Last night I hit 1715 consecutive kicks!
That's my new personal best. It took it's toll on me, though as it was at the end of a session when I knew I should have stopped already.
So I don't plan to kick before next weekend.

So, last night Caroline turned up, which was great. It was good to see her again. She's doing well and still at her same job (dispite all the crap they've put her through).
Foxy and I had already warmed up and were hitting some cool runs. I saw foxy hit spinning osis BS, and he footed smear! Way cool.
I kept footing symp whirl midrun, but couldn't seal it. I'm also close to hitting PS Flail and footed it once.

We had a group of young kids rock up... they were idiots, but were blown away by footbag. I could tell they were into breakdancing, so they seemed to respect footbag a little more than the juggling, twirling and stickball that was going on.

Stickball is like a circle kick, but you use one of those giant 'tennis balls' and a five foot piece of 3cm dowel, passing the ball around using the stick and the flow of your body. No 'hitting' the ball, but gentle passes. It's cool to watch, but not as cool as footbag.

Foxy's got a fan, too. She's a cute redhead. I've told him to ask her out for a coffee or something next monday. She seems pretty interested in him (the bastard  ) so he might get somewhere with her.

I'm not planning on kicking for the rest of the week because I'm so sore after my 1715 (read above post) and the session. Might go to the gym tomorrow and do weights, though.

Alex is comming up next week, so that'll be cool. Someone new to kick with for a day!

I'm starting to wonder, what's the point of releasing my videos onto modified? No one seems to give a shit, beside the ausie players. And I post the link on the Ausfootbag site, anyway.

For example, '[insert title here]' got 12 comments out of 457 views. That movie was my 'masterpiece' - the best I've done yet. I poured so much time and effort into that movie and I've only got 12 comments!
And now, I've released another movie. Ok, so it's a big download, and it's not as good as [i.t.h.], but still, only 2 comments (from Ausies - i must point out), after 72 views.

I'd really like to know who downloaded either vid. Was [i.t.h.] downloaded about 400 times?
And why were only 12 people compelled to reply with *anything*?

And let's not forget that the only reason I got so many comments was because of my big rant about the lack of replys and comments.

*sigh*

I've got tomorrow off, but am working on the weekend, so I might have a kick tomorrow. I'll get a squash court and play at the gym I think.

Yeah it sucks. The same thing happens with all videos not realeased by North Americans or that don't contain "big name players". I decided a while ago not to post videos on modified anymore. When I make new vids I'll post about it in my blog and interested people can pm me on the condition that they don't post it anywhere and give feedback.

You're videos are sweet by the way - I definitly appreciate them and it's such a nice surprise every time you release them. It's clear you have a lot of talent editing movies and with your filming technique for that matter.

Thanks for your comments, Jeremy.

I actually removed the link just before coming to read the blog. I've decided to do the same - not post links on modified.

Every/any footbag movie I make I will only post the link on Ausfootbag - because that's what the content is, anyway.

So Ausfootbag will be getting the exclusives, from now on.

So, I'm just waiting for the towles to finish in the washing machiene so that I can hang them on the line and go for a kick.

I'm umming and ahhhing about taking my camera. I'm not sure if it'll be a worth while thing to do because I don't think I want to sit through an hour of footage of myself kicking, but at the same time, it would be good to check out specific aspects to my game that I'm unsure about.

...on second thought, I won't take it. I'd rather not play to the camera and would rather just play. I'm no 'Destroyer', so it's not like the world will be missing something if I don't take my camera.
And besides, it's not like anyone would download any footage of me, anyway.

Good point.

Lol, jks. You are good.

I played twice today. First time in 6 days  Both sessions were pretty good. My stepping is working really well, also my flip pixie is coming along. Hit some really long smooth runs and 46 alternating clippers first attempt. I couldnt really be bothered doing any more.
CANT WAIT TO PLAY WITH ALEX NEXT WEEK!
Also my Birthday is on the 12th of this month and I'm getting a new footbag :D
Up at 12:14 am. Doing nothing. Every one is asleep.
Bye
Hopefully back one day.

I ended up getting in touch with Foxy and had an evening session at a squash court. We played at a new place where the courts were in better condition and $1 cheeper!

Awesome session for me with some good freestyling. Probably the run of the night started with tripwalk, had some pdx mirages, ss butterflys and switches, then (and this is the biggie) symp whirl! sealed with a toe, some more 2's and 3's, then I dropped on a PS Whirl attempt!

It was a great run of excelent length (for me) with perhaps 15 contacts!

Foxy almost hit an alpine atomsmasher! That's right. He was ducking his atomics!
His spins are STILL getting better, but he's just got to school more.

Since he stopped playing, his stepping and blurry sets have really suffered, but his ducks, dives and spins have just shot away.
We have noticed some bad form in his flipside clippers, especially when he dives from that side. He crunches up too much and that causes a back strain which leaves him in some discomfort for a day or so later. But we're aware of it now, so he's just got to work on his form and it shouldn't be a problem.

Monday night session tomorrow. Can't wait. Was almost going to get a court at my gym tonight, but I don't want to over do myself, especially with Alex coming up for a session on Wednesday.

Gareth: Could you at least tell me what is the file name of this movie? I don't know which one download from aufootbag.org... And... Don't expect fast comment from me, because I will be downloading it for a few days...

To anyone interested in viewing Australian footage...

If you go to the forums at the Ausfootbag site you'll see a thread titled 'New Videos' in the 'chat' section. This is probably the easiest way to keep up to date with the Ausie scene as all vid links will be posted there by anyone in the Australian footbag scene.

Hi. I downloaded insert title here, and watch it a lot. I really like it! Sorry I didn't comment on it, I watch a lot of videos but don't comment on them, I guess I should make a better effort to do so. :(

Had a great session with Foxy last night. One of the best things about last night (asside from my new trick - diving parkwalk) was the drums.

Southbank on a Monday night is awesome.

I pulled up a little sore today, though. My bad knee (left) was suffering from a sore tendon at the back of the knee. I should be right for tomorrow.

Happy Birthday Jesse!

See ya tomorrow.

I'm supprised that nothing has been posted about the 130705BCS.

Well, I arrived at the designated spot at 11am ON THE DOT! Unfortunately Jesse and Foxy were running late and Alex was stuck at King George Square having never been to brisie before.
On my walk over to KGS, I met Foxy who had come from there. We ended up meeting Jesse and Alex at KGS before walking back to Southbank.

The two 'young punks' got straight into it and were amazing to see together. Both Jesse and Alex are super clean and bothsided, hitting some amazingly long runs and bullshit tricks.

Foxy and I, however kept the pace going with some sweet links and unique tricks (and attempts). Blurry Dyno was a highlight of Foxy's. Unfortunately he failed to seal it. It was a case of the bag popping up in front of him, but not realising he'd nailed the trick. It was funny and sad at the same time. Never mind, I'm sure he'll seal it some time soon.

My highlights were shitloads of new quantim tricks. I'm totally one sided with my quantim, but I'm cool with that. My flipside is with my bad knee, so I don't want to push it. I also had PDX flail on the toe but didn't have my balance so, as I fell back the bag dropped off the toe box. Sigh. I'll have that soon, too.
