So I broke my fearless record and got 7... not too bad, it was a pretty cool 7 though:

Alpha toe blur> merlin> witchdoctor>pixie barrage> phoenix > matador >sumo >ducking double drop...

It was a great Saturday, Evan came, it was sick, there'll be a tape. And I'm glad Brian (MJK) is back too.

Little party sessions with Kalie and Brian today...

Peace all,
Bum

MTV was totally awesome (3 clips on the air) 8)

dude!?! Las Vegas? Which hacker dude are you? whose friend? I'm so happy there's so many Vegas people foruming, just wait til the end of summer! Thanks a lot man, you can be that good too, just come every saturday, set regular practice time, and have a list of all your stuff that you do at the beginning of every session and add to the list every week.

I'm working on the footage.

So, Nick asked me if I'd ever invented a trick, so I said "Sure, a bunch, and that's nothing easy", and he asked to see one. After I told him he'd seen them all a bunch already, I told him I'd make up a trick right there for him, and proceeded to hit

sailing same side butterfly cross body rake (Look how long that name is)

Other than that, been playing a good bit, but have probably been doing too much TaiKwonDO...it's really giving me a workout at this point because I'm trying to out perform the blackbelts...silly footbag ego. Its hard to have energy to train...just show off and then I get warmed up and practice a little.

I'm working on my osises a lot finally (finally getting happy with the level of my dex game) and got 12 back to back after I couldn't get more than 6 the previous day. Soon I'm going to stea-yle from Randy Magliocca and go mobius mad. That will be a great addition to my game. Hopefully I have those and flip ps whirls really strong within the month.

I'll be around more...I wasn't posting to much for a couple days because I got a new roommate ( 8O :!: ) and we've been taking care of the house. He's only a hacker at the moment, but he might go shredder soon, he likes fitness and stuff, and is one of those tokers whose pretty much grown out of it and is slowing towards quitting...so he fits the footbag scene, but isn't too lazy...pretty cool.

This year has been absolutely excellent aside from about 3 weeks in april and a couple days 2 weeks ago. Lately everything has been as good as it gets, except for money. Now with the roommate and the job starting soon, that will be taken care of as well, and between that and the positive effect his presence has on my house, I'm welcoming him happily and enjoying every minute.

Be back soon; come play with me shredders!

Peace,
Bum

I began to dabble in the magical game of hackysack in the fall of 2000, and after of year of mastering kicks and stalls, I found .org and began my freestyle career (sept of 2001, so almost 4 years). Compared to the new generation I'm not that good for the amount of time I've been playing, but come World's 06 there won't be a shredder around who don't know who Loren the Footbagging B(a)um is.

Sorry for my absence everyone, and also sorry to see my blog on page two, I swore I wouldn't let that happen again. I've been playing a shitload of footbag and went out of town to Sedona Arizona to see the Vortexs for four days. We climbed mountains, camped by a stream, spent tons of time at this Buddhist Temple, and I spent way to much money on the magical books they have on philosophy and spirituality...not to mention my new crystals. Anyway, it was a spectacular journey, and I may mention more later, but after 3 hours of catch up posting and I don't have time for two many details. Still gotta watch the Jorden, Felix, And Claven's vids too.

Anyway, yesterday we went to RED WHITE AND BOOM, one of our only outdoor concerts or the year, and we represented hardcore as always. Me, Steve, Andrew, Jeff, Emanual, Sarah, and Angel were there, and we got at least 2 new hackers interested. And I sold 4 footbags :-) And I thought I had a spot on the local news, I did a terrific run for the camera, and even plugged the club meetings, but it sadly did not air :-(

Anyway, everything in my life is beyond any word we have for excellent in the English language lately. Since Sedona I've been in a perpetual state of extacy, and I am happy to announce that after my stupid month and a half derailment for Kalie, I am finally once and for all DONE SMOKING POT FOREVER. I am very sorry to my many toky footbag friends that I will not be able to share in that aspect of the game with you any longer, especially idols like Irish, Penske, and Vasek, among many many others, but trust me, I have more reasons for this than any of you can fathom. Plus, I don't care who you are...you could be Snoop Dog reading this...I promise that I smoked more of the best weed in the World than any of you could have possibly, for years, all for free too, and I have gained everything I can from the magical god given substance. I encourage anyone who's never done it to try it once or twice, but I urge all of you (especially the potheads) to take a good look at the impact it has had on your life and your game and tell me that you couldn't imagine yourself better than you currently are in many ways. Anyway, I would like to leave this topic behind forever (at least in my blog) with this post, and wish all of you the best of luck in using it only for its good purposes until you may one day transcend it as I have. I am also permanently swearing off the use of any alcohol, caffiene, or tobacco (which pretty much means hookah since I would never smoke a cig). I urge any of you reading this to join with me in these important body purifying tasks, but will never look down on any of you who go off to take a toke at a tourney. :-)

