with the right leg again. Almost a new trick that I bsos'ed on first attempt
** [/Forgot] **
What really made me frustrated was the fact that I could not, no matter how hard I tried, hit Rubberman. No word of a lie, I must have dropped every trick atleast three times on both sides. I tried for about 45 minutes to no success, then just moved on and did some Blurry Drifters and Tombstones (which are getting a lot better). Almost bsos'ed them both but I wasn't trying as hard as I was yesterday.

hey byrin, cool video. the song cracked me up big time!!! you also gave me some drills to work on so thanks! i had completely forgotten about jorden's rubberman extention drill, and i hit it first try, which was a nice higlight for the crappy sessions i've had all week
. looking forward to the next one.
A.G.
Geeze, that's crazy! That gets me all excited to kick with you again Andrew. You can bet your ass that I'm working hard on improving my game, and I have you to thank for it
.
I went into the city this evenign and kicked with Rory and Travis for about 2 hours. Unfortunately for Rory, his shins were not letting up for a session and his ankle was bothering him. I really feel for him
. Travis, though he doesn't practice as much, was managing some new links which is awesome! His strongside Clippers seem to be a lot more controlled then when I last saw him.
As for myself, I hit a few good things. I had a few nice long runs but everyone got pooped out pretty quick and we just started doing some combos.
- Dimwalk > Blur x 8
- Sidewalk > Butterfly x 8 I think
- Tombstone bsos
- Blurry Drifter bsos (yay!!)
- A run with Little Apple bs and Tombstone (dropped the other Tombstone)
- A run with Gyro Legover bs and Gyro Pickup bs
- Whirlwind bsos (first 6 to be bsos'ed
)
- Blurry Whirl > Blurry Whirl bs
- 10 contacts of Rubberman! Yay I broke my record (and hit Rubberman
)!
- Pdx Torque > Pdx Torque
- Spinning Osis > Tombstone somehow first attempt
- Double Spinning Osis first attempt
Wow, so I did do pretty good. Anyways, tomorrow I'm going to be drilling again. Too bad I don't have my camera, I have a few songs that I really want to make a video too. *sighs*

Oh. My. God. Super. Session. Why can't I have my freakin camera?!?
It started between 3:30 - 4 and I just ended about 10 minutes ago (it's 7:50), so about 3.5 - 4 hour session.
- 64 and 66 contact BOP strings
- Sidewalk > Butterfly x 7
- Rubberman > Rubberman bs (one of which was sealed with a run that had Smoke bs)
- 12 consecutive Drifters (new record)
- Drifter > Sidewalk x 4 (?)
- Toe Drifter > Stepping ss Mirage x 3 (?)
- Smoke > Blur > Smoke > Stepping ss Mirage bs
- Pdx Drifter > Butterfly x 4
- Pdx Whirl x 6 (record is 7) on two occassions
- Pdx Whirl > Pdx Drifter > Pdx Whirl > Pdx Drifter bs
- Whirl > Ripwalk x 4
- Toe Whirl > Blur x 4
- Pdx Whirl > Sidewalk x 4
- Whirl > Ripwalk > Whirl > Ripwalk > Whirl > Blur > Toe Whirl > Blur > Toe Whirl > Sidewalk > Pdx Whirl
- Pdx Whirl > Blur > Pixie Whirl > Ripwalk > repeated
- Jorden's Rubber Extension Drill (Sidewalk > Blur > Tap > Atom Smasher > Tap > Legbeater > rpt) > run with Pdx Torque bs
- Pdx Torque > Pdx Torque bs
To celebrate, I just may go stretch again, and make myself burgers and orange juice, top that off with a banana and a glass of milk, then an ice cream sandwhich for desert

