Byrin Wylie - The Last Shred

Post by B_Man »

Size - 23.25 megs
Length - 4:24

Song: Wumpscut - Angel

The Last Shred

Created with Windows Movie Maker!

I was hoping to achieve a peaceful yet powerful effect through with the slow motions and video transitions. Any comments regarding this would be very much appreciated!!

Enjoy :)

Awesome video Byrin! Really impressive :). You've come such a long way since the days when you could hit a big move but not string anything. Really impressive and still hitting big tricks too!!

Great editing - I really love the style of this video.

Thanks :D

Yeah the pixie drill, and the rubberman extension was sweet. Pdx drifter>pdx whirl repeat (or was it other way around ) was rad.

I would have loved this video had there been different music and not in slomo. I just liked it because i didnt like the music, and the slo mo made the video quality worse

Yeah, I really enjoyed that Byrin. I really did.

I actually liked the slow-motion. It was chill, yet epic. I think it was quite effective.

Come back to Canada soon...I think your return will actually coincide with my own return to shred. :)

Man, you've improved vastly since last time I saw a shred video of you. Remember the days' when you, me, and Conrad made videos? We sucked! HEHE...now, I still suck, and you're AWESOME!

All your tricks look insane. I can't beleive your atomics, and your pixies either. I remember when you used to go "i can't atomic and I can't pixie". Well...haha, there you go. Can pixie and atomic like nothing!

Crazy. Props :)

I really like your style, Byrin.

Since you asked for feedback on the editing, here are my thoughts:
I liked the slow-mo and fading for transitions initially, but had hoped the song would pick up and break into rock or something more violent and ragged, so that you could cut straight into shred and have some of those bad-ass strings really accentuated in the other direction. This was my mistake, given the song doesn't do that. All the same, it would have made the video a 9 or 10 out of 10 for me, instead of an 8 (which is still good :) ). I'm not trying to be condescending or anything... I did really like the video. But I think the other way, for me at least, would have squeezed a bit more awesome into the awesome pile of awesomeness that you already had.
