Firstly thanks so much for getting the vids out so quickly. It's great to see. This should definitly be a priority at all footbag tournaments - it makes a really good impression - it makes it look like you're organised and have planned the entire event well so it gives you a lot of credit.
It also feels like I am really there in a way too
I actually feel like vasek did NOT win sick 3 this year. They are still hard tricks, but they were the same things he was busting a couple years ago. Still awesome hard though. I think I liked felix's the best (that was felix right??)

Its just about that confusing...
Peter Irish isnt just one of the best players this sport ever had,
he is among the few, who really understood footbag ; all their technical
abilities aside, its guys like Pete, Allan or Ahren who transform
the sport of footbag to the art of freestyle .
Thanks for all your contributions and for this snippet of beauty, ie your
routine !
Doesn't it seem like Vasek always hits the same Big 3? I mean in the style of moves he chooses. There is almost always a Spinning PS Whirl, Spinning Ducking PS Whirl, Spinning Blender, yada yada yada....
well, i was the on-site judge for sick3 and i judged the intermediate finals...
about sick3 i'd say that after reviewing it in slomo, that vasek's whirls are very thin on his combos.
and to be honest i was quite bored as well by the combos he hit, but still i think that his 2nd combo is clearly harder than felix'. felix had more variety and executed the moves cleaner, but vaseks are still much harder IMO
the point of this is that in the end it comes down to not more than this phrase: IMO
my opinion right after the sick3 counted, and this is the problem with sick3 as always. especially if it is done as informal as this year...
about the judging on the intermediate finals i'd be glad to explain my reasons for judging. just please say what exactly you think should have been different.

Yeah totally. Judging for any competition should have no relation at all on the players previous performances. That's unfair bias.
My opinion on sick 3s would have been 1. Vasek, 2. Felix, 3. Honza.
I don't really understand why Honza's combo beat Felix's - or even know which combo did. I would theorise that it's because Felix's is more one sided - but then why did Vasek still win? If one sidedness was an issue it would have been 1. Honza 2. Vasek 3. Felix
However sick 3 is obviously hard to judge - especially when there are no rules or guidelines to use. They players obviously hit good combos. Vasek's was clearly the hardest - for me at least. If vasek wants to hit the same combos and bore the crowd that's his choice. Only bad judges would take that into account.
I actually did like Carol's routine more than Tina's.
Except for the pauses in tinas on beat, i think carols was more artistic, and she had some cool moves in there. Old school stuff. Ripwalk>pdx drifter>ss butter>torque was great!
They were very close, but i think the judges got it right. Again, i could be wrong.

Yeah, you're right about not taking into account previous sick 3.
I guess its just refreshing to see something new from someone, and not what he's hit before. Its no doubt hard, vaseks combos, but I've seen them before. The judges must be really good to not take into account previous ones in favor of new ones by others.
