So there we were...
Kicking and chilling and shredding away, when by chance a viewer stumbled across. I thought to myself here and there, why not invite the kiddo to share. I've a neat bag and wicked shoes to try, why not? It could be worth more than a sigh? So, I did. But launched myself into quite a mess. The kids' 'r hooked, how to help them improve? Not to mention, I will be mostly working with 4/5th graders over the next 2 weeks, and then a new group of them will come along.
They like the idea, but I have a regime to get em kicking. They can spastically hit it 3 times before it hits the ground, how do I set up a way for them to become better?
Not only whoring footbag, but teaching it?

Try to make it fun. Kicking in circles is great for kids to learn the co-ordination needed to learn the new skills of just keeping the bag up. This is especially true for kids that don't play soccer (football).
Also, 4Square is another way to help them learn the skills.
The main thing is for them to practice.
I've tried giving lessons before, but it gets painfull when every time you give a lesson you find your students haven't practiced once in a week! You really need them to do *Some* practice at least 3 times a week.

Whenever I teach trombone lessons I start off by asking them what they want to learn. That way they have fun and they learn what they want to. Maybe you could try asking the kids? If they're not having fun then there's no way they'll practice on their own. If you don't understand how to get them to have fun then they won't have fun. And if you don't ask them, then you won't understand. Just establish a good line of communication and it will help out a bunch. Good luck!
