And you are so cuuute  no kidding the vid is truly great !
The outro will be my medicine for bad moods from now on -
when i saw it the first time i was in hysterics, hand clapping and laughing
like an idiot :P

Oh yeah, big PrOpS for the two new moves - i bet pixie reverse whirl
looks hella stylee :D

Yo.
so i went outthere again, to the rainy busstation, trying to go as hard
as i can just to give the sceptic crowd ( either 3 or seventy year olds )
some good enough reason to jump around wearing nothing but
g units and a royal blue pair of shorts !

As hard as it was to get there this was a good, tough session ;
It was raining off and on, space was tiny and legs super heavy,
and i almost gave up while warming up with kicks and bops .

But i fought my way thru and came up with some new moves and cobos,
some new 4-4s and a nice flipside improvement :

121 kicks

3 infinities bs

dimwalk>osis

plo>pixie ss clipper

pixie clipper> stepping legover

a lot of stepping finally and my flip is actually much stronger than
what i call my "strong"side normally - this happened before
(dlo, xbd rake, osis...) and it usually applies to move i find/found hard
to do anyway, so when i hit a move a couple of times on my right
side , i go on focusing on my weaker side ( left foot) the next sessions.
Being totally addicted to bothsidedness and working hard on
evening everything out, i sometimes work "too"much on my flip,
so that it eventually overtakes my stronger side.

So i hit a lotta stepping ss legovers- a trick i've completly neglected -
and it took me ages to get them on my strong side again.
Also the other stepping moves like ripwalk and blur seemed so much
easier on my flip, but i hit all of em on both sides this session -
i never did that much stepping ever.

I worked on endurence aswell and i also took on some arch enemies
of mine, these are the results :

butterfly>shmoe

pixie ss clipper>shmoe

blur>dimwalk - nu 4-4 8)

flipside clipper set diving clipper twice

flipside datw - phew, i thought, i never hit that nicely, the firts time i hit
it, a few weeks ago, i fucked up the handcatch kinda...
today i hit it easily, starting a run with it once .

plo>pixie ss clip

BOTH SIDEWALKS boy, was i stoked when i hit my first one
ever- on the flip and quite relaxed, although my flip butter really sux !
I hit many sidewalks during the whole session and i love that move :D

butter>sidewalk

and i hit another new 4-4 ( twice) : BLUR>ATOMSMASHER>run 8O :D

harrrrr !

Props Daryl! I have four test within the next four days :? But I will definitely play again on thursday. And I don't want to ever again play so bad as yesterday at the Flip Festival!!! It was nice there though, but I still can't understand how pepole pay money to actually sit on the floor and listen to music :P That's the most boring thing to do.
P.S. I was so close to hitting Paradon bsos after the festival in front of our house. One leg - two dex here I come.

Thanks for all the props i've kindly been given lately- getting that sort
of positive reaction for my efforts fires up my motivation even more ;
it really stokes me that anybody reads our blog at all.

None of us has any little fame or a big name, but we get love for
our dedication and dicipline - and out of all the reasons, that sure aint the worst :P

Thanks for posting !

d

PS : paradon is so kool - if you get this one and its variations down,
all the core elements are yours !
Do you realize how great that is ? Guiltlessness with all the fundamentals
availible on both sides is just amazing in itself, and i have only a wild
and fairly vague notion, on how your game will take off by that point -
your style will liberate itself, soaring off to new heights of hardcore
creativity ! i freu mich drauf :D !!!
And please try reaper>paradon - now that would look fly 8) !

Umm, b4 i forget, i hit spinning legover>run after two tries in a
10 min-wait-4-the-train-session :D i love ripwalks, btw !!!

Weee, footbag !

Blenders.shoot.good spotting tho, as usual 8) actually Max said the
excact same thing, thats why your reply made me smile so much !
In my excitement about the dramatic and subtle evolution in the
Hunters game, i bluntly ignored them, probaly calling them
mere whirl variations while rubbing my hands unattractivly
But why in gods green goodness could we all forgot about swirls ?

Weeell, and the second, and i guess more important, part of your
post almost killed me :D frikken priceless, mate !!!

We got down for a little session today, i hope it will be my last till Euros.
But that will be quite hard, shreddin is some good, clean fun these days,
and today was very much in the same spirit .
I started out with kicks, and i could smash both pick up (8  ) and legover records( 35 ) with 14 and 43 .
bla bla bla.

Describing sessions becomes more and more difficult ;
my attitude changed, since the orphanage session, i feel like i can
just pick up a bag and shred away, doing nice combos and long runs
sometimes, without being restricted to the boring, but nessesary reps
of mirage, legover and clipper.

I just need an empty head and a vague idea how to star things off,
and then i feel like there are no limits ( not like i can suddenly hit
ps whirl>pdx eggbeater, but most of the moves i am able to do
are availible ).

This new feeling of confidence and no-mind peaked in a run where
i've already hit ten contacts, featuring flip blur and flip symple plo ,
when suddenly some part of my brain tells me its the perfect time
for a clean and scary ducking symposium mirage, and bamm,
i see it being landed and i feel strangly detatched and free.
Free to shred well, free to have as much fun as i can.
I didnt had to stop this time and hit some more 8ish moves out of it,
some odd diving clipper and an out of control flip stepping legover.

