Wow, The Internet is such a great tool, glad my parent finally found out about it.

Sooo i havent posted in about 2 months, and I've missed tons of stuff, which includes chris announcing a rochester jam. Hopefully i get some more details and that i can get a day off or 2 so that i can come out and jam.

Matt hope Europe is treating you good, hope to hear more from you.

Quick recap of my summer so far.
NJ was awesome, took first in Novice Net Singles .
ECC was fun, took first in Novice Net Doubles, with my friend John.
So far, aside from NJ and ECC, I have freestyled only a handful of times all summer, very dissappointing. I have hit some new moves and had a few good strings when i got to kick with Pat out to the Syracuse Nationals Car show. Hopefully he put a few words about that in here. Got some lil kids to play, and got a few questions from random people.

Won't be online much since i work a lot and i only have dial up, but hopefully I'll see some more footbag time. Move back to Rochester at the end of August and then I will definitely pick up some more time to shred.

Hey josiah, I was away for the weekend so I didnt make a new thread. I shall in just a moment.

Good to hear from you Aric. Hopefully you can make here it in a couple weekends. About the jam here... it looks like August 6,7 will work for everyone (friday arrivals are cool too), and we've got free places to stay for anyone who comes. I can host, Paul can host, and I haven't been able to talk to Mike yet.

No kind of schedule or venue has been planned out yet. I was thinking that we could at least spend Saturday here in Geneseo where I live. About 30-40 minutes south of the city. It's a college town so it's pretty empty during the summer, and we have a sweet park here that would be perfect. It has tennis courts and a big pavillion in case it rains. I have a nice big house with two other students. There's an empty bedroom, two free beds, couches, and plenty of floor space. Also we have a back yard in case lots of people showed up and we needed to set up my tent. It would make a good party spot Saturday night as well.

So, as long as no Rochesterians object to coming down to G-town, that's what we'll do. Attendees so far are Myself, Paul, Josh, Will, Matt. To be confirmed are Mike, Zach, Pat Thomsen, Aric, and a few others that I still need to ask (Torontoites? Kingstoners?). If any of you that are coming know anyone else that I may have left out, tell them to come. Thanks.

I'll make a Journeys to Tourneys thread tomorrow once I've figured out a few more things.

Awesome. Willie and I were thinking about heading up late friday. Driving all day and then shredding makes our legs stiff hehe. If thats ok with you that is Chris.

Hopefulyl Pat Tallon will be comming with us. And my step brother Greg, the one whose going to Geneseo might come up with us too and shred and party. we'll get into details later.

ello all!

Soo yeah modified has been a stranger to me and for good reason. I've decided that I need to slump back into a dark corner and just skool by myself with only very random appearances. I just feel like I don't contribute enough to a shred circle yet and until I feel I'm plenty ready I doubt I will for a while - I've struggled some time now that I'm a slow learner at this game but I accepted it after GRASS and I could care less. I'm still going to play till I'm like 30 or at least until my legs don't give out (I expect around 25 or 26). Ten years should be PLENTY of time to become guiltless, eh?
So about this jam. Man oh man it would have been cool at least to see everyone again but unfortunately that weekend I'm off to Cape May with my folks to go visit a whole side of my family I don't get to see more than once a year. Lots of new second cousins and all. Probably shouldn't miss that. Sorry, Chris and everyone expecting all RFA members to be there. I really wish I could've made it. I'll see if I can hook up with some people in the Albany area when I go to Siena (aric surprised me by with all the good players in that area. I thought it was completely footbag-dead. Phew) and maybe I can bum a ride with them to a second annual GRASS or anything up in Kingston or Toronto. Should be fine. So happy shredding everyone and I'll talk to you guys later.

Its a shame, but don't be discouraged since you missed it. You'll go guiltless in no time; just set aside at least an hour every single day. Solitary shred can be really really beneficial, take it from me

Too bad you cant make it to rochester this summer... where are you going to school in the fututre?

i'm at the airport, I'm boarding my flight pretty soon. I had a sandwich and a pint of beer for breafast. my legs feel good, I think my next shred will go well. The final shred yesterday was an absurd situation... Some finns, some danes, and tom and I. I lost Tom's memory card from his camera for an hour or so, and we both got really stressed because we looked EVERYwhere and we couldn't find it, but then I found it in a little crevice in the pocket of my pants. So, then I went to go get us beers, and I ran into the coach's representative by the soccer field, and got some surprise advice for tom, which he appreciated, as the coach is wise. we kicked for a while... I hit toe blur b2b, and jani walker bsos. I had one day where I was rocking out whipping sets, but I can't as well since then. Tom can do them, he did them for everyone at worlds. I wish I had taken some pictures or done some journaling. I'll have to remember that for next time.

