testing out the 'ol knees

Post by Sporatical_Distractions »

I've been injured for a couple weeks and tested out the knees yesterday with some low impact moves and threw it together into a video with some old footage of individual moves such as:
whirr,
stepping inspinning toe,
whirling dyno,
and the first time i ever ducked a fairy
(hence the expression)

this vid is nothing too exciting because I can't shred as hard as I can but here ya go:

testing the 'ol Knees

sorry for the size. this is the first video i've put together entirely on my own.
i believe it's about 17MBs

edit: comments are strongly encouraged

Nice work on the vid, Kevin. From what you told me last night about it, I thought it would be lame. :o Just kidding. Hopefully your knees will be in top shape in a month.

Remember the Safety Dance video on Beavis and Butt-Head?

Butt-Head: "Uh...it's like these guys keep saying they can dance, but they can't, uh huh huh."
Beavis: "Yeah, hm hm, they should go to a Pantera concert."

Nice to see a video of you. :) It looks like you've calmed your style down quite a bit. I can't wait until you can spin more comfortably.

thanks sam! the ps whirl and double overs are things that I definitely should not have tried. enough of those leave the knees hurting. luckily i didn't try many.

I can't wait till I can spin comfortably either. spins are now my favorite part of footbag for sure. they still need ridiculous drilling though.

Nice Kevin!!
You have a really solid style. You're really stationary and it makes your tricks look easy, but not in that "it looks so easy, it's boring, even though they're huge tricks" sort of way, you know? I guess you have a ton of control. At parts you actually really remind me of Flash -- maybe it's the loose wrists...or something. I guess that's a really compliment in any case, though ;)
Props on those moves!!
THE FAIRY DUCKING BUTTERFLY WAS CLEAN!!!! SOOOO many people have a really weak, thin, non-existant fairy set. Yours in this move was comparable to Andrew Grant -- 100% CLEAN!!! PROPS!!! Fairy hurts my knees...clean fairy ducking...so big!

All good shit, man. We should try to get footage of everybody up on the website. That would be neat.

Oh, and in other words, I've got a fractured tibia.

have a fractured tibia, or have had for years and years. I don't understand how you can walk on it, shred on it, hike on it, and build slash piles on it. crazy
