Jackbag has been successfully coaxed into atttempting the following combo 50 times:
mirage>pixie>mirage>pixie>legover>clipper
One of us will report back progress on this hein combo when we return from a mini-session . . . (BTW, she's never hit more than 4 consec tiltless, so this combo would be big)

My name: Jeremy Mirken, AKA Chocolatey Shatner, AKA jerk enemy rim.
I kick it with trunk chef elf and liz luck key my.

I did try that combo on July 2nd, but I don't think I got past the fourth or fifth move. I hit flip mirage>pixie>mirage>toe>clipper>toes>drop flip pixie. I also hit inside>toe>pixie>mirage>pixie>drop legover, and then legover>pixie>drop mirage. There's a section of video where I think I look like a Kotsakos with my hair all up on the top of my head. Am I disturbed by this, or do I flatter myself?
Went golfing with Jeremy on the 3rd. We played 9 holes. I shot a 67, and he shot a 30-something. We went at noon, so no one else would be on the course, because who else would golf when it's 104 degrees out? It was fun, but tiring.
July 5 session:
No idea what I hit, but some of it got recorded so I'll look at it later
(edit: added runs) pixie>pixie>toe>mirage>drop mirage
flip mirage>pixie>mirage>drop pixie
legover>toe>pixie>drop pixie
excited>happy>frustrated>mad
Hit clipper mirage>...>mirage>mirage>...
Practiced butterflies, but didn't get anywhere. It seems like I lose all ankle crank when I try butterflies. I feel like I had a few good runs, trying to throw in everything, but I think I always ended up dropping on something that I really wanted to hit. I want that extra trick in the string, you know? I got frustrated again, but I tried my best not to be mean to J. I don't think I succeeded.
Here's how I felt after the session:
I can stop when I want to
Can stop when I wish
I can stop, stop, stop any time.
And what a good feeling to feel like this
And know that the feeling is really mine.
Know that there's something deep inside
That helps us become what we can.
For a girl can be someday a woman
And a boy can be someday a man.

Hey just wanted to throw in that if you feel like your butterflys are just really hard then stop practicing butterfly and start practicing the components of butterfly.
Its sort of like numeric pyramids
Anyway so butterfly would be legover and clipper ... practice both SOOO MUCH
then practice clipper > same legover > op clipper > repeat
GOOD LUCK MS ROGERS!

Hey cool blog! I wish I had been reading this all this time! It's great to read someone more on my own level. People hitting Nemesis and Icarus and whatnot is cool, but right now I always feel like I understand less demanding tricks a lot better. I'll keep reading! Have you hit any double dex moves? My first double dex was smear, maybe give it a shot after you work pixie up some more? Just a suggestion!
(Bump)
Hey! Welcome to Santa Cruz. I've been busy since you arrived but I don't work any of the mornings next week so we should hang out and play. See you later today, and I can't wait to kick with you on Saturday.

Session last Sat:
I think I hit clipper mirage again. I footed it on my flip side.
Got kicked by someone, and was beaned in the head by a bag.
Tried to hit the same thing E did...alas I did not hit it.
And I got bitten by an ant in a tender place!
Stanford session:
See Emily's blog for fuller details.
I had fun being back in Palo Alto, since that's where I was born. I kept remembering random facts and places, but they were only fun to me.
It was good meeting Stephen and his grandmother. Oh I had such the best crepe! Stephen is really nice and just young enough for a girl to move to Denver for.
I enjoyed playing with Emily, you know who you are,
She helped me practice clipper>ss clipper which Jeremy thinks I've already hit. I also hit butterfly from op toe on both sides (the first time on my flip? Dang I need to read my own blog).
I got to play with Ben, Brian, and Michael. I had a few runs with both pixies, both mirages, and a legover. I was happy when I pixied out of a legover (seems like it's been a while since I've done that). Mostly I watched the circle with Jeremy*, Stephen, and Dustin. That was cool. I also took some pictures, which hopefully I'll be posting soon. I took some good four-square pictures too.
It is so nice to be able to drive over "the hill," have a session, and come home all in the same day. Another perk to being back in Ca (besides being back with beloved fog, ocean, family, and sweet cakes).
*Look how I didn't even mention the butt-smacking, which wasn't witnessed by anyone, so most likely didn't even happen.