Oh. My. God.
My 32 blew a hole!! Noooooo, Mr. Suderbag!!! I had just washed it, put more pellets in and she was looking soo pretty (and smelled of a delicious conditioner). I started kicking on Friday at the YMCA and everything was fine. Now I'm not going to be linking this with the accident, but Kevin was showing me Stallbergers with the 32 and after about 10 minutes I noticed a few pellets flying out. That's when I noticed the broken stitching and the gaping hole between the panels. I grew very depressed and couldn't stop thinking about it the entire session.
Now (Sunday at 2 in the morning) I just finished trying to fix it since I leave for England in, like, 3 days and I need a footbag. I think for someone who has no - zero - zilch - nada - kaput - skills in sewing footbags I did quite well. The panel bulges out a tiny bit and it has what I refer to as a dimple but I don't think it will hinder it's performance *that* much.
So back to footbag highlights:
Friday, June 8th at the YMCA
3.25ish hours
- Pdx Torque > Pdx Torque bs
- Smoke > Pdx Torque unsealed bs
- Blurry Torque bs (never hit it bs in one session)
- Blurry Drifter bsos many times (Blurry Drifter > Butterfly > Blurry Drifter > run)
- Pdx Drifter > Butterfly x 4ish again
- Drifter x 17 (new record!)
- A run with Blurry Whirl bs and Mobius
- Mobius > Scorpion's Tail bs (though I think Kevin said that my weakside Scorp was thin or not there?)
- Scorpion's Tail bsos
- Atom Bomb off the foot
- Spinning Mobius really close
- Some other big tricks that were close
Saturday, June 9th at a busking festival
2 hours
- PS Whirl bsos (I never do PS Whirls or anything symposium anymore...)
- Rubberman > tripless run (12 unique, 16 contacts or something)
- Blurry Drifter bsos again
- A run that was around 20 contacts full of shuffle (dropped due to exhaustion!!)
- Lots of Drifters, Pdx Drifters and stepping out of Drifters
So yeah - Saturday was awesome! In the beginning I was totally feeding off of the 50 odd spectators watching us, doing long strings full of shuffle. After I ran out of water in my water bottle everything slowed down for me but I was still very happy with what was hit.
My shuffle these days is off the hook!! I LOVE IT!
EDIT - I did a bit of calculations and I put in 23.5 hours of footbag within the last 7 days. That's a new record for me! It comes out to around 3.36 hours of footbag a day. Daaaaaaaayum!!

Thanks guys!! Comments are so welcome, especially as of lately because I haven't been kicking as well as I have been. Things get hit, but it just feels harder then it should, you know?
Anyways, not much to report except that I created yet another video. This one was filmed today (had two sessions, each about 2 hours long) and edited, and then there was the hhectic uploading. It's 3:33am and it just finished, and I am spent!!
If you liked the first video I put out, then you don't want to miss this one!! Both the shred and the editing are sooo much better in this video, I was actually surprised it turned out as well as it did! It is posted in the Video section so please stop by if you have the time
.
I leave for England in, like, almost 24 hours. That's so crazy, I can't wait!! It will be the first time I go over seas so it should be just like an adventure!

I can't sleep.
It's 2:45 in the morning and I can not sleep.
I just wanted to say my good-byes, farewells and best of lucks to all those attending Worlds this year. God, I remember Worlds 04 like it was yesterday! Not that I attended, just how the forums were so empty and how everyone was talking about how good Jorden was. I hope the atmosphere is captured this year. Next year will be a different story since I'm making it a top priority to attend.
Anyways, I don't know. I'm going to take the next 3 and a half weeks very easily, maybe kick once every other day or something. I guess I'll have to see when I get there, what the shredding opportunity is like and whatnot. I would definitely like to come back knowing I've progressed so I'll be sure to play hard whenever the Lavers are strapped on.
Other than that, I hope everybody takes care!! Rock on at worlds!! Do what I would do - live it like each day is the last!! Just remember to drink lots of water and stretch after your sessions (a banana or two wouldn't hurt either
).

