Very awesome. Vasek hit so many big moves in this routine wihtout dropping once. He had a lot more crowd interaction and used the floor space more in this routine than in his finals routine. Of course, preliminaries would be a little less stressful than finals.

Thank you for sharing this video. The quality is great.

Um.....I....well....uh....that....phew..... 8O

Breathe Ben, breathe.

Ok, that was....insane. THE BEST routine I've ever seen.

Thank so much for the video and the quality was awesome.

It was kind of comforting that Vasek actually got winded by that routine. At least we know he can get tired and that he is at least partly human. 8O

Simply the best.

EDIT: What did that guy say to Vasek at the end? I couldn't understand what he said.

This is definitely a better routine than his finals routine, in my opinion.

Pretty solid...but it really was a bit of a shred 2 minutes...

Still amazing, but I don't really see it as a "Routine", you know?

Don't get me wrong. Simply Incredible...but I want more audio cohesion.

hmm...where have i seen that username before...

8O

but anyway, back on topic. yeah, i didnt understand the guy at the end either, and i was curious. and yeah...that was definitely the best routine i have seen. vasek has clearly gotten better at the juggling, though he has always been insane at it.

Mads says "One comment for the routine..!"
Vasek nods and smiles..
Mads says "OK?"
Vasek smiles and laughs..

-or something like that. He was basically asking if Vasek was happy with the routine..

I thought the first half was one of the best routines/runs I have ever seen. I like how he kept doing same side butterfly stuff-- sidewalks, down double downs, etc. After the first half he seemed to focus more on just using a lot of different things (one thing I don't like too much about his style). Still, that first half ROCKED MY SOCKS.

I can't get enough of the symp whirls and symp whirling swirls. This video reminded me of his european semi final a lot too... probably because of the song.

Haven`t seen it on the computer yet, but I remember when I saw it live, I thought there were a lot of "thed" tricks in there. The fact that most of the judges are unable to pick up on them is something that needs to be addressed as well. I`ll try and watch this later and see how apparent it is... did nobody else watching from home pick up on all the "the?" When he finished his routine several high level players I was near agreed with me that it wasn`t a very clean routine.

Even when I first saw it though, I had to give respect for the droplessness, and also for the fact that the crowd got so into it. Those two things are worth a lot in my book.

From my point of view, the only terribly obviously the move was the barroque at the end, but I would like to see anybody else hit barroque clean after 120 contacts including 2 6's a 7 and a range of 5's like that :p

yeah I would say most of the hard double down moves were probably "the" or thin enough to warrent a lowing of the score. A few others too. Still it's a very technically impressive routine and you'd have to give it a score very close to perfect regardless of the cleanliness - probably 5.8 or 5.9.

Artisitically I would say that it's fairly low. 0 Drops counts for a lot artistically in my opinion but really there was very little choreography after the start. I'd say maybe a score of 5.0 would be a fair score.

Still it clearly shows that technically Vasek is a long way away from 2nd in the world and I think if I had his abilities I'd definitly hit a similar kind of routine for the first round.
