I've used to run 2 miles twice a week just to stay in shape. I would get around 14:00 I think. But I am by no means a long distance runner, but I can pwn in short distances.

No, I don't play soccer. Yes, there are competitions. 4 years. Lots of practice.

Just started running a mile a week to get my heart rate up and what not. Last week it was 8:00, yesterday it was 7:35. I focused on breathing in through my nose and out my mouth and it seemed to help a lot. The last hill was a lot easier to tackle this last time around.

1 mile isn't long distance, but it is a distance race.

I dont run distances....I just get out and run until I cant. It is great. My endurance is that of a wild mustang. Im training for the 2007 San Deigo marathon. 26 miles ladies and gentlemen.

I used to run, I'm retired though.

My best time was 5:11 during a "practice meet" so I could've maybe broken 5 in a real meet.

11:14 two mile

Longest run was 90 minutes. All the black flies would be dead sticking to your sweaty skin (well, when you did have any sweat to sweat) along with salt particles from your sweat glands. Yeah, those were good days.

I couldn't be further from a distance runner in physique, if I tried.
Comment in the BCS blog if you feel the need to.

What if you cut your legs off?

I used to go alright in middle distance stuff - up to 6km. I think my time was around 28 minutes for that. I also used to run 10km once a week for a while and got down to a time of under 50 minutes. I don't think I have that fitness anymore but I don't really know. It's about 3 or 4 years since I've done any serious running training.

I run 3-Mile courses all time, sometimes with gear, sometimes without. I average 19:00 minutes, my best time was somewhere around the low 18:00's.

I run a bit over 1.5 miles in 10 minutes 4 or 5 times a week, working up to 6.
I really enjoy it, and it's certainly helping my game, plus I don't get shin splints any more, and my knees are getting better.

An endurance helper for footbag or running is Racquetball. Holy shit racquetball is the coolest sport ever. I got into in like 7 months ago and I have played just about every day since unless I was to sick to move. It is so fast paced and just fun. Buy a nice racquet and go beat the shit out of those little blue balls.

I ran Cross Country throughout highschool. I just graduated this year. We used to have 2.8-3.7mile races at different cross country courses.

dang that guy with the black fly story thats crazy nice time too! I dont think i ever broke 5:30 for the mile, that was track tho we did three mile races on dirt at griffith park... i didnt like training with the track team either, they were too no nonsense... the x-country guys were jokesters! pranks all the time like this thing we called 'phone missiles' when we did workouts on city streets any guy that tried to hang with varsity on the run might get a payphone swung off the hook straight to the face! coach made them stop when some kid got his nose broken

but ya we used to run on 'blackout days' in summer workouts, days specified by the surgeon general or whatever to not do strenuous exercise because of the bad air quality... i remember one time on a six mile run to LA Brea Blvd. appropriately called a 'Ninja Turtles' run because of the silly mural on the wall of the street where it depicted a Spanish version of the teenage mutants themselves...some kid passed out and we had to call the coach. i remember seeing on the news later that night it was 107 degrees in downtown LA that day. plus, of course, the all knowing all-choking equilizer was omnipresent

SMOG!!!