Oi from England!
My return to the homeland is after a (roughly) 8 hour flight on August the 7th, and while my time here is great I really look forward to sleeping in my own bed
Hey Kevin, man, that quote is so scary!! One reason is because it is true, the other is that that event took place over a year ago!!
So yeah, I'm just on to breifly check email only to realize that me mommy doesn't love me, boo hoo. Deeply saddened I am. England is great - Ripcurl Boardmasters are on this week!! Does anybody know of a Jamie O'Brein (sp?) because he sat right across from me while at a Thai restaurant the other night
Anyways, some random footbag highlights from while I am here (there is a boating lake about 5 min away from where I am staying which is a good place to kick if you mind the water):
- Atom Smasher > Reactor > Blur > repeat
- Atomic Osis > Torque > Blur > repeat
- Blurry Drifter > Blurry Whirl bs
- Blurry Whirl > Blurry Drifter bs
- Smog > PLO > Smog > PLO > Smog > PLO
- Mobius > Sidewalk bs
- Mobius > Blur bs
- Reactor > Ripwalk > Blur > repeat
- Vortex > Vortex bs
- Gyro Osis > Gyro Clipper > repeat
- Weakside Atomic Torque and Tapping Torque
- Ripwalk x 18 (new record)
- Dimwalk > Blur x 11
- Pdx Drifter x 4 (almost bs)
And yeah, I can't really remember what else. Basically I've been kicking every once in a while, though yesterday I put in 3.5 hours and tomorrow I may do the same instead of goign to the beach (it's just too boring for me :/). England is beaufitul, though cramped.
Anyways, I have to head out. We are going to the pub to meet some old friends - maybe I shall have a pint or two
Take care folks!

What? No
. That's a lie and you know it Sam!! I totally look atleast 15, maybe 16 if I don't shave for 2 weeks
.
So I'm home now, just got back today and am goign to be pushign this day out to the end to fight jet lag. England is beautiful when the weather co-operates, but I think it's just a bit too cramped for me. Other then that though, wow. I've met such nice people there, I'd really like to go back some day just to see them again.
The other day I had an uber session, well a few, so here are some results!!
- Pixie ss Pickup > Paste > Pixie ss Pickup > Paste > Smudge > Pixie ss Illusion > Smudge > Pixie ss Illusion > Magellan > PLO > Magellan > PLO > Smear > Pixie ss Mirage > Smear > Pixie ss Mirage > Dimwalk > Blur > Dimwalk > Blur
- Smear > Smudge > Dimwalk > Sidewalk > Ripwalk > Ripwalk > Sidewalk > Stepping ss Mirage > Fairy Butterfly > Blur > REPEATED BIATCH!
- Ripwalk > Ripwalk > Blurry Whirl x 3
- Fog > Dimwalk bs
Ok, so I can't remember what else. Those ones just stick out for me. Rory has got me in the mood for kicking but I shouldn't because I'm feeling tired from jetlag. Damn, I want to shred!

New Byrin video!
Size: 22 megs
Song: N.E.R.D. - Rockstar (Jason Remix)

Please leave your thoughts, either in this thread or the topic in the video section (located at http://www.modified.ca/footbag/viewtopi ... 628#167628). Thank you!
=====================
Life for me has been really good as of now. I've been eating less and more healthy, drinking more water, stretching every evening before I go to bed, and I even have a better sleeping pattern then I did before so I am quite content. For the next little while I'll be babysitting for my aunty which will get me some money as I look for a job until I head out to university or college next year. Overall, I feel fantastic and am alway slooking forward to tomorrow.
Footbag wise, my game has taken off! I've been shredding smarter and better, taking frequent days off if my legs don't feel up for a shred. Overall, I've realized that if I want to get better I have to understand that I can't force myself to do it - if I let it come to me then I will progress at a much faster pace and have more fun doing it!
That said, I had a kick this morning and had a lot of really good highlights:
- Osis > Gyro Clipper > Spinning Osis > Spinning Clipper > Far Osis > Spinning Clipper > repeat
- Ducking Clipper x 32 (new record)
- Ducking Butterfly x 10 (new record)
- 14 unique pixie tricks linked first attempt
- Toe Drifter > DLO x 6
- 18 contacts of Smear > Dimwalk > Sidewalk > Blur > Tap
- Dimwalk > Far Schmoe > Parkwalk > Ripwalk > Schmoe > repeat
- Pdx Drifter > Ripwalk > Pdx Drifter > Ripwalk bs
- Pdx DLO > Dimwalk x 6 or 7 (lost count)
- 22 contacts of Shred 30

Fuck yeah!! that new video was SO intense!! It has me all charged up and ready to effing shred!!!
your shred is SO strong and powerful! I loved the drills you did, you're so bothsided!
I of course loved the mobe>side>rip>etc your shuffle is really confident and varied, super!
The song got me psyched up also, good choice!
Heheh the drill that you hit x 3.67 made me laugh too.
