What comes next?
What comes next?
Let's face it, footbag can't last forever. As we (I) get older, the physical stresses on the body become more and more difficult to recover from on a daily basis. So some day it will come to an end. For me, perhaps sooner than I had hoped.
I have recently found Flare Bartending and I'm extremely motivated toward it. It hurts a lot less than freestyle these days.
Today I have the day off for the first time in a long time and I'm torn with the decision to kick or to flare. That's the first time such a thing has ever happened to me. The decision has ALWAYS been to kick. However, I feel that my physical limitations have placed a cap on footbag while Flare is now open ended for me.
I'm getting ahead of myself.
When footbag is over for you, what will you do? Do you know yet, or is it too soon?

Old Skool
When i am too old and dead to play footbag, i will just organize footbag events. Stitch footbags, make shoes, eat, sleep, do something else, maybe play some video games, probably wont play footbag because im "too old and dead to play footbag"
pretty much, when i cant play footbag, my life is over.

I will never quit playing footbag. Yes, there will be a point where I'm going to have to put the brakes on trying to progress as a freestyler, but I think I'll always be able to at least kick.
So, when I'm 80 and can't butterfly anymore, I'll just try and beat the world consecutive kicks record.
...or maybe I'll do what everyone else does and play net.

No, I don't play soccer. Yes, there are competitions. 4 years. Lots of practice.

I saw that on the television the other day and I thought it was as cool as balls.Splint wrote: I have recently found Flare Bartending and I'm extremely motivated toward it. It hurts a lot less than freestyle these days.

You don't need to be in perfect footbag competition able form in order to teach footbag to others.
I intend to teach footbag regularly, help organize events, and hopefully by that time I will have made enough of a name for myself to show up at tournaments and sign all the young'uns shoes.
Whatever happens, I intend to be involved with footbag for a long time yet.
