Footblog

Post by Xain »

I hit like 10 new moves in the past 2 weeks, so I decided to start a blog to keep track.

First of all I love to use what I call a dust set(like a dustpan), but I should probably just call it pendulous.

My latest new moves:
zoid ps mirage
tap
atom smasher
fear
fudge
paradox eggbeater
spinning clipper
spinning paradox mirage
spinning butterfly
merkon
x-body rake
pixie x-body rake
dust os butterfly
dust os osis
dust os x-body rake(I'm in love with this move)

recently my flipside has been getting a lot stronger too, but it still has a lot of work to catch up.

dust pretty much = pendulous
os= opposite

example-
dust os butterfly= pendulous set with right toe to left butterfly

Today I played for 2-1/2 hours, but didn't play so well because I was tired from running 9 miles yesterday. It was fun though, I worked on my flipside clipper and butterfly a lot, and my x-body rakes.

So today I woke up at 12 and just hung out all day, adn then went to this concert, where I ended up kicking a little. Just earlier I had figured out what bubba was(I hadn't really thought of it before), so I tried it, and hit it the second time I tried. I hit dust os X-body rake, and dust os butterfly a few times, and that made me happy. Also, I hit a clean osis, which I havn't done in the longest time for some reason.

Woooo! I just played for 2 hours, and hit swirl, butterfly swirl, and something like a pixie os butterfly x-body rake. I dunno if that last one is very clean, but the times I hit it I spoted it on the other side of my planted leg.

so yesterday it was playing around and hit dust os butterfly x-body rake. I was playing around a lot with butterfly rakes. also I hit swirl like 5/20 times I tried, which is good.

Today I woke up at 7 to bike 4 miles so I could run with the team. I ran in an hour and ten minutes, and finsihed be fore anyone else. Having not gone to practice everyday as I should, people asked if I was running on my own, or how I was so fast, and with pleasure I responded, "It's from playing footbag"

Today I got 2 new 32 panel bags made by Israel "Duster". I guess it's the third type of 32 panel I've gotten, excluding the juice bag that I got. So I'm not yet sure what to expect. they look like they're made for stalling, but the filler is all round so they roll like my mini abshire. I guess either they need to be broken in more, or I was just spoiled by the footfighter I bought( and subsequently ripped a stitch in)

On another note, I hit fairy ss x-body rake.

Today at 8pm it was getting dark and I was like"oh god.. I need to play footbag before it gets all dark!" so I went out and played for an hour and a half, and did mostly drills. 100 toes stalls(no drop!), 100 insides, 100 legovers, 100 clippers, 30 mirages, 20 pixies, 10 pendulous(dustpan), 10 dust overs, and some other stuff, and hit phoenix, and atom smasher, and almost hit quantum os pickup... I should've gone for toe blur.

So I just got back from a week of, and although I didn't find any freestylers, I think I may have birthed some. I sold about 5 or 6 mr. sandmans, and hit 2 new moves, ducking whirl and dyno. I hit some nice long titless strings with a lot of spinning and double leg overs. It was a good time, but I can't wait to play tomorrow.

ducking whirl is big! props bro.

good blog. are you comming to funtastiks?

whats your infinity record? you should try to break 5 if you havent. i think skooling osis, infinity, and pdx. mirage would help you a lot with string length. maybe even basics like mirage and legover, but it seems like your doing that already.

peace bro

I feel dumb especialy after props for it, that what I meant wasn't ducking whirl, but ducking x-body rake. My bad.

And yes, I can't wait for funtastiks.

No ones ever told me what infinity is, but I'm pretty sure it's butterfly op butterfly continued. I think I've gotten up to 3, because my left butterfly is weak.

As for osis's, I haven't hit a left sided one since the spike and shred, and I try a lot but almost never hit left clip>right osis, but hit right clip>right osis all the time.

My paradox mirages are a lot nicer than they were before summer started. I can hit it flipside almost as well as strong side. heres a drill I use a lot: pixie ss clipper> pdx mirage>repeat

and hopefully by funtastiks I'll have my flipside paradust down.

it was just a 6 panel cube, but it's kickable. I used it earlier today, but it's a little too big. It has kinda that floppy sandmaster feel going on.

On that note, I had some nice long titless runs today, with lots of 3's and a few 4's

Today I decided to rip some of my old running shoes(the brooks burn) into new footbag shoes, and they turned out pretty nice. The toe area is a little narrower than lavers, and the inside is really thin mesh that I ended up ripping acidently in sevral places. I'd say they compare well with lavers.

In my first session with them earlier today I was hitting long titless strings, and hit my left butterfly more than normal. it was fun.

so today I stitched up a 4 panel bag. somehow I really screwed it up in a few places, but if it wern't ofr those screw ups the bag might be pretty nice.

last night I colored in my brooks beasts. here's a couple pictures
