Today I got rid of my toe box mod and laces my shoes regularly. I went back to the original lacing because my mom kept on NAGGING about how weird it looked lol. I tried it without the mod, and it's GREAT! I thought it'd be horrid on my toe stalls, but it actually helped me, plus I schooled the pixie set for the first time!! Is anyone like me? Not needing any mods? Lol

i dont mod my shoes just cuz i only have 1 pair and since it works really well for me this way. i might suck but atleast i get to keep my shoes. ehhehe

since i found my extra pair last week, i might mod them to see how it goes but i can stall as good as some ppl with toebox mods.

Yves Kriel busts LARGE sans mods.

try cutting the walls right off, its good for the same reason, but better. You will have a bigger area and no toe walls to fight with.

I think the toe walls look goofy too, and they don't help much.

Do what Tom said. I think most people cut the walls off nowadays; mine has the bottom 2 lacing holes removed and it is laced up normally. Works great and looks good.

Then again, if toe stalls are working fine without any modification, then there's no reason to change anything. Just keep doing what is working for you.

I do exactly the same as Chris - cut off the last two holes and lace up normally. I prefer normal lacing as it makes the shoes feel tighter and I like that.

I don't usually mod my shoes but lately I have been - I didn't think I'd be able to pixie and faerie with them but it's made them stronger actually. Without mods now my sets are huge and effortless just from a couple daysof using the "toe box".. Much easier to string with it.

Come winter I will probably cut the bottom two eyelets off since i won't be able to walk around in Lavers anyhow.

I might cut off the extra lacing holes, I still kinda need a bigger toe area lol.
Alot of the time it lands directly on my laces...or maybe it's just because I haven't schooled my toe stalls enough.

yeah, i dont mod my shoes because I only have the lether lavers. I think mod. lavers look kinda lame..

But hey, whatever works!!

First I was a bit erm...uncertain whether modding my (mesh) lavers or not...But because a lot of people suggested doing it I went for cutting out the inner canvas...I took me about 3-4 hours because I am technically not very gifted

...In the end I tried them on and I was overwhelmed...They are soo soft and you feel the bag the moment it touches the inside...Really recommend that one...

First I didn't do the toe mod (I only cut them off so the lacing mod was useful)...But after a few days I did the toe canvas mod too and I slowly got better at modding so it took me (only) about 2 hours...To my great surprise it was really really worth it...Not only that the shoes have become a bit more lightweight, I also feel the bag a lot better...

Now having a pair of completly modded lavers (ok I left the outside intact but I don't like outside stalls because I think they are not stylish and dragon tricks are a mystery to me so I skipped another hour of work

) I really have to admit that it is worth doing those mods...The shoes are more like a pair of socks and I can do the toe stall without even looking what I do

...I really advise everyone with lavers to do them...You won't regret it believe me