I'm glad Sam is glad.
I had a small session today with Jeremy. My shins started hurting right away, which just isn't fair. I know, I know, toe taps!
I practiced the motion for my flip legover, and though I was scared of hurting myself again, I managed to hit a few!
I hit butterfly again, but Jeremy said it's not great Very Happy
I hit clipper>same clipper for the first time (only one side though)!
I hit for the first time flip mirage>clipper followed by a strong side mirage!
My "big" combo for the day was flip mirage>legover>mirage (first try!), which is three of the four that Luis told me to drill.
Not bad Rolling Eyes
Oh yeah Loren: I tried pixie clipper both sides today, and I had it on my foot a good five times! I just need to actually clipper it instead of kicking it.
The shower is calling me,

Sunday Aug. 14
Today, as I promised J, I had a legover session in our garage.
It was only supposed to be a half an hour, but we didn't get inside until 11:30pm. I warmed up with the usual two moves that I can do. J had me try clipper, set from far toe, which was interesting, and would really help me with my butterfly timing, if I tried it more often. (sorry that was a comma-slut sentence) He also had me practice clipper>same clipper, and flip clipper mirage, but I did not hit either. So, I had not hit a flip legover, since I don't know when, but today I hit 10 or 12 out of the 77 attempts. I also hit 12 strong legovers out of about 30 attempts.
The awesomest, awesomest part was when I tried legover>legover, starting with my flip. I hit it, and hand caught it, because I was so super excited. Then J reminded me that I don't believe that hand-catching is a real seal...
so BAM! next attempt I hit:
flip legover>legover>toe>mirage>toe>legover>toe>legover>toe>drop!
Yeah, that's right, two on each side!
Very ecstatic, and gave sweaty kisses.
I should have stopped with that.
I tried flip pixie>legover, but on the third attempt or so, I hurt my left leg (which is the reason why I stopped doing legovers oh so long ago!!) I was really mad at myself. All attempts after that were ugly, and I nearly gave up a million times. I finally just prayed to hit one flip legover, so that I could go inside. I did...eventually.

Foster City Session
Wed the 17th:
We, from SC, drove over the hill again to the bay area. Picked up Nate and Reid kicked on some tennis courts. After much discussion we finally figured out that Nate was that one guy with long hair and red lavers from Oregon who was at the same UCSF jam that I went to a few years ago (good stuff).
I think it's safe to say that everyone had a really fun time.
It was such a nice day, and I've never been in a circle (ok, out of the 20 I've been in) where so many props were given. Everyone was happy about something they hit, so check their blogs I guess.
Nate beat us all to the punch so far:
http://modified.ca/footbag/viewtopic.ph ... &start=120
Here's what I hit:
a few strong butterflies from op toe
both legovers fairly well in "runs"
pixie>legover
legover>legover
footed: mirage>legover>mirage>legover
pixie>mirage>pixie>mirage
a few strong clipper mirages
clipper mirage>mirage
AND flip clipper mirage (thanks Emily)
in fact I was close to hitting it bsos on that try.
Then we ate at Noah's Bagels (mmm), and chilled at Nate's house.
I'm tired, and there's a sunburn that needs aloe.
Oh and maybe some cookies.
Really it was a wonderful day.

Amelia it was great to meet you. Your one cool girl. Thank you very much for hanging out with me, and giving me a bunch of second attempts. My favorite phylum is Arthropoda because it starts with an a like Amelia, but mainly only crustaceans. Anyway thanks again.

clipper>ss clipper on strong side
footed clipper>ss clipper on other side
first pickup on my-strong-mirage-side
horrible attempts at the one move I really want to hit
I read Emily's last post in her blog while I was brushing my teeth
and by the time I finished reading it, the paste had congealed and left
my mouth feeling like I had dentures on.
I really wish there was a "where the hell is my blog" button.

