Wet bags.

Post by Xain »

I've found that when I get my bags wet(foot fighter, new abshire) they are easier to stall without any other qualitys suffering(besides maybe wieght)

does anyone else like to play with wet bags?

its not a very good idea to play with a wet bag , it will deffenetly not last as long , it may play better but will last less , break in the bag and it will play the same and last longer so ehich one would you rather have ? A wet bag that lasts half as less and plays good or a broken in bag that lasts even longer and plays good also?

I was playing in the rain and I didnt mind the wet bag thing.. except... I had to keep ringing it out because it'd puff up filled with water and unfortunately the bag I was playing with has rocks in it and its a semi older bag so the smaller bits came out and stuck all over me. The sand bag I had was even worse.

I learned my lesson

I remember reading on the freestyle.org list a few years back that people would wipe their forehead sweat on their bag to help break it in.

According to me, wet bags suck! I had to quit my sessions because the stupid rain got them wet. I couldn't control them worth crap.

I think that damp bags can play great. the stalls are improved, and its a great way to break in a nd play with a not quite broken in bag.

On the other hand, bags that are soaked to the core suck! They puff up with water and roll right off your foot.

I use my Abshire minis wet all the time. I haven't had any problems and I'm on my forth bag.

I assume no responsibility if your bag doesn't take kindly to water.

My mini got a little sweaty once and next thing I know, it's got holes all over it.

No way in hell I'd buy 4 of the things.. i regret having bought one :(

I have heard that playing with a wet bag causes the material to be much more eaisily damaged, which means you get holes earlier. I always properly dry my suderbag before using it, it has broken in fine within a few weeks with a few days finger rolling and maybe 4 or 5 washes.

my bags always get soaked in sweat :( like my lonn. we play with it a ton, and it gets completley soaked in our sweat. When it drops on the ground it leaves huge wet marks. But we can't help it :( its so hot here.

it does play nice slightly wet though.

I always used to play with wet bags.

I had no choice, if any of you know or have shredded with Aron "The Sprinkler" Tennant than you'll know what I'm talking about =P

i've played with wet bags when it's rainy out. I find that they stick extremely well. However, i am opposed to purposely wetting down bags before play.

I like playing with wet bags - I never train with them but occasionally when I'm shredding I'll wet the bag - it doesn't make a great deal of difference. Actually I only do it to bags that are already nearly dead - since often that means that they've lost a lot of weight and the water makes them heavier again. It does make your bag wear down quicker. I also sometimes do it with bags that need breaking in - because it makes it take quicker. Usually I just kick that bag though - I don't shred much with it (since shredding won't break the bag in as quickly)

I love playing in the rain. Mostly because I have waterproof bags. :P
Hehe. No amount of water/mud on my hacks will make them not work.

:D
