That wouldn't be triple torque though, it would be a triple dex torque, or triaging osis...or tree oak (trioque - barroque) . But not a triple torque, IMO.

this is the 44 Wand, the most powerful Handwand in the world, so did i fire 5 or 6 fireballs? now you got to ask yourself one question pal, do i feel lucky? well do ya punk.

Ok here goes:
Torque = Miraging osis
Barroque = Barraging osis = double dexing torque <=> double torque
Tree Oak = Triaging osis = triple dexing torque <=> triple torque
Blunt question time, if saying triple torque doesn't imply triaging osis (oak tree or whatever) what the hell else would it imply?
Incidently a barraging torque would be a crispy tree oak and not a barroque.
Back on the topic triple barfly makes perfect sense:
Double Over Down = toe same double dex butterfly
Triple Over Down = toe same triple dex butterfly
Paradon = toe op double dex butterfly
Triptodon = toe op triple dex butterfly
Down Double Down = clip ss double dex butterfly
Down Triple Down = clip ss triple dex butterfly (has this been hit?)
Barfly = double dex infinity
Triple Barfly = triple dex infinity
To my mind trifly could imply any of the above triple flys, so triple barfly like triple over down is a very good unambiguous name.

Backing up Richard here. You would need to be pretty retarded to not know what a tripple barfly is. Sorry to all the retards out there. But a 6 dex barfly? Come on now, think about it.
Re: baroque.. barraging torque is a bad description. People should describe it as barraging osis, or double dexing torque, or whatever... but not barraging torque.
Liam out.

well, you know how there are more than one names for alot of tricks?
i think TrIfly is much better than tripple barfly, cuz like Quontom said, there isn't a double barfly.
i think tripple bar fly is mis leading, and a bad description for it. people almost ALWAYS get the wrong iday, where as Trifly. . . pretty self explatintor, i think. so has anyone actually ASKED ales yet?
less talk more DO!

**I wrote this last night but my comp crashed so I didn't get post it then, so here it is half a day later, and it is still accurate of my opinion**
triple dex + barfly motion = triple barfly
It captures the fact that there is a triple dex and that the movement is basically a barfly (there I go again with the belittling of the moves basically a barfly
). If we were going to be somewhat consistant then trinity would be the more correct term for the move (and definitely appropriate, because I know I was like "holy shit" when I first saw that one
)
Erik's right also about the trixie - triple terrage, triple datw - tatw, but with those examples there is a base move which can only really be done in one set way (pixie has to be set off one foot dexed in-out and caught on the other foot, and atw has to be set, dexed, and caught all on the same foot). Where as butterfly can be performed in 4 base ways toe same/op and clip same/op, and so if we were to call a move a triple butterfly we could be talking about any of 4 possible moves which are triple flys (tod, triptodon, "triple dex barfly", or "down triple down"), and so triple barfly helps to reduce any possible confusion as to where the move is set from and how it's performed.
In short butterfly is one move, which mucks up any nice tidy naming conventions, and anything else orderly that we can come up with
When all is said and done in the end Brian's right, Ales hit the thing so he gets to name it.
**just had to add this in** quote slacker "less talk more DO!" another quote, pot calling the kettle black, don't you think

I can see where you're coming from Sam, I guess it just makes sense to me:QuantumBalance wrote:why did you skip double barfly? cause that would be inconsistent.. which triple barfly is
