Sewing type?

Is there a certain/correct way bags are stitched? The bags I make always come out very wrinkled and stuff, but these other bags I've seen are completely smooth and barely any wrinkling, and perfect identical seams. Is it the amount of tension on the seam "loose tight" or is it just a type of stitch that is used?

there are a lot of reasons a bag wrinkles from what I gather. My most wrinkly problem is when I dont watch carefully the space between each stitch, because then when I gather. it gets pooy. You can man handle some wrinkles out though Ive learned recently.

Hmm, I keep my stitches pretty even, I guess it's mostly because I gather the seams like all hell...

1 inconsistent stitches
2 few stitches + lots of gather (relative to panel size)

those are the main two.
