I would say an-a-may - short for animation.

AKira, Ghost In The Shell "not stand-alone complex that's stupid as hell", !NARUTO!, Ninja Scroll, Animatrix "you know the parts", Full Metal Panic "!NO ALCHEMIST, DOWN WITH ALCHEMIST GRRRR!", Cromarti High School, Azu Manga Dayo, Vampire Hunter D, Hellsing, Casshern....I've got like 15 more but I'd have to be submersed in Anime ONCE AGAIN...I'm not that into anime as I was before..but it's still a great on my list.

Speed Racer and Voltron are my favorite anime. I'm with ya Hood on the Lupin III that is a damn fine program.

Ghost in the Shell is nothing compared to the manga -- they completely leave out so much!! (Fuchikomas??...) Nausicaa is my favourite Miyazaki, too. Kiki's Delivery Service is the happiest movie in existence. I think Mononoke was the second highest grossing movie, after Titanic, in Japan -- at the time anyway.

Vampire Hunter D was a disappointment. I waited forever for the second one -- did it ever come out? I haven't watched anime for ever either. I have an import PSX game, and it's SOOOOO much more amazing than the movie!! I guess it was hyped up a lot. I wasn't a big fan of Akira either.

I haven't seen the Appleseed anime, but the manga is really intense. Everybody should read all of Masamune Shirow's mangas. Orion is my favourite -- I can never read it too many times. Dominion Tank Police was actually GREAT as an anime -- I loved it!

I watched some of Naruto and don't understand why everyone loves it so much. Maybe I need to watch more. I watched a bunch of the movie too, and had no desire to finish it :/

I love Pokemon!! The game, the anime, the manga... did anybody ever play Jade Cacoon for PSX? The animation is by Miyazaki -- I never played much, but I always wanted to. I think I have it too. HEY -- WHEN THE HECK DOES FINAL FANTASY ADVENT CHILDREN COME OUT????? IS IT OUT YET???????

Umm. An anime that always sticks out in my head is Spriggan -- it was really good. I also have the second GITS, but never watched it either...it looked so unlike the second manga and the first anime altogether. I'm not a fan of the second manga, actually...too much colour and CG over wonderful drawings.

I used to like, umm... I forget what it's called.
The Final Fantasy Legend of the Crystals was really really good, too! They made another, I think, but I remember being really turned off.

I used to watch a lot of Record of Lodoss War and Slayers and stuff. Slayers was kind of entertaining in that Dragonball Z sort of way...they always had a bigger spell!! Hey -- did anyone ever watch the original Dragonball anime?? That's such a great memory! So much better than Z.

I don't even read much manga now, but Blade of the Immortal is good. Oh My Goddess is amazing too -- I never watched the anime, though.