The only thing I am going to say in response to Stephen,
is if there is booty talk in my blog it is going to be
about my booty or mirken booty, ok?
Feel free to express any booty-loving in poem form if necessary.
Thurs., 25th BeachTop session with E:
It was too beautiful to get frustrated, although I barely hit anything worth mentioning.
I hit two more pickups on my whatever-side, but I just can't fix the other side.
I hit clipper>ss clipper on my flip side.
I worked on butterflies (mostly flip), and I hit two pretty ones on my strong side.
I tried pixie clipper and footed it a bunch of times, but Emily pointed out that
I was working with my flip clipper. So I tried to work on my other side, but
the pixie set needs more work there. = STILL have not hit it.
But, Emily tried it and pretty much hit it both sides within three attempts.
Now I need to shower and work on apps, but I wanted to say that this

it's been a while since I posted, not because I haven't hit anything, but because you could just read Mirken or Emily, or Bryan's blog and know what happened. For my own records I'll update now:
San Fran Jam:
It's crazy that now I live so close to "the city," since being a so-cal girl san fran has always been that far away place in california. we had a beautiful shred spot with the skyline all around. i got some choice pictures of shred with the buildings in the background.
The best part of the day was a circle with Dustin, Bryan, and Ck with Steve commentating. I hit all of my "four tricks" in one run: mirage BSOS, pixie BSOS, clippers. I know I hit legover BSOS, and I know I had one other long run with some links.
I met Tu, who seems really sweet. It was hard to take pictures of him shredding b/c he was so fast! He left early though.
Then we ate Indian. It was good and fun and the chai seemed to burn as much as the food. After taking 15 minutes to say goodbye to cold Bryan and CK; Mirken, Emily, and I drove back to Nate's house. There we had wonderful ice cream.
Labor Day Jam
Bryan and CK drove down and picked up Dat on the way. They met up with us in the afternoon and we went downtown to grab a bite to eat. After speaking with some blue music men, we parked down by the warf. It was a great place for a circle b/c of all the people walking past. I can only remember hitting mirage>clipper mirage, and one run that was prop worthy. I watched the group-freestyle which I think was the best part of the day.
Dat tried to help me with pickups. I was able to hit 4 with my left leg dexing, but only when I didn't think about it as a move similar to mirage. I tried using the same mentality on my other side, but it seemed to make it worse. Sucks.
Best part of the day: Had a footbag dinner AFTER showering. Yes, we were starving by the time we got to Brando's but my pepperoni and garlic pizza seemed much more satisfying.
The next morning Bryan made us scrumpous pancakes! And eventually we made it to the Beach Top Shred Spot. It was such a beautiful day! I didn't really feel like shredding, but I wanted to skool. I worked on pixie clipper for a long time. Thanks to Bryan's "baby set" tip, I actually was able to hit it (3 times!) and hand catch it. That is very exciting.
Oh yeah, then Bryan kicked a bag over the cliff, and the rescue mission ensued (see his blog for details).
We had planned on watching some net, but it turned out we were too late. Lucky for us, we had a BBQ instead. Again Bryan cooked for us: super nice tri-tip and burgers and the best corn I've ever had outside of Iowa. I couldn't finish everything! Since we were too full to move we hung around for a while. CK did something that made Emily say, "oooweee!" and, as he said it, emily has talents in the dark. We played crotch-bag (thanks zeke), and I got hit, twice, but luckily I did not get any welts. However, I did get knocked in the eye while trying to spin light-sticks, just in time to go out to the club.
Pool ... music ... Jeremy dancing ...
pretty much your standard footbag friends fun!
Now my eyes are glazing over from the stitching-laundry-undercova brother-session we just had. feel free to find many idiodic mistakes in this entry, b/c I'm not going to check it.