These peak experiences stayed true to their name and vanished,
and my last couple of runs before the Hunters left, were dominated
by a mindset far too greedy and stuck up to actually freestyle.
Thats when i try blur>diwalk in the circle, only to pass on the bag after
5 sad attempts, but every somehow has its place  .
I decided to drill all the stuff i wasnt hitting during the session after
they had left and finally managed to hit another 4>4, one that is really
a big deal for me, reeking with prestige and relief :
ATOMSMASHER>ATOMSMASHER :!:

It felt so natural and sorta just, when i hit that ; the new way of
approaching the more difficult combos - drilling its components
thoroughly and not trying it too often - really works for me.

I also managed to seal spinning legover to a run again. more ripwalks.

And literally in the last moment before my tram came to halt, i hit
Blur>Atomsmasher on the other side ("strong"blur>"flip"atom)
:D :D

Post away you Hunters, put your hardcorness on display 4 the world 2 see ! psst sidewalk bsos psst !

love

Ahh I'm really jealous of you guys going to Poland! I'd love to join you but instead I have to sit at the uni and write a stupid test about Produktionsplannung und Steuerung :? Nevermind we all will shred together again at the Suedlicht Festival! Where we are one of the official programm points :) And then auf nach Dortmund.
Zwecks yesterday I hit one new move I almost forgot, Double Switch over. I hope that's the one I did, stupid names ;) On my agenda for the next time is hitting pdx dlo more often (or at last once on my flip :)) and pixie out of almost every toe ending move Especially out of: Blur, DLO, Symp. Mirage, Eggbeater and Illiusion =) Should be possible.
Before I forget Beatrice also played really well yesterday. She hit Ripwalk bsos some sidewalks and did a run with 5-6 pixie moves in a row.
Now I'm going to change the filler of Beas Ilja bag.

woah good stuff everyone. Tear it up in Poland, Mike+Daryl, willya!

Today I came very close to Paradox Drifter (in full work clothing, i.e.
Blaumann, and WITH bag), and on my strong clipper side. I think I have hit the
move 1 or 2 times before, but only from weak clipper.

3 more to go!
After todays test (wich was quite easy :P) I still have to write bookkeeping and accounting, materials paper and ink and Quality Managment. After that I'm going to play footbag everyday! :) Btw. here's a picture of the Ilja bag + the filler I took out. Instead I put some copper globes in it.

13. July 2005
I'm just back from a nice one hour session on a sidewalk close to my place. The session was pretty good for a solo one. I didn't do any runs (I should start doing runs even if I play by my own!!!) and started with kicks fro warming up I got 126 8) Now it's your turn Daryl :D On my first attempt I did 114 again > drop grrr but I started once more. ~50 just of those funny toe flips or however we call them. And on the third try I got the new record 125 > 126 > shrubbery ;) Then I finally broke my old alternating clipper record of 35 and set it to 42. I want to get as high as maybe 60 - 70 this summer. Then I did 24 Butterflies I could have gone longer but on my 23rd a girl walked by, I didn't notice her before, and said: "Oh very nice!" and I just had a quick look and thought: "mhhh she's hot" ;) then I dropped :? It was just like in a stupid movie.
After warming up I tried some Pixie combos, they worked fairly good. Smear > Pixie ss Mirage > Smear both sides and plo (strong) > magellan 3x (flip). Dimwalk > DLO. PLO > PLO 6x buhh my record is 12 and I want it to be at least 20! I totally want to get my pixie more solid!
Then I switched to my new concept PARADON. I did a couple in front of camera so that I can check if the dexes are clean. My left foot kinda lacks behind when it comes to the double movement. I in particular have problems to jump of my left leg and start the dex with it. So I drilled some "jumpy style Legovers" on that side. Hopefully my flipside catches up pretty soon, cause I hate having a concept down on one side and struggling to do it one the other. I'm becoming really obsessed with having a flipside 8O
Note: Drill some Drifters next time! Go for 20 contacts guiltless runs!

I played alittle bit in the open air bath next to my place. Btw. it's so cool to have an bath so close to your house :)
11 x Whirl but only 5 on the other side and 6 x Smear filpside. Now my flipside record is higher than the one on my good side  But doing Pixie after a Smear is a great way to improve my set. Then I did Dimwalk > DLO > Dimwalk > DLO on both sides and Ripwalk > DLO bsos.

18th July 2005

Session with Bea and Max on the sidewalk.

I can play! I hardly felt my injuries this time, but still I didn't push
too hard. Max hit some good combos, Bea quit soon after I arrived,
but Max and me played through until the weather was really bad -
it was raining like mad and it was stormy as shit, but still we played.
There were two kids who stayed with us and practiced barefeet toe stalls.

Here's what I hit:

New 4-4 link:
Ducking Osis>Torque
>far legover>butter>pdx mirage>pixie legover>flip pixie drop YAY! Finally.

Osis>Torque midrun

Magellan>Pixie Legover>Pixie Legover (Wow, some flip pixie from me!)

Paradox Drifter (from strong clipper - for the first time!!)

and a new 5 add:

Pixie Symposium Reverse Whirl

I also had Ducking Clipper>Far symp reverse whirl roll off my foot
(not sure, could be that I've hit it though - Max?)

What a session! My runs were decent, I hit some new stuff, my infinities
and Osises were smooth as well - felt good.

Can't wait to hear some Euros reports! (And some footage, Mike??)