I'll be posting more soon, but good night for now, and my love goes out to all of you out in footbag land. One day we will look back and know we have made a contribution to the world by helping to pave the way for this magical sport we call footbag.

PEACE, for ALL OF MANKIND,
Bum

Thanks Travis, glad to see the spark of enthusiasm back to bright in ya :-)

Today I had mini session with Brian, more of an extended warm up with a run around in between, but I got some good work in on ps whirl and mobius...hopefully using them in runs will be causing less droppage very soon.

Nothing much else footbag wise, had probably my strongest solo yoga session so far today though, and the last of the germs and gunk in my throat from being sick in sedona are passing. I should be back at 110% tomorrow. Hopefully one of these shredders will hit me up for a session...  :D

Peace for now,
Bum

Life is a state of continual extacy and could not be better.

Health = 110%

I've been playing enough to get better, but not as much as I would like for I have been busy with so many other pursuits. I want to be posting more, and checking on all my students and friends blogs, and am probably behind on some videos, so please forgive me if I am missing anything important going on. I think I will have time to catch up with the next two days. And I should have a session with Evan if things go right.

Anyway, may all sentient beings be free from suffering and live in happiness.

Peace,
Bum

I may edit it...but 2 out of 3 of them I know wouldn't care...maybe the elder would...they all kinda do it right there though...

footbag is making me really sad. If you read my blog, please read the Vegas Session's and the Ben Who footblogs and help me save my club. I don't know what else to say except that I wish I had the stamina to play tripless by myself...

I don't know what to do

Peace...please,
Bum

I think we ALL everyone of us IN PERSON need to sit down and talk about this, CALMLY without any fighting and yelling, But dood you never need to session alone!! Im up to session with you anytime! I know im not guiltless but atleast you would have someone to kick with!! And thanks for helping me through all this, I hope things get better for you man!

Hey man, if anything, you could all take up street fighting. At least for one session.

How's the progress on Worlds 2007 Las Vegas going? I don't know anything about the procedure but I'm interested to learn about it.

Ahhh, the beautiful feeling of issues settled and the return to my heightened state of existence and bliss. How nice 8) . And such quick resolution too.

@ Wilder: First of all, thanks for sticking up for me before...I needed one of the other top ten posters whose known me forever to say something, and you chimed in perfectly. I hope we eventually get to play together. In regard to the question about worlds, I have talked to Steve Goldberg about it, have put together a large list of great reasons for me to be allowed to host it here, and although I still have to fill out the official form (which I would have already if not for a glitch in the .org system), I have a good portion of the committee who the form needs to be presented to in my pocket....so odds look good. I just need to talk my rich old guy friend into sponsoring both a portion of the tourney and my living costs while I spend all my non-school time working on it. But, have no doubt that if I do get the go ahead, it will be the biggest and best World Championships in North American history... I don't know if I can compete with the Euro's though...they have such a HUGE scene with such easy transportation and hotel costs...but anyway, here's to hoping.

Peace guys, and expect this to go back to being an actual footblog as opposed to a drama journal very soon. Oh, and good luck to Claven's on his presentation today :-)

you're pissing me off a little buddy, if it was all about me I could just school and play with Evan whenever I can and get better as fast as I can but I don't.

and at the same after talking to Emily a bunch I know where you're coming from more and am less mad...but I still don't like some of the deragatoryness...

But I am too tyrnanical and bossy-me centered   sorry guys...have to ask rather than tell, wait rather than impose, recognize differences in goals...not everybody wants to be the most insane shredder in the smallest amount of time...fun is fun in it's own right...different kinds of fun are more fun for different people...

"You can't show someone something positive in a negative way" and expect it to be recieved in the positive light...

I hope everything gets better...I will be acting differently...though I do stick by all the stuff I said about the MAIN meeting needing to be central and public...and would really prefer not to have people come and find the spot empty on Saturday.

Peace,
Bum
