Andrew Grant, July 2005

Post by Muffinman »

This footage is from two weeks ago, I think. It was taken from two sessions, where Andrew wasn't playing his best. I did mostly "tripod shooting", because I wanted to play more than film once I was actually out there, even though I didnt bring shorts specifically so that I wouldn't play. Thanks to Marita for filming a bunch too!! I would have finished this sooner, but my computer stopped working and I had to reformat, and I've been really busy, and I probably only got it done because I have been sick and called off work two days in a row so far. I have Erik (that's me!) and Derek sections too, but these are pretty weak and they're just a warmup to hopefully a better video I can make some time this summer. The tripod footage and lack of non-shred footage really messed me up and made me feel really confined in editing.
Anyway, here's the link:

8O SICK 8O

My favorite stuff was the rubberman variations, and all the 5>5's midstring. Paradox blenders midstring look awesome too. I won't spoil the last combo for anyone, but it totally blew me away!

Awesome vidoe Erik. Really great editing. Built up to a climax really well too! I love your editing.

Andrew goes hard which is great to see. Also has a cool style - looks very powerful. Reminds me of Ales a bit in his power - although completely different style.

The last combo was awesome!! Huge props on that!!

Mod Edit: I think everybody is trying to not reveal the last combo. If you want you can re-edit this post to show it if you like but I thought you probably would be happy not to have posted it if everybody else is doing the same - Jeremy. - Mystery Mod

Wow! Geez! Thanks for the comments guys!!
Any tips for the Muffinman and Vandallizer sections? All the footage of myself is crappy tripod and I don't have any closeups or ANYTHING. It's going to suck, but I want to put them all together. Maybe I will try really hard to not play at all and just film a lot next sessions.

Anyway...That was the first time I had really played with Andrew in ages...it was such a shock to see such insanity. Our Canada session was even CRAZIER, though:

Oh yeah, and I was having trouble with Premiere and the soundtrack kept skipping, so I managed to export with no skipping except a little just at the end. It's pretty noticable, but better than how it was skipping earlier.

Thanks again!!

Andrew-

SWEET! Really nice work!

You've evolved quite a lot since you were in Japan--much more technical links, stronger shuffle, longer runs, a lighter style. Looks like the Climacools are working great for you also--makes me want to try out a pair for myself. The rubberman variations were very nice also. Pretty soon you'll be giving Yves a run for his money!

Congratulations on that 6-6-6 combo! You've hit others haven't you?

Have a great summer!

the set on the fury is the, same with the second dex of the flurry. i'll work on those.
the best part of the video is how i make an ass of my self after hitting the beast by rolling my ankle in a divet between the cobble stones and falling on derek.
big thanks to erik for making the video!
