............so much mookeyness.

UNITY, fools!

....oh, and by the way. Wouldn't it be better to bid for World's on it's 30th, so like Vegas first's could be a triple X (roman numerals). Although it would be 2009, so yeah.

I'm trying to keep peace here, IT AIN'T WORKING!

Just remember, I love you all. :D

Loren and Ben, you two need to stop argueing about a whole lot of stuff which is'nt important right now. You are past the stage of discussion and have sunk so low as personal attacks. Neither of you are listening to one another anymore and you need to stop the situation NOW as you are not achiving anything.

Ok there are the facts. Now for my opinion. The issue at hand is the division of the club, which will happen if you don't agree on a shred spot.

I think the idea to shred at someones house on the other side of town is incensitive to Travis and Loren. I don't know what the public transport system is like in Las Vagas but perhaps you should all take a serious look at it.
I read Ben's reasons for shifting the shred spot, and all of them sound pretty stupid to be honest, apart from the gas one. Driving for an hour to shred for a few hours is difficult, but I believe that option is better than leaving people out.
There are other possibilities I'm sure, Las Vagas is a massive city, there must be other locations you can shred. Is there somewhere that is'nt 30 mins away from where Ben etc. lives and Trav n Loren can catch a $2 bus too and from?

If you guys don't stop argueing and just drop all these extra issues you have with eachother for a minute, then the club will be devided or even worse friendships lost. That would be a very unfortunate event.

Please listen to me, I really don't want to see the club that could be holding worlds 2007 broken because of petty arguements.

ok heres how vegas is structured, there is steves bens and my house on one side of town. Then you have his side of town. so 30 minute drive, with nothing inbetween except the strip which is very close to his side and freeway. I have thought of one spot and it is a very good idea, i believe its equidistance between unlv and West las vegas. YMCA on meadows lane. Why not?

yea, i dont see why everyone except loren have to put effort and money into coming to footbag every week whereas he just walks across the street. Then when we try and change it for 1 week! this shit happens, because he cant put the same effort we do into coming to our side of town to shred. Whereas ben has for a year and a half, i have for 3 months. And others for a certain amount of time. Now with gas prices escalating its starting to become rediculous. Its costing me 25 bucks every saturday to go to unlv.[/u]

professor wrote:We just wanted to shred over here for once. We've played at UNLV, which is right next to Loren's house, I mean right across the street, soo many times. All of us have to drive/get a ride there so we were thinking why not one Saturday, just one planned, we could have it by us since there are many of us who live on the northwest side. I don't know why it was such a big deal at all. The club has been driving down to UNLV for many months now and I just wanted once for it to be over on this side of town. I'm sorry if that's too much to ask.
Why? Because some of your members cannot get there.
Ben, your a great guy and I have great respect for you as a believer, but I think you need to realise that it is not fair to exclude some people simply because they don't live near you. Sure it is difficult for you to get over to UNLV but it is impossible for Loren and Travis to get over to your side, there is a difference there.
If your going to change the shred spot just like that, you need to talk it over with everyone, not just go ahead and do it. How would you like it if the club decided to have the shred somewhere you couldent get too? Without talking to you about it first? You would feel left out and insulted that your friends are pretty much ditching you.

ok, weve talked it over for a week and a 1/2 now. They can find transportation, when i didnt have a license i did whatever i could to get a ride to unlv on saturdays. And now i do, and its costing me a fortune just to get there on saturdays. I dont see why, just for once that they put the same effort as i did finding a ride to come to our side. And its not impossible for either of them. Hell once i worked until 3 and i found myself a ride to play for the last hour that they were there. Effort is all it takes.

Is this the place to get into this arguement? There is a PM button... I don't think the blogs should be polluted with this sort of negativity. This sounds like a personal matter between you two, Ben and Lauren.

I'm going to try not to take sides, but here we go...

1) NO ONE in this footbag club is ungrateful. Remember how the zombies began. Had it not been for Taber, I doubt any of us would be at this level.

2) I look at the both of you as good friends. Even the best of friends won't agree on some things. A disagreement on a couple of verses from the scriptures blossomed into (from what I can gather) who owes who in footbag? No, fuck that, that's not what we are here for.

3)As far as I knew, there were two shred spots, and an infinite number of kicking spots. Who cares? Drop your shit off, start shreding, kicking, whatever. Leave politics, religion, and most other things outside the shred/kick/whatever areas. When I go to the mettings on saturdays, it is a time to kick back, relax, and bullshit with people I dont' see often. I'm sure there are others that feel the same, so offer that courtesy.

This arguement should at least be in discussions, and at most in PM's. The blogs were a place for individuals to express their footbag achievements, get props, and be challenged. Do not disrespect my hometown by setting poor examples of how we act.

that said, Ben, I appologize for polluting your blog.

Bravo John, I think you just nailed it :)
I wrote this somewhere else, but this discussion is everywhere:
You guys may not realise this but a forum is a very bad place to discuss the problems you have with your club. All kinds of miscommunication is happening in this thread and others and it is not helping your situation at all. You all need to get together, or make some phone calls, and discuss this directly together. Not over a forum.

I too, am sorry Ben for poluting your blog!

Today I went over to Jeff's house and played with him and John. John. got 5 ss butterflys in a row...it was sweet. I wasn't doing so well.

My hip was fine until I tried a sidewalk. That killed my hip. It is sore now, but not as bad as before. My form did not feel good today, maybe it was because I hadn't played in 3 days. I hate having to rest things. Oh well, I might play tomorrow, who knows.

ok, this mess can totally move out of your blog...and I had a really good talk with steve so things should be settled saturday.

Peace,
Bum

So I definitely didn't shred with Jeff, John, Mark, and my girlfriend Kaitlyn today. I most definitely wasn't shredding off the hook even for my flipside. On thing I wasn't doing was hitting flipside Whirlwind like it was child's play. Also I wasn't having an awesome time.

So, basically I did nothing tonight, just thought you'd like to know that. :D

Today was pretty fun. I played freestyle for around 2 hours then went and played net for an hour then back to freestyle for a few more hours. I was doing pretty darn good today. I think I am going to become right sideways instead of right bigfoot. My flipside clipper is so good now. I hit one run with 2 whirlwinds and they were controlled cause I did stuff out of them. I hit some other sick runs, one of which had an eggbeater > inspinning pdx mirage or something to that effect.

I found out that the best thing in the world while you have a session is Gatorade slushies. I froze my favorite flavor of any sports drink, Riptide Rush from Gatorade, then about midway through the session my girlfriend started shaking the ice to break it up and it turned into a slushy. It was one of the best things I've had and I still got the good stuff I get from Gatorade. I was addicted to it.

Also, I'm VERY excited and so will Nic and possibly some of my fellow club members.

Today my parents got a top of the line digital camcorder!

It does EVERYTHING. And when I say everything, I mean it. It takes digital video, pictures, and it even can be used for a web cam! Another awesome feature is that it has a remote that comes with it, so I can be lazy and turn it off while I'm filming footbag without going over to the camera. It's so tiny too, it is awesome!

The web cam has some significance because I was talking today about having club battles. Like where one club from one place would have a freestyle battle with another club. Well I was only thinking about at competitions, but Loren came up with the idea that we could set up a web cam and broadcast live the battle so you could have a live battle with people around the world. It might be wishful thinking, but how cool would that be? I'll tell you...TOO COOL!

Oh well, so good day today, peace out.
