Jamo's Footblog

Post by Jamo »

Well,
It all started about a week ago :)
My dad went to las vegas for a week and brought me back a crocheted footbag. This was about a year ago. I picked it up about a week ago and havent put it down since. Since then bought a few proper footbags and played with them finding them a lot easier to deal with.
Now, i can keep it up for 5 kicks, yes that right people, no stalls no adds no flip around spinning crouching tiger hidden kick flying cannonball dex etc etc.
Just 5 times
Will keep you posted when i get to 6.

Go for ten!

And welcome to the forums.

For the flip around spinning crouching tiger hidden kick flying cannonball dex I find it helps to scrunch your toes a bit and think about Buffy the vampire slayer. if you have any green apple lollipops that may help to hit it if you have them in the room with you too.

Good luck!

I can do a clipper (if a clipper is kicking the bag with the inside of your foot behind the other leg)

I challenge you to do an ATW, I assume you know what that is but just in case, you do a toe stall kick it up spin your foot around it and stall it again.
TIP: you may feel like your foot is retarded at first but it will come around.

bag will leave on monday - I guess you can shred with it for the first time on thursday.

I will add an atw in the envelope !

When you can do alternating toe stalls with both feet than it should be possible to do a legover in some time .

One great tip to me was that you should always lean over the bag!
Moreover many players tend to set the bag too high at first .

Good luck !

Hey Jamie,
I found ATW much easier than clippers.
It took me like 6 weeks to clipper properly, but a couple of days to atw both sides. Moral of the story - practice both.

Yeah dude, rodimius knows what he's talking about and should join Sack-Religious, I still have trouble with clippers ATW involve absolutely no clipper skill and are easier so you might get less frusterated if you start with the ATW, plus they're the basis for like every move.

Got back from holiday...did absolutely no shredding on holiday due to the 45*C i probably would have melted if i tried.
Just doing general kicking when i can at the moment. Got a pair of lavers on the way after cancelling my last pair because the seller was an idiot.

Had a half an hour session just now. Didnt do much was just schooling my kicks and stalls to boost my over all control of the bag. Going to mod my lavers when i get in tonight and my bag now needs washing too.

Just finished modding my lavers. They look shit now but they seem good to kick in, will check them out properly tommorow.
Cut the inside mesh off of the toe area, and cut the first two ringlets off to create a bigger toe space.
Like i said they look shit, but im hardcore now
