"Life" for beings: The matter at hand, life is to live.. that is it's purpose.

"Life" for one's self: Purpose is subjective. Define the object of which you strive for, your affect or result that is intended or desired. Then, and only then, will you know the purpose to your life, and only yours.

My personal strived object is happiness. Certain ways to think and certains things I see and do make me happy. Therefore paving me a purpose through life.
