Well, last night i kicked with Brad, but ever since I was trying a harder combo , I tweaked my knee a little to where I think I should rest it so I don't mess it up before the Jam. We played for 30 minutes, so that was one of the shortest sessions ever, possibly, the shortest. I'm gonna take a short break and not play so hard. When I played last night, it got progressively worse to where I could only do uptime sets off the left leg (uninjured) and other various moves were too hard to do (drifters, whirls, yatta yatta, injured side). That in a sense isn't a horrible thing, cause my flipside does need work. Brad coaxed me into trying higher add combos the previous session so I had fairy ducking butter > blurry whirl > p torque in mind, but after trying the fairy set over and over, my knee took the toll probably because of bad form. It brings an old memory back

Brad - Come on, you can hit barfly, keep trying.

Myself - I can't, I'm tiiired, I can't.

Brad - You're close, just hit it.

Myself - I can't, but I'll try.

Barfly > severe ankle sprain

I don't really mind being pushed some, but it's like dejavu, even though I didn't hurt myself bad this time. Just a memory that stands out I guess. So I guess I'll start kicking slowly in a couple days, and then hopefully I'll be ready to continue preparing for the WV Jam.

edit : status of trampoline - KICK ASS !! It's positioned perfectly that you can run and jump all the way across to either a limb that looks too far away to reach, but you can, or the grappling hook lofted way in the tree with the rope dangling down. It's my little ninja training camp <3

I severely sprained my ankle doing a paradon, still limping! Isn't that special. Careful with your ninja death camp - ninjas are notorious for going after your ankles.

Hey guys. I don't mean to bug you in your blog, and go off topic, but I am just letting you know that I just moved to West Virginia (close to Charleston area) the other day. Hope I can meet you guys soon, although I can't play much right now...just kick. Maybe I will make it to the jam.

Hey Pips, that's great news to me ! I don't know about those other two, but I'm glad to hear it. In other words, bug away cause there isn't any real flow to this blog other than random yattah yattah about this and that. Hopefully you can register soon, cause charleston is like less than 2 hours away so it'd be pretty easy to make it over for the jam. If not, it's all good, another time, another day. Hopefully I'll be ready for shred soon. I feel ready, but I told myself to wait a bit so I'd be completely ready.

Well, I don't want to speak too much on his part, so correct me if I'm wrong Brad. His shred time has been put into guitar and music studies. We've been jammin at my place every couple days and I've been playing the drums every day. Actually, I've been playing for about one month, and ever since that I haven't really touched CS:S much. Oh, and that's him holding up the wine/beer bong for me in the picture. His knee has still been bothering him with more agressive activities so there are still signs of patellar tendonitis.

On note of patellar tendonitis: I have to make a short presentation of a musculoskeletal dysfunction. So I'm going to do patellar tendonitis and it's relation to footbag. So I'll have a shred video playing while I explain the MS Dysfunction cause I'm pretty sure nobody knows what freestyle is.

Hopefully today I'll film some, I want to edit a HooD 3, but finals are next week so it might be a couple weeks until I actually get the footage and final edit out.

So I played briefly last night. I was gonna have brad film cause I wanna make a HooD 3, but we got the wrong camcorder from my friend ! Soo I just kicked a bit, I remembered that I was supposed to learn to hit 10 tripless unique string. I didn't think it would be that hard, but I was definitely given a reality check. So my current goals which I plan on doing them next sesh is... 10 tripless , 10 zulu clippers, and get some good footage in for the vid.

I can't believe that the jam is sooo close...so close !! I can't wait to get my kick on with everyone. Hopefully my body will be in agreement, and not be a whiny bitch about it and give me some sort of problem.

: Easy tripless - parkwalk > blur > dimwalk > ripwalk > ripwalk > blur > parkwalk > ducking butter > ducking butter > ps mirage

One I'd wrather hit cause it'd be more styley. - smoke > p. drifter >zulu butter > blur > smoke > p. drifter > ripwalk > ripwalk > zulu butter > blender. Or something neat like that *shrugs*

I'd just like to say that Symphony X is a fucking great band to see live. I find it hard to believe that I'll ever be as good at guitar as Michael Romeo, but I never thought I'd be able to do a pdx drifter either so we'll see.

WV JAM IS THIS WEEKEND.
