Arms are extremly important. I really think that arms can make or break someone's style. If you don't have control over your arms when you freestyle, it really looks like you're just spazing out. I think if we want footbag to be respected by the mainstream we need to look at how the entire body moves, not just how our legs circle the bag.

i really think that it is a form of pupettering.
people, that have tricks dialed, ALWAYS do the same thing with their arms.
like look at kenny, on TToT 1, when he does a head stall, watch his hands! its kinda funny, but i must admit, i do the same thing.
i agree with zerb (go figure) in really everthing he said!
i wonder if there are any amless hackers?!?!
thatd be cool!

I hear that, Zerbe. Spazziness can make footbag look real ugly. It's hard to avoid though, for most people, as the arms like to mimic the legs. Ever seen Chad's cute little hand double dexing when he hits scorpion's tail sometimes?Zerbalicious wrote:Arms are extremly important. I really think that arms can make or break someone's style. Man, I remember first seeing Sunil shredding. He had some awful arm spazzing... particularly a couple of years ago (anyone remember his quantum eggbeater from the CSS2 video? yowza

For the longest time I couldn't hit any clean drifters on my flipside. Yesterday I tried schooling them again and I started to pay attention to my arms and how they move when I do drifters on my strong side. Once I started doing the same arm movements on my flipside drifters, they became a lot more natural. From now on when I'm schooling new tricks I'm gonna pay more attention how other players move their arms.

when I first started I looked liked I was doing the crane kick from the kirate kid. now not at all and I can play with my hands behind my back can't pull moves but can kick it about easily. wait what am I saying I can't pull anthing off even with my hands not behind my back
hmm.. of course these are my opinions-likely to be just as flawed as anyone else's. um, really I guess you should assume everyone's speaking out of some external influence. Belive in whatever makes sense to you.:JTHM

It is really rude to talk about people's syles in a way that might be construed as negative. (i.e. the word awful)Liam wrote:Man, I remember first seeing Sunil shredding. But yeah, it's not as bad nowadays.
Sunil has pushed the envelope of modern freestyle aruguably more than any other player. There is no person in the world that can hit some of the moves he has hit. Although he and I don't always see eye to eye on certain things, I have a great deal of respect for Sunil and the dedication he has to our sport. I know you don't mean any disrespect toward Sunil but please watch what you say.
Thanks
