Yeah I've heard this from a lot of people.

It's such a shame in many ways that the judges went with Vasek. Imagine the difference if the results had have been Felix>Honza>Vasek in the lead up to Worlds. Suddenly people would think "Wow Vasek really is beatable" and the ammount of pressure he'd suddenly have on himself to perform well.

I guess though at this stage it's hard for the judges with the lack of standards documents etc. and it sounds like they did a pretty good job considering how close the competition was.

It's obviously makes it harder to judge when you have certain expectations of a player and they perform below that mark while another player performs above that mark. Really you have to judge on in an objective manner and not let past performances or player expectations influence you at all. It's really impossible to know if that was done but the closeness of the results suggests that the judges did do a good job (since by all accounts it was close). Without having seen the routines yet - I'd really like it if one day judges started taking into account drops more. In my opinion drops should have the same significance as drops in gymnastics for routines - hence results of Honza>Felix>Vasek would have what I'd hope for. However I haven't seen the routines yet so my judgement doesn't really have a lot to base itself on.

vasek's finals routine really wasn't so good..
I hit some nice things at euros too:
Stepping mullet on tape
Ripped warior>ripped warrior
A run with bedwetter, fog and wet dream
far symple swirl>symple swirl>run>far symple rev. swirl>symple rev swirl>run

... And props to matt cross for his cool hat trick in shred30!

yeh IMO Felix was robbed, Vaska should have been 3rd. Theres more to it than that but its all i got time for.

IT would have been wicked to see Felix or Honza on top this year

Also i got shivers watching Tinas routine, it was so fucking good, i got the feeling i was witnessing like a turning point in Womens freestyle. She hit like some cool shuffle combos and stuff, good coerography and Pdx Whirl to PS Whirl to finish. The crowd went fucking nuts!

Tina actually ended on toe whirl>pdx whirl>ps whirl spot on the beat.

Euros was incredible.

I'm not sure, but someone told me that tina had played only half a year! And he hit ripwalk>sidewalk>rpt in the middle of her routine! That's what I call progress!

About vasek: I still think that he is the world's best footbag freestyle player. but that final routine wasn't so good. The first and the second routines were crazy! but not the last one.

tina's been playing 1 1/2 years.

and her routine was incredible! it was actually the first time i saw the last combo work and it was beautifull!

the best thing about it: it was a ROUTINE! A-Z. No freestyling in there and always a backup plan to bail into. With professional music cut by Switzerland's premiere female Hip Hop DJane, Mad Madam.

I wish more people would put as much effort into their routines as Tina and give us the shivers watching them.

I wonder how people can call Vaseks prelim rounds "routines" at all. They were simply 2min shreds at the highest level. Vasek using the first two rounds to show the world that he is indeed the best freestyler out there.

unfortunately he was not feeling well (i heard he had knee problems) and couldn't perform his true routine for the finals and had to bail to freestyling.

who of the trio vasek, honza or felix should have won would be disputable any which way the judges would have decided. it was a really close call.

Sounds good! So we're going to see at least one good ole routine in Worlds, right? I wish there were more where they came from, like Lon's Black & White, most of Peter Irish's routines, Greg Nelsons routines...you name it. For shred we have Shred 30...

Props to all finalists! When are we going to see more vids? And complete results?

damn one judge put me 2nd artistic in my pool, I kind of improvised the whole routine, I defenetly need to work harder for next year, and earn myself a better ranking