Is this jam going on or what? Someone make a post about it. It would be a lot of fun. I'm not on duty on this one, sosomeone else will have to take the lead. less than a week is a hard amount of time in which to make a jam, is this just going to be a big session. Digges's, can you pick me up in Rome?

Matt, all of the planning has been taken care of. There's a thread in Journies. We're gonna do this in Geneseo and everyone is welcome to stay at my house. Extra beds, couches, and plenty of floor. Everything we need (park,campus, food) is within a 10 minute walk from here. And I'm going to try to feed you guys what I can.

There will be more than 6 of us, up to maybe 10 or so. That's about what I expected going into this. Not huge, but a good size for a little jam. Does Tom know about this? I won't be able to talk to him until he's back from Worlds, but I doubt he will be able to come right after such a big trip. I'll talk to him soon.

We are set for shred, sleep, eat, and party-- all the best parts of life.

Also, the Wegmans here has begun selling Vitamin Water... I was thinking about buying a case if everyone wants to chip in. But first I have to find out the price.

I just got some sweet news, I'm being hired to do a footbag gig in Long Island again, this time for a 16th birthday party! It's going to be August 25th, right before I leave to meet Nasty Nate and the Executioner before funtastik! This has been the crazy summer of footbag for me, and there's only more on deck!! Roch jam tomorrow, then Funtastik!!! woooo!! party!!

playing at geneseo yesterday was pretty cool. we started at around 1 and finished around 5. We did some taping, and I think we got some good moves from everyone, so between yesterday and today, we should be able to make a cool video. I hit legbeater gyro toe (atomic wauxpin) and fairy symp swirling stepping op butterfly. That last one took a lot of tries. I think I can get it on film today, we'll see. Willie was really close to paradox tapping double down rake, really cleanly. That's another one I want to see today... Anyway... back to breakfast / soul caliber.

Oh man, there's a contact case and a bottle of saline solution, some CD's (RJD2 and something called Nasir Jones), a toothbrush, a half-eaten submarine sandwich on the porch that has attracted stray cats, and enough empty bottles to provide a small fortune in deposit money. I made out like a bandit.

Hey chris i had a real good time this weekend, sorry i couldnt leave you any cool stuff.

For only playing 4 or 5 hours in the past 2 months I'm happy with the way I played this weekend. Lots of nice strings on Friday night, and some new moves.

I footed neo ss drifter, and friday night a couple of us were messing around in sock feet, i hit frantic pickup and footed beta frenzy.

Saturday i hit darkwalk swirl (pixie diving butterfly swirl)

See everyone back in rochester around august 30th-ish.

the rochester jam was good good fun, we partied hard and played harder. I'm psyched that we got my new 4-dex, levitating butterfly, on video. It's a distant shot, so I hope we can highlight the bag or brighten the shot or something. I'm told that we can expect a video in the next few days. I can't wait.

I played for half an hour in the heat today, but it went pretty well. i footed levitating butterfly twice, then relearned gyro and spinning ducking (clean now, finally), then hit 184 infinities, then jani walker > blurry whirl both sides, then 224 infinities (new record!). It was a good short session.

I believe I'm heading to Rochester this weekend to play with Mike Anello in the early day, and then out for a jam session afterwards. I'm looking forward to it.

im in!

i also played today, and i finally feel like my ducking and diving is falling into place. i hit a string of at least 15 tiltless/guiltless and it had bsos ducking clippers, diving clippers and a diving osis.

my spinning is becoming really comfortable already, without even thinking about it ahead of time i threw a gyro mirage and a spinning mirage down midstring.

oh man, even though my legs are still whipped from this weekend, i felt really tight and fast today, and some of my strings were really long.

i also started a string with

whirl>rev whirl>whirl>rev whirl x 4>rev whirling rake>string

Hello New Yorkers,
a french friend of mine is moving to NYC in October for a couple of years he asked me if there were any shredders there. Do you know of any? yeah I could check out .org but listings aren't always up to date.
