legover - uptime or downtime?

Post by CheeseMan »

i've been doing my legover on the uptime, but i see most people do it on the downtime. is it ok for me to keep doing the legover in the uptime, or should i try to get it downtime as quick as possible. thanks

im going to tell you to opt for #3 (not continuing to do them uptime forever but not rushing to do them downtime)

the reason being that if you rush into doing them downtime youll have hella drops for a while because its like learning a new move, but when you school them uptime, youll eventually be doing them so fast that you can hold off on the dex for longer and longer. eventually youll be able to do them totally downtime, and then ultimately doing sets into them.

Yeah, for me i used to do my legovers uptime and leggy and after lots of doing it over and over i could eventually do it downtime and hippy.

So with more experience youll be able to do it downtime unless you prefer uptime

you can like uptime all you want, but if you want to say hit an atomic op legover, you have to split the uptime element from the downtime element, so eventually you will be doing your legovers downtime.

Doing UPTIME leg overs will help in things like uptime illusion and it will teach you to "Switch" feet fast. This helps for double switch over etc.

Doing downtime will help in downtime illusion, pdx illusion and blizzard (although this is done peaktime).

I think being able to do both is important. Uptime will help you strongly for paradons and atomic set, but downtime will also help you

doing them uptime is really the first step to atomic sets too. once you get them very well uptime, you can just do the motion slightly faster, plant faster and you'll have a great atomic set.
